I'm getting the same thing as the guy above as soon as Minecraft Forge is installed.

Also getting this. Is this something to be concerned with? It isn't really affecting the game.

EDIT: Yes, it will, and did. Got build 90 and didn't see the spamming console.
Personally, I'd like to see an updated side-by-side shot with the OptiFine side updated for Smooth Lighting being set to maximum. I think it would help sp614x better.

optifine really does have nicer lighting, but still... its more obvious that custom colors isnt working with it.
What is new:
- Fixed Forge support - climbalble blocks, FOV, callbacks, handheld items. Tested with Forge 3.0.1.84.
- Fixed white outlines on transparent blocks (tall grass, flowers) - linear MipMaps look better now
- Added support for HD capes (multiplayer HD skins coming soon)
If no major bugs are found, the preview will be upgraded to release tomorrow.

Im getting a black screen not freezing the game and getting a not responding cue but its just sitting there almost like its trying really really hard to load up
i have modloader audio mod and Reis Mini Map already on
only thing i can think of is it needs a fresh minecraft
That reminds me, are you getting any errors posted in your Windows Event Logs when this happens?
If so, please post the Event ID and Event Source information. You may then also want to go to EventID.net to see if you can find any information on them.
EDIT: Also, here's a link to a post by ShaRose in his ID Resolver thread with download links for the latest version. Earlier on in that thread he states why he didn't want to post it on the OP yet.
The bug is already fixed, available in next version.
It is connected to RandomMobs and is decreasing the performance minimally.

(Again, a workaround that's worked for me is to exit to the title screen after loading the world. That seems to stop the exception spam until I cross dimensions, at which point I have to do it again.)

You sir are the most amazing person in the minecraft universe and you have save my Minecaft butt. I normally get on normal mimecraft on short render distance fast graphics openGL on particles off and everything else on lower about 30 FPS and with optifine on normal render
OpenGL on fast smooth lighting on and I get 40 FPS its still not amazing but on short and thoughs things off i had only 30 so thank you so much and when i do get my new computer even if i get say 100 FPs i wil still get Optifine and still plus it up and like it and everything!!! thanks

I dont know what my computer has in it, but it is a Lenovo T510 with out of the box parts
I'm having this issue as well. I get around 20 fps due to my crappy computer (while on normal-short). When I install Optifine I get 10 fps at most. I love Optifine, and to have not work for me anymore makes me really sad.

Looking at the side-by-side, I have a guess for what might be going on. BUT, only sp614x can confirm or deny what is truly happening.
To me, it looks like the custom-color lighting is there (the farther you get away from the light). So, it seems that the smooth lighting is being applied after the color for it and the same smooth transition is being applied to the color saturation itself. So, the closer to the torch you get, the "whiter" the light is. The farther away from the torch, the "greener" you get.
So, maybe custom colors need to be applied after smooth lighting if possible. Or, maybe something like adjusting the scale for the level of color saturation being applied. Again, I don't know. I would love to find out from sp614x how correct I am.
EDIT: Nevermind. Forgot "Custom Colors" do NOT yet also implement "Custom LIGHT Colors."

and.. using Optifine with Sonic Shader (Ultra Config) it's unbelieveable i love it!
Could you add the option to not use custom water and always use default water for texture packs. I use Faithful and i don't ilke the default water in it. i know that MCPatcher does this. Could you add this option?

This mod is fantastic,its like MY FIRST TO DO THING,after downloading minecraft is to download and install optifine,before i had this mod installed my minecraft would run about 120fps,after i installed this minecraft run WITH ABOUT 250fps in open world and 380fps in caves,INSaNE.Like a BO$$
