Spartan , BTW isn't , or will ever be , compatible with forge. It isn't that much of a loss , as this mod makes for a better , more balanced experience than most forge mods together.
Well , there's a way to get it for forge- but i'm not going to mention it here because i TOTALLY hate that rip-off. Also , BTW would become useless if you use it with forge mods , specially tech ones , as they usually get the job done with one magic block or a bunch of magic blocks on some futuristic looking , yet boringly simple device that doesn't require a lot of thinking. So something as wonderful as BTW would become eyecandy.
FC is on his right to stop using forge as he already does this entire mod for free and he was one of the FOUNDERS of the forge.
Think of it , you can always use tools as MultiMC or multiple .minecraft folders so you can use the mod.
Really? I was thinking of setting up an automated system that breeds cats then promptly drops them into a mob grinder.
I will hate you for the rest of my life if you did something like that. How dare you do something as inhumane as killing cats in minecraft. It's like.. like.. punching sheep to death.
this mod was great when i had it for 1.2.5, is there anyway to install it with forge? because if there is i'd definitely install again for 1.4.5
May I ask how it was better with 1.2.5? Cause it wasn't forge compatible then either and the only things that I've seen that have made this mod "worse" are the new vanilla features added since then.

MC 1.2.5 was the last version that had BTB, so he might be referring to that, doubtful, but its the holiday season; I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
I really wonder how to find other players to play tet-a-tet or something like that, since i don't find any anywhere any groups or forums where BTW users gathering together.
sargunster.com doesen't count.
I have been building my map solo for a long time and now i feel like to show it to someone who can give me a usefull tips using mod's advantages.
FC is on his right -snip- he was one of the FOUNDERS of the forge.
It's interesting how many people forget that. I can't remember the last time a forge user dropped by and said, "Hey, FC, thanks for helping to pioneer the forge. I know you feel differently about the project now, but we forge users still appreciate the hard work you put into it."
Cat bed with storage/compression as a secondary function.

