Has anyone run into an issue where in their game save, you are suddenly able to place blocks in areas occupied by the player?
Since I've started playing Minecraft (started on version 1.5.1) the game has not allowed this but recently in a game save world I've been playing a lot of hours in, it suddenly started allowing this. It doesn't occur in any of my other saved worlds, only this one affected game save. If I restore an older version of this save, it works without this issue up until I save the game and load it again, then the issue reappears. In any event, this makes pillaring (among other things) a dangerous thing to do. This does not occur in vanilla Minecraft--I can load the affected game save in vanilla Minecraft and not experience the issue. It only occurs when using Optifine with Minecraft. I have no other mods and only use the Magic Launcher to enable Optifine.

Hey! Love this mod. It's very useful <3!
Some friends and I are having a bug with random mobs, though.
Random Mobs is turned on by default and we have compatible texture packs. However, when we log in, even though random mobs shows as enabled, none of the mobs are random. We have to turn random mobs off and on again to get it to work properly.
We've narrowed the problem down to being with Optifine seeing as it's the only common mod my friend and I have that controls random mobs.
We both got rid of MCPatcher (why we were using that with optifine to begin with, i have no idea) and have fresh minecraft installs.
(edit because i forgot) I use Forge, friend uses MagicLauncher
Anyone know how to fix that? It's not a massive bug but it is irritating...

Hello sp614x,
I have some suggestions for optifine:
- Add support for the whole color.properties. At the moment, you can't change text colors and you can't change the clouds to fast (not sure why this is in the color.properties).
- Just a small thing, add support for the redcow_overlay.png in the mob folder. I hate red mushrooms on brown mooshrooms
- Again just a small thing: Add support for the xporbcolor.png in the misc folder. I would love to have XP orbs flashing in many different colors
- Add complete support better glass! The following pack is a good example how this can be used: http://www.minecraft...re-upgrade-v15/
It would be SO AWESOME if this stuff was added to optifine. I guess I would donate again

The rest of the custom colors and Better Glass are on the TODO list
Fast clouds are supported, with Clouds: Default the value from color.properties is used.

I'd really love the two small things. They are this kind of thing, small, but makes a huge difference. Also I just noticed that I had my clouds put on fancy and not default, sorry for that.
Be that as it may, this issue only manifests itself when OptiFine is enabled. I use no other mods. All that is in play is Minecraft 1.5.2 and OptiFine 1.5.2 HD U D2 (using the Magic Launcher 1.1.4).
Playing the affected save without OptiFine running (either using the standard launcher or the Magic Launcher) this does not occur. My other world saves are not yet affected, only this one world save currently. Restoring earlier versions of the affected save does not resolve the issue. Given this, what other conclusion can be reached other than OptiFine is somehow involved here?
This is reproducible across multiple machines and I can provide a world save should you like to see this in action. OptiFine may indeed not change game mechanics but unintended consequences of software interactions happens all the time and that is a textbook definition of a bug.
Data corruption could also play a role here but I tried the recovery procedures outlined in the wiki page titled "Recover corrupted saved world data" and this did nothing to resolve the issue so I'm forced to return to the conclusion that OptiFine is somehow involved. I certainly don't want to be chasing down the wrong thing as the cause of this issue but given the above how can OptiFine possibly be ruled out?
This being said, in all other respects OptiFine has performed admirably. If OptiFine is indeed not at fault here I wish it was more easily evident. Perhaps when OptiFine is in use--while not the cause--it exposes a flaw in Minecraft itself which is not exposed when OptiFine is not in use. But if this was the case, how would I go about determining this?
The advanced model loader loads in the new model types and the WaveFromObject class does the handling and rendering. They are in the net.minecraftforge.client.model and net.minecraftforge.client.model.obj packages
Can you change the default key for zoom to Right Ctrl because it conflicts with Left Ctrl for Smart Moving please? I can't click on the button because the 'Done' button blocks the zoom control button.
Thanks.
Use Minecraft Forge, it adds the ability to scroll on the controls menu. Default MC needs it but that will probably never happen.
I still only get 30 fps but I have an i7 3.40ghz processor and 24GB of ram I've allocated 4GB to the game and I cant get above 30 fps. How is this possible? Is is a choppy 30 fps too.

Make sure that VSync is not enabled, doing so will limit your framerate to your screen's refresh rate.
If you have a dedicated graphics card, make sure javaw.exe runs on it.
Make sure Extreme Render distance isn't enabled.

Thanks but I already had render distance at Far and It is set to max fps.
Do not be surprised - my English is Google translate. I never play Minecraft without these mods:
ExtraBiomesXl, Industrial Craft, Build Craft, LCTrees++, Metallurgy, Railcraft, Smart Moving, Forestry, Jammy Furniture Mod, Kaevator Super Slopes, Xtra Blocks, ReiMinimap, CraftGuide.

OptiFine does not change any game mechanics.
Which new classes?
