I changed every single ID in finite water and game still crashes...
I installed mods on fresh copy of MC in this sequence:
1. ModLoaderSP
2. Preader
3. Better than wolves
4. Finite Water
after this i changed IDs in FW setting txt in mod folder. Finally launching game... without success :sad.gif: Game crashes and im not able to copy crash log because its closing itself after 1 sec... dont know whats going on
Did you compare the IDs to Better then wolves, none of them can be the same. Also where is ModLoader, not ModloaderSP.

Hm...the mod is awesome already. There just seems to be something missing... OH! I KNOW! How about WATER ANIMATIONS! those would great with this, don't you think? Oh. And know all those other mods with blocks that referance default textures? You could probably do that somehow? It just seems really boring having the water move without moving. :sad.gif:

FiniteLiquid is no longer completely compatible with Better Than Wolves. Djoslin's changes to the fire and piston classes in the latest release can't coexist with the changes made by BTW.
I installed them in the other order (FL, then BTW) and got the game to run fine, but then of course the compressor doesn't work and oil is not flammable.
Is anyone else discovering some strange behavior since the latest update? Pumping water from the ocean (or even finite sources) into a new, dry area seems to be fruitless. It's as if the water is either evaporating very quickly or is being absorbed into the ground, no matter what the block type. This means that I can't fill up areas with water.
Anybody else getting similar results or is it just me?
One problem I'm finding is that when I place a pipe block and hook a pump up to red stone, some of the pipe blocks go dark grey and the pump wont work.
That's intentional.

Five minutes later, the Predator was killed in a tragic incident involving bloodthirsty baby chicken.
I have a farm in a dome under the ocean with water underneath it. I blocked off the hole that was allowing water in a while ago, before the recent update. I recently re-opened it, but the area under my farm isn't filling with water. I can see the water flowing down the hole I opened up, but the water level isn't rising.
i downloaded this and i love it but i am have some problems filling the tanks. I have set up a system where a piston is going automaticly into the compressor ( jump to 1:17 to see how he started the "rapid fire" but i adopted his idea to a piston instead of a dispencer) but when i right click with an empty tank it "fills" but when i use it it really does not seem to work? Help plz. Thank you so much for the help.

If your saying that the tank doesn't provide you oxygen underwater like its' supposed to I can't get the tank or the goggles to work either. I can fill teh tank with air using just a simple piston and a lever with teh air compressor but once i drop into the water my air runs out at the same rate and i start taking damage.
I believe somebody else pointed out that the oxygen tank doesn't work as well. I havn't seen anybody confirm that it works. This is problematic as cave flooding is much more likely to occur with this update and its' hard to explore the flooded geometry of a cave and prepare it for pumping iwthout some extended breathing source.
Whatever the case djoslin is updating the spider mod and is tryign to actually release a his own game so I'm not sure when this will be corrected.

Version 1.40 is included in the download. The only thing you need is the PReader.class file; you can ignore everying else.
Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.
Thanks so much!
My pump powered by red stone won't pump water. But my pump powered just by a lever will pump water. Anyone know why?And it works fine once i say something. figures.
