Don't know whether this is known, but there is an issue with beacons and Fancy Fog. The beacon beam is fine in Fast fog, yet in Fancy fog something's wrong. The fog on the beam starts on the origin, so it means you see no fog on the beam itself near the origin of the beam, yet the fog goes along with the height of the beam. Someone donated for me but then said that her cape got refunded but had no idea what happened to mine.. can you plz help me? Like i said in one of my post i had the cape but then it just dissapeared...
1.6.4 OptiFine refuses to do anything with my forge. I drop the jar file into my mods folder and nothing happens. I even take an actual version .jar and try that and I still get nothing. Any ideas? I'm using the latest version of 1.6.4 forge.
What's the exact difference of ultra, default and light?
I guess ultra offers more extras and light less but what would be the best for FPS in the end?
- for best FPS take Ultra
- for best mod compatibility take Standard
- as an experiment you can also try Light edition, it might work better for some specific combinations of CPU/GPU
I have an idea for the optifine developers. Could you possibly add a saved capes section for your account? I'm a proud donor to optifine. and I have a few skins I like to switch back and forth from. And I find it a bit tidious trying to remember exactly how the cape for that skin exactly. Please do your best to bring this feature into optifine capes section it would be a great addition and i'm sure everyone will love it. Love the mod. <3
I don't see anything about a fix to the texture pack swapping crash I've been having with ultra/standard, so I guess I'm keeping to C7 Light.
It's not a huge deal, but I do really miss random mobs.
I still crash once in a while when swapping texture packs in-game, just out out of game, which I think might just be minecraft being overwhelmed re-loading all those chunks at once.
Great mod, helped me a TON! However i'm having a problem with the Optifine cape, a few days ago i bought one and soon after realised that instead of putting my username (like i did) i should have put my email as my account is migrated to Mojang and now i cannot transfer the account from my username to my actual account (i keep getting a bad login error). Does anyone know what i should do? I've messaged support but they haven't gotten back to me yet, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

How do I turn Random Mobs on? And does it have to have a texture pack with it? I have all the textures (of the wolves) I want to use, I put them in the wolf folder, renamed them to wolf_tame2.png, wolf_tame3.png, and so on, and played. None worked, except the one I put for wolf_tame.png! I tamed many wolves, put they all had the same texture. I was wondering if I did this wrong, or if I have to turn on Random Mobs. Please help! I also have a texture pack that someone used with Random Mobs, so I believe it works. Please, reply. If you do, thanks so much!

I thought that the only difference between Ultra and Standard was that Ultra defaulted to multithreaded chunk loading (buggy with some drivers), and Standard only gave you smooth.
What, in general, are the differences? And yes, the rendering compatibility issues with Ultra led to to stop using OF in 1.6 (I can't even get vanilla rails to render proper orientation when placed with OF Ultra.)
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
