The game still loads after that, but maybe you are getting a black screen because of one of those "not a valid stat" or "CHECKSUM MISMATCH"?
I am loading finite liquid v3, Property Reader 1.5_01 and Modloader (it doesn't have a file version on the name) downloaded yesterday.
This probably doesn't make a difference, but I am on Mac and using MineCrafter 1.2.4 which loads all of the mods on top of your minecraft.jar, so it is really easy to tell if you have mod conflicts or something isn't loading correctly.

Any Mac friends having trouble installing forge on your minecraft_server.jar files? Check out my script that lets you do it easily with one simple click! For more info look here http://www.minecraft...-click-install/
ID conflicts can be manged in the properties file.
If other mods you have installed use the same class files that this mod does then they are NOT COMPATIBLE.

Now you know my pain. I tried to help everyone with a problem for a month or so, I really tried.

I've been doing some updating to FiniteLiquid. I'm pretty sure it's running about twice as fast (kind of). I figured out multiple areas of the code where it was running lots of stuff it wasn't supposed to. For instance, sponges that generated in the ocean would evaporate slowly and suck up a little bit of ocean which would make the ocean check to see if it was ocean every minute or so. The ocean check code is CPU intensive, now it's called a lot less. I did little fixed like that all over the place, and it's running a lot faster.
I then tried to add water pressure, but man. It just won't work, it doesn't make sense.
But I moved past that and split up the code and reorganized it instead. Now I should be able to expand and create new liquids easier than in the past. (Hopefully oil / cement / quicksand coming soon).
In the meantime, check out the Spider Queen. I've been slaving away at version 2, and it's just about done.
Here's the forum thread, it has more information about v2.
is there a way to turn off the creation of rain puddles ? this so ruined the mod for me actually, it just screws up any other mods content agressivly like wireless redstone or buildcrafts pipes.
there are just too many i use with this beeing able to be disabled i would love these mod again, used it before that got implented.
This mod comes with a useful thing. Called a properties file located (for pc) in you minecraft root directory/mods/djoslin/
it contains many helpful PROPERTIES of the mod you can change to your liking. I advise you to look at it.
i found the file but zeroing the rain puddle amount or even set it to -1 like some of the values are set to gets me nothing more than a blackscreen with an unresponding application so not even a proper error log, when creating or loading a world ( one of my 1.5_01 worlds which had finite liquid in it ).
Hint: The setting you're looking for is FiniteLiquid_RainCreatesFiniteLiquid.
Bonus hint: You can set up to 5 blocks as "solid" and up to 5 more blocks as "semi-solid".

no need to be cynic here.
First of each and every mod puts its property file somewhere else dunno why there is no such thing as a set standard here set by mojang and secondly as i postet in my edit i found the file but zeroing the rain puddle amount or even set it to -1 like some of the values are set to gets me nothing more than a blackscreen with an unresponding application so not even a proper error log, when creating or loading a world ( one of my 1.5_01 worlds which had finite liquid in it ).
Well, this is a first: two mods (FiniteLiquid and BetterWinters) with a file conflict (ng.class) that still work together without crashing Minecraft. The only apparent side effect is that the water texture is no longer animated (though that seems to happen with either mod's ng.class file, so I don't think that's what it does). I wonder if the HD Patcher set to 16x16 would fix it...
I noticed that your mod fries blocks too and not just organic matter.
Is this normal? Any way to prevent it?
The reason is I am building a nuclear reactor in IC with a boiling effect for the water that is added to it... However, as long as the cables are "cooked" it is kinda hard.

hey i was thinking of making a server that uses this mod, is there any way to get this single player mod to work on multiplayer? and maybe also add industrial craft with it :smile.gif:

IC has its own server compatibility, and to my knowledge Finite Liquid is not SMP compatible.

Hmm, I wonder what that file is. Strange.
FiniteLiquid doesn't animate the water surface yet.

first i'd like to say this mod is amazing, 'cause i was damn annoyed by the original water physics(never-still water huh).
but i'd also like to give some of my suggestions.
1. could sides of originally generated water be lower than banks? it doesn't look good when water is level with banks.
2. could you change to using the original water and lava block id instend of using the new ones?some mods(like minimap, biomewater) aren't compatible with it.all these mods are wonderful and i don't want to uninstall any of them : )
I was using the mod but now I can't see your water on any of my maps what happened
It only happens on fancy graphics but it worked fine on fancy before

Go to your .minecraft folder and find the modloader.txt and copy whats in their and post it within a [code block].
The mod in its current state does not have multyplayer support.
This should help.
