Using OptifineHD B7 on a rig with GeForce GTX670 , 16 GB DDR3 Crucial and SSD HDD.On minecraft 1.7.2 I barely go over 60 fps ( average 30-40,even worse) . On 1.6.4 with same setting average was 350-400 fps.The only mod installed is Rei's Map.I tried the .bat file to alocate more ram to .jar (2 - 4 - 8 GB) same result.I even downgraded the Nvidia Drivers same results.I tried to play under Ubuntu, the game crashes with no message when activating OF.Lowering all the setting in game has not effect at all.Even on OFF.Wainting for updates (Mojong has done a verry ****ty work on 1.7 release, crossing fingers for 1.8 and recent hardware compatibility). Thanks for your work.
The bat files for allocating ram don't work for the new launcher you need to edit your profile and change the JVM Arguments... example -Xmx3G

Do you have your FPS selector set to VSync? That locks your FPS to 60(Hz), because your screen can't update any faster. Try setting your FPS to "Unlimited".
Wow! this is amazing. I play on a laptop that was struggling to hit 20 fps, with Optifine on a normal default world I am hitting 85+.Wow! this is amazing. Congrats on getting this finished (despite all the troubles) before the release of 1.8 ! Very well done mate, brilliant to be fully back up to date.
Hope that 1.8 doesn't give you too much trouble, but hey at least it should be easier than this last one
but pleaseeeeee, fix the fullscreen resolution bug thing.
very hard to explain but if i have to: lets say i change it to 1248x720 right?? it takes the gamescreen and puts it in the bottom left corner and the area around it is blue. (Im trying to figure out how to post pictures here but please try it on your PC and see if u can fix it?)
Sp614x, I know it's not your problem... but is impossible to disable "Threaded Optimization" / "OpenGL Threading" when you have intel graphics card... can you help me? Thanks
For some reason, I remember that Optifine always came in a zip file. Now, it is a jar file. I don't know if this is some sort of mistake or if it makes any difference but I'd like to know if this was intentional.

You can rename it to ZIP, only the name is different.

You can use Photobucket and then copy the link of the photo, then just paste it in your post.
Thanks for the fps

By the way you should update your copyright by changing the 2013 to 2014.(Although I have no idea if this would do anything at all.)
"Effective only for local worlds and single-core CPU"
