This is one of the best mods i've ever seen in my life!
The only way it could get better is if it were multiplayer!
But sadly that will all change because of 1.2.0 is almost out and that will be a **** load of work for you to do so i congratulate you and feel sorry for you. :ohmy.gif: :cool.gif:
Yes that's what I mean. When I click the switch on the gearbox which connects to the pulley and cuts its power, it doesn't descend. i forgot to mention I had too many items.
All power needs to be cut, including redstone. Redstone to the pulley makes it hold position. If the pulley has no power of any sort running to it, and is supplied with ropes, it will descend. If you don't have any more ropes it the pulley, that could be the problem, too.
Is this with a large number of Lenses place or something, or is this just in general?
It's happening in general, with or without lens.
But for some reason it's only happening on my new BTW world :/ (that didn't happen in the 3.492 version)

If it's not related to the Lens, then it is unlikely to have anything to do with the mod.
I haven't changed anything that should remotely affect general performance....nor do I ever for that matter.
Wow, I'm super impressed with the lens. I totally didn't expect this anytime soon. I have to thank you again for your amazing work. I can't wait to try this out!
But at the same time, the release before this one didn't act like that :/
Whatever, gotta take the lagg.
I suspect something is either wonky with your install or with the particular world you generated. Nobody else out of the thousands that have downloaded this new version has reported similar problems, so it wouldn't make sense for me to consider this to be a problem with the mod.
Again, if I don't change code that is related to a particular problem, it is exceedingly unlikely that the mod is responsible.

I am having a similar problem. The lag is not bad enough that I can't really play, but it is annoying. It probably doesn't have anything to do with BTW, but I don't have any other mods in.

May the Force be with you. Unless you're a troll, in which case, may the farce be with you.

Ah, you better ignore it, it's not that bad, and it's probably due to my computer
Excuse me for being retarded :tongue.gif:
And thanks for keeping up the awesome mod at all times man
Note: This release is NOT compatible with the 2.X versions of Better Then BuildCraft. If you are using that mod, please upgrade to the 3.x branch of BTB. A new release of BTB will be coming out shortly after this release of BTW to handle this incompatibility issue.
-Added magical visual effect to the Soul Urn. Your lives are now complete.
-Added the ability for the output of one Lens to feed directly into the input of another.
-Added the internal FCIBlockClimbable interface for the upcoming mod API to provide add-on mods the ability to designate individual blocks as climbable by the player.
-Added internal functionality for getting and setting mod block facing based on a meta-data value to better interface with the BuildCraft Builder in Better Then BuildCraft.
-Added an internal hook to allow for the adding of multiple variations of the same item type to the creative-mode inventory to support Better Then BuildCraft.
-Fixed problem with Lens not lighting up the area around non-solid blocks when the beam first intersects with them.
-Fixed problem with the end point of a Lens beam being able to activate another Lens, even if the beam wasn't facing directly into the Lens input.
-Fixed problem with the Lens projecting onto a surface if there was an entity right next to that surface.
-Fixed the Hopper recipe to not work with stone Corners.
-Fixed problem with a Lens not registering that a beam feeding into its input was turned off if that beam was interrupted by a block.
Just a quick note that I just released a new version of Better Then BuildCraft as well, which resolves the compatibility problems with the last couple of releases of BTW.
This is the first time I've ever had this kind of problem with better than wolves, I downloaded the newest version 3.51 and deleted the minecraft bin folder to start over.
Followed these steps:
1.Downloaded a new minecraft jar
2.Removed my mods folder
3.Deleted meta inf
4.Installed mod loader
5.Installed better than wolves
6.Started minecraft
After login it blackscreens and does not crash just hangs on the black screen. Before installing the newest version on a clean jar I was running the previous version with no problems.
EDIT: Not sure how, but after removing my texture pack in a clean minecraft jar and restarting this process I did not have this issue.
When he says 'incompatible with everything', what he means is that he makes no effort to make it compatible with anything else (except Buildcraft). It modifies enough base classes that it does conflict with most other mods. It works with Too Many Items, Single Player Commands, and a few other noninvasive mods.
oh no!!!!! please fix this bug FC.

I had the same issue until I removed the texture packs from my folder. I later realized that I hadn't used McPatcher.

True survival server, and fun!
