"Papa's in the basement, mixing up the medicine..."
"Mama's in the bath-tub, with the transmission..."
WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!
xD(Unless they have the meanings I think they have, in which case, o_o)
I was just listening to your interview, well the part on MCForge, you make a good case for it. I'm likely going to switch to it soon, at first for the sprites support. Just to make one thing clear, with MCForge you declare your sprites the "traditional" way with setIconCoord(), but referring to the PNG you have defined in getTextureFile()? Sounds good. Isn't it a bit wasteful memory-wise to load an entire pict with the same size as terrain.png for mods that have very few items to add?
Thanks,
K.
Honestly, I'm not the best person to ask about the exact process at this point, as I've yet to do the conversion myself (I was just about to start in on that actually).
My advice would be to head on over to the Forge thread and ask them about it there. Eloraam in particular should be able to answer all of your questions.

Hey can anyone help i ran into a bug with the cauldron, Whenever i try to make bones or feathers minto glue it makes one glue then destroys the a random number of the leftover material.
I really love this mod but the only problem i see with it is that you need a wolf to really progress well in it even though the aim was that wolves were an over-simplistic slap on peice of crap and this was what mojang should have added. For the steel equipment that requires a wolf should be kept perhaps but i think that having it required for the saw is just a little stupid because the saw is used for alot of the things such as panels and seems to be a more basic block used as a stepping stone to a multitude of other things. For clarification on that matter, i was aiming for that you need a wolf for its dung to make tanned leather and that to make a belt. My suggestion is to haveit so you can make a belt out of scoured leather.
But other than that i really love this mod. Thanks!

Wolves WERE a piece of crap. Now they instead PRODUCE crap and are quite useful because of it. I routinely give purpose to underdeveloped vanilla features in this mod, and wolves are no exception.
And no, using Scoured Leather in the Saw would make no sense really, as there's no reason why scoured leather would be any more durable than raw-hide.

yeah i see where you are getting at but still it is a bit annoying having to wait for a stupid wolf
to show up to wait for you to really progress in this mod.
also, i have another question, can you actually cook with a cauldron ontop a fire of something that doesnt burn endlessly?(blocks such as wood and if so what block can be specifically used?)
PS: Flowerchild you are really an awesome person for responding to all these comments on your thread and making this great mod
This mod you've created is beyond amazing; the second I learned of it I was in awe. Keeping this short so I don't keep you busy, but I just had to make this post. The plethora of work you've put into this is well appreciated and I can't thank you enough.
Everything in this mod is implemented towards getting something that you can get better in vanilla minecraft.
Example: I grow HEMP to make ROPES, to make AXLES, to use them to power a MILLSTONE with a WINDMILL, to grind wheat to make FLOUR, which I then put in a CAULDRON, to make DONUTS. Instead of donuts, I could hunt zombie pig men, which is more fun, and I get cooked pork (one click for 5 hearts) and it's a lot faster.
Everything you make in this mod contributes to something like that^.
Instead of using a hopper in my mod grinder, I'll just collect the resources when I go down there. (I admit the hoppers good for spawning mobs in dark rooms, rather than a monster spawner, because monster spawners only spawn monster when you're within 16 blocks.)
Instead of using lot's of resources and redstone to make an underground farm with lamps, I'll just make it above ground.
Instead of using platforms and ropes (or just ropes individually) I'll just use ladders to get into my mine.
Etc, etc, etc.
I hope you get what I'm saying. I'm sure everyone on else loves the mod, I mean no offense, it's just that I don't think this mod has much use.

Yup, you're saying you're short-sighted and narrow minded with no sense of fun. I get that perfectly.
To cover a couple of your points:
-Donuts heal half a heart, but can be stacked up to 12 allowing you to heal 6 total units with a single inventory slot and also allowing you to consume precisely how much you need to fully heal rather than generating a lot of wasted extra hearts.
-Platforms transport slowly but can be used to transport items and entities upwards as part of more complex systems. Ropes alone allow you to easily descend from a height, which is not something that is possible with ladders.
-Enjoy standing around your mob trap instead of automating it.
This mod provides balanced incremental improvements to what can be done within the game. Obviously, you just want things to be made easy by leaps and bounds, and there's 101 other mods out there that do precisely that. I suggest you give them a try and leave this one to those that actually appreciate an overall gameplay experience.

Short sighted and narrow minded with no sense of fun…hmmm……this mod adds no thrill, just makes the useful things a little more convenient.
-Overall a stack of donuts comes very short in comparison to a cooked pork chop. Let's put aside the fact that you have to click twelve times with a stack of donuts to heal you one more heart than a cooked pork chop and focus on the resources. The easiest way to get donuts would be to use a hand crank to grind donuts in a millstone, then cook them in a cauldron, this requires a large amount of time and resources, as you have to grow wheat, make a hand crank and millstone, then make a cauldron and flint and steel, you could use any block to heat the cauldron, but netherrack would be the obvious choice, or even better, the resource consuming habachi that you have to wire.
Getting cooked pork chops is a lot less resource and time consuming, you could hunt pigs which is very simple, you get 0-2 raw pork chops per kill, and requires no resources, unless you use a sword. A better way would be to hunt zombie pig men: Building a nether portal takes a bucket and flint and steel at the very least (assuming you already have a mine with lava in it, or a pool of lava on the surface), multiple buckets would reduce the time needed. If you already have a diamond pickaxe you can mine obsidian, then build it and go hunt your pig men. Now the nether is full of zombie pig men, which drop 0-2 cooked pork chops, they're easy to kill, so you could get a full inventory of cooked pork chops within a minute or two.
Also, I'd rather click once for 5 hearts than click 12 times for 6 hearts.
-Again resource consuming. I could find no suitable scenario which platforms and ropes would come in handy, except the use of a gate. I also don't find in sensible to transport items throughout the use of this, I would would just store the items in my inventory. You could use it for some kind of redstone circuit, or something, but nothing comes to mind. I would admit that ropes would be useful in a situation where you would want to quickly get down from overhang.
-I did say that hoppers would be useful in a trap where your mobs spawn in a dark room, they just have little use in a monster spawner trap scenario.
You also say that I just want things made easy by leaps and bounds, I just want to do what I normally do in minecraft, but have something useful for support, I would not say that minecraft without this mod makes things easy by leaps and bounds. It also conflicts with the Aether mod.

Glad to hear you're giving it a try man!
What? You don't like Bob Dylan?
Never heard of him.
I don't watch much TV except at night, so I don't know many famous people.
For the love of god and all that is holy....
Considering this mod doesn't touch chunk-generation, I suspect you have a problem with another mod.
But other than that i really love this mod. Thanks!

Assuming nobody saw my post.
I have both installed(+ more) working fine, so i think you have installed it wrong
more information is needed to help, like mods installed, modloader.txt in spoiler's, ect..