I'm not sure if it counts, but I regularly "thank" myself for helping to create the monster that is trying to consume me.
Usually, expressing such gratitude involves the heavy consumption of alcoholic beverages
But yeah, for tips on the mod's advantages and tricks, there really is no better place than the forum where the modmaker himself, and BTW legends like Battosay spend time.
Hello everyone.
I'm here to expose what has been, to me, a very annoying occurance in the hope Flowerchild will consider doing something to change it: the rain.
Skip it is the only thing that I really miss from the addiction of hardcore beds, and not for the overpowering of the windmills, that's something that affects you only in the first stage of the game and in general not that big of a deal, the problem is that the rain is loud, laggy, and more than everything it's really too frequent, I've not measured it accurately but I think it rains roughly every three or four minecraftian days. Yes, you can go caving in the meantime, but here came the second problem: it last too little. I know it sound contradictory but it isn't, by the time you'd get ready to go caving a quarter the time the rain last would already be wasted, in general if I go caving when I return tha rain has already stopped from a while and it doesn't take long until it starts again. I'd rather have the rain be rarer but last for several days, as it is now I find it annoying in a trivial way, like a guy that taps you repeatedly on the shoulder.
Edit: what's with all these banners about independence? I must have missed something.
If you take a moment to read this, you'll notice that one of the reasons HCBedding was implemented was to allow weather to actually have an impact on gameplay.
I personally don't think a "solution" to weather is necessary. BTW has never been about making the game easier, and anarchy is a clear overarching theme in the mod. It's about adding another condition to be weary of when going about your day. Rain/Snow are dangerous because they lower the light level enough to allow for hostile spawns, but the occurrence of weather effects can't be predicted like nightfall. I read you bit about it raining less often with a longer duration and such an idea sounds like it was conflict with the chaotic nature of weather and would in fact lower the danger it adds to gameplay.
If you don't like rain, build in a Desert biome like thekillman suggested. If you don't want to build in the desert, there are a number of ways to deal with weather effects, but you're best bet outside of playing on Peaceful is to dig a hole and hunker down until it passes.
I guess im lucky in that I dont get lag from rain, nor do I have an issue with my windmill breaking because I always hook redstone and lever to the first gear box. I only turn the power on when i need it.
I'm a little confused on how you find the rain annoying. Is it because it stops windmills from producing mechanical power? Or is it the sound it makes? Or is it something else like hostile mobs spawning during thunderstorms?
Why raining less often for a longer time should conflict with the chaotic nature of weather? You equally wouldn't be able to predicte it, and you equally would have a fair amount of time of danger, it would only change the balancing of it.
If it rains less often, that lowers the chance for it to mess up your day, regardless of whether or not it rains for a longer duration.
Edit: and I want to add that my problem aren't monster that spawn and/or don't burn, but the fact that the rain makes the game lag as hell and is very noisy, which makes it annoying.
Your last line makes it sound like you're asking for an amendment to the mod to compensate for the quality of your hardware...
But yeah, for tips on the mod's advantages and tricks, there really is no better place than the forum where the modmaker himself, and BTW legends like Battosay spend time.
The reason sargunster.com didn't count was the missing registration link there. Now it's there. I'm shure it wasn't there yesterday.
my server is running right now, and its ip 91.78.189.174
I've missed that post, thank ph1il and excuse me everyone if I posted about something that has already been discussed. I'm very glad to learn that something will be tryed to address this issue and in the meantime I'll low the particles as reapert suggested.
No worries man. Yeah, I'll be taking a look at weather balance in the near future, I just haven't had a chance to get to it yet as it's the kind of thing that will take extensive play testing to get just right.
-Added raw and cooked Mutton as new food items, as I got tired of waiting for Mojang to get around to it
-Added a "clean" version of the Chopping Block. When first created, it will be clean, and will become dirty through use. Dirty blocks may also be cleaned by using Soap in a heated Cauldron, with a single bar of Soap cleaning 4 Chopping Blocks.
-Added the ability to grind skeleton skulls into bone meal with the Mill Stone.
-Added internal functionality to differentiate between ice blocks formed out of source water blocks, and those that aren't with Hardcore Buckets enabled. This means that source ice will turn back into source water when harvested, so that you will no longer get unsightly holes in your frozen lakes when breaking it, and that ice blocks you move yourself will melt into temporary water as they do now. Note that all ice that was in existence previous to this change is considered to be made of source water, which may result in old manually placed ice blocks turning into source water when broken.
-Added internal functionality so that smooth stone pedestals and oak tables, use the same texture indexes the old blocks of the same type did, so that texture pack artists can keep their old textures for those blocks. Note that oak benches also use the same textures as oak tables for consistency.
-Added internal functionality so that add-on authors can determine how their blocks function when cut by a Saw.
-Added internal hook to specify the size of the animated Stoked Fire texture, for use by MCPatcher.
-Changed the vanilla bow so that it will fire any Rotted Arrows in your inventory before regular ones, given that Rotted Arrows are less valuable (since they can't be reused) and do the same damage. Note that this doesn't affect the Composite Bow since it can not effectively fire Rotted Arrows.
-Changed infinity enchanted arrows to shatter on impact, similar to Rotted Arrows.
-Changed the way Hardcore Spawning works so that it functions properly on super-flat maps.
-Fixed problem with Benches and the mod's custom fences not rendering properly under certain circumstances.
-Fixed problem with mod food-items not displaying particles with the right texture when eaten.
-Fixed problem with golems not displaying dig particles for the block they are walking on when wandering around, and the same for players when they are sprinting. Similar to the food fix above, they now also display correctly for mod blocks.
-Fixed problem with the wood-based column recipes granting 4 columns, instead of the appropriate 1.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Yeah...that makes sense. I always like to rule out the primary online community for something, when I'm looking for an online community related to it.

Well lag, I'm not sure how to fix that but you can get rid of the sound by changing your particles to the lowest setting.
