How about hardcore refrigeration/food storage? Different foods last more or less time without refrigeration. Raw meats? 1-2 days. Pastries/Breads last for a week, but you can build a fridge (or freezer!). Maybe use a dehydrator to make some jerky or some salt for corned beef or whatever. I dunno I'm just trying to contribute in here. Awesome mod FC I'm having fun getting to know it!
Yeah...I've never been particularly keen on suggestions guys, and considering how close to the end BTW is right now, there's about zero likelihood I'd implement any of them anyways.
FlowerChild, I've noted that the Detector Block and Block Dispenser are still Anvil recipes* and thus require uh, "Age of End" technology. Is this by design?
* - as far as I can tell. They can still be assembled on an anvil as before, and I haven't been able to figure out any equivalents for the workbench.

There's one thing that FlowerChild really needs to do... This isn't a suggestion, this is a vanilla bug/oversight that unfairly limits certain people's enjoyment of the mod. And I mean in a bad way, so I feel comfortable in saying that. You can't type in certain languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic, because they are entered using an IME, and Minecraft treats IME as non-keyboard input. This is a problem that Mojang should have fixed in 1.6 when they updated the LWJGL, or at least before they decided to go to Tokyo. Of course people who speak those languages always use mods (such as this one) to fix that problem, but they're not compatible with BTW. Currently there's no sign that Mojang will fix this on their own. Besides this, another common complaint of foreign MC players is that the Unicode font sucks. Although that is not nearly as much of a priority and it might not even be a job for FC. One thing that Mojang actually has been working on as far as foreign languages go, is the handling of Bidi and Arabic. FC might want to port that fix over if it's any good.
Yeah, I don't provide translation support of any kind. It's beyond my capacity as a lone developer to sweat stuff like that.
I'm sorry, your mod is so good I forgot you weren't omnipotent... Well, it doesn't really affect me personally, so I'm not really invested in this, but I guess that will just have to wait until the mod is finished and FC is comfortable with allowing addons again. Or unless Mojang fixes it all and it's possible to be ported over. Well, let's just use this as an opportunity to vote that issue up on the vMC bug tracker.
How about Hardcore Brewing? Don't you think the brewing system is way too simple and easy to use?
If you could port the original cauldron brewing system from the beta 1.9 prerelease 2 I think that would be a big improvement and a very nice feature to the mod. I sometimes go back to that version just to play with the cauldron.. It's really fun.

Would it be too much of a request to ask you to add something to accomodate that? Since egg and wool production could be automated I assumed milk could too. Was surprised that was not the case.
Yes, it would be way too much.
While there's a large dose of "automate all the things!" in my design philosophy, if you spend some time thinking about the nature of milk in Minecraft you'll realize that automating it would be a whole lot of hassle for very little benefit. It's both a resource whose nature (such as the way it's stored in buckets and it being a liquid that originates from an entity) doesn't lend itself to automation, and one whose role I've intentionally and largely restricted to early game food sources because of it. Given manual collection of resources is the norm in the early game, the impact of not being able to automate it is thus minimal.
So no, not going to happen. I've put a fair amount of thought into it in the past and it just doesn't make sense in terms of cost/benefit. While I appreciate your desire for a full-auto cake factory, me investing a ton of work into making something like that happen simply isn't worth it.
yeah,sure... but I never hardcore spawn... First time I die, I spawn only 50 blocks away
HC Spawn isn't a guarantee you're going to spawn in the middle of nowhere. You get lucky from time to time, and it sounds like that's what happened to you.
Please don't say yes.
I think he said he'd have a short break and then begin working on his new game.

Yup.
Nope.
now i wonder how much coffee and beer and cigarettes were consumed in the making of BTW.probably more than is healthy :P.
Not to mention how much has been consumed playing BTW. My desk is full of empty snuff cans.

You're likely dying too frequently in quick succession, in which case, you don't get warped to the next morning.
Either that, or you're playing multiplayer, where time doesn't warp either for obvious reasons.

I die a couple of times and I always respawn near my cave.
