Could I request you please calm down? There isn't a need to get worked up, neither over the mod nor the replies.
I know you've said you've done these steps, but I will always run through the ENTIRE list, because it's very easy to think you've done something right when you've missed something obvious. I know this from personal experience, as I've made stupid mistakes, despite writing entire full-length guides. Hell, even Kinniken messes it up, so you do have to be very thorough.
First of all, start off with a fresh minecraft.jar, mods folder and remove any previous millenaire folder, and then redownload modloader and the latest version of Millénaire. There have been no complaints regarding 1.1.4, so it would appear that this is packaged perfectly. It is VERY possible that before you got a slightly bugged download, which is not your fault in the slightest.
Install modloader (I'm not going to patronise you with that), and then place the "millenaire" folder in the ".minecraft" folder and the "millenaire 1.1.4.zip" in the "mods" folder. Make sure there definitely isn't a previous "millenaire" folder, and that you've got the new one in there. I've had errors by the dozen for forgetting that. It's extremely easy to do, and extremely irritating when done.
Once you've done this, load up Minecraft and check if any villages are loading. If they aren't, check the new "millenaire" file in the "millenaire" folder: this is the log file, and should tell you what's wrong. If there is something there beyond the mod starting up, post it here in [spoiler] and [code] tags and I'll work out what exactly is wrong, if you can't do it yourself. You should be able to, the log file is generally quite clear.
If it works, install your other mods one by one. Again, I'd suggest redownloading them first to be thorough; if anything, you may have missed out on a couple of small bugfixes since anyway, so it will probably be worth your time. Check after each mod, or, if you don't have the time/patience or simply aren't that fussed, install them all, and check if it still works.
Looking back at your original post, it looks like you didn't update your "millenaire" folder in between 0.9 and 1.0. The location of the village files moved in that update, and, seeing as the problem was purely with spawning villages, that's the most likely problem. I personally advise replacing your "millenaire" folder with every single update, as Kinniken changes things in both the .zip file and the folder on a regular basis.
And I'm terribly sorry that I hadn't replied to this before, but I am actually on holiday right now, and so I haven't been on the computer when you've been on here. On principle, I tend to avoid replying to things from several pages beforehand, as, generally, people don't see the response.
I hope I've solved your issue with this, and, again, I'd like to request you keep the swearing to a minimum. It achieves nothing practical, and internet rage is never a good thing.
And goddamnit, guys, can't I write an informative, helpful post without people flaming like hell in the mean time? :sleep.gif:
1.1.5 - 14/08/11
- The area around buildings is no longer plain dirt or grass but instead keeps the original soil, simply flattening it
- The ground around buildings built on slopes now "merges" with the slope instead of being purely flat, avoiding "cliffs"

I agree with joeyjam ,as always, for such small sentences stand for alot of effort and improvement.
If the unintended consequences don't come that is :dry.gif: but as for now celebration :smile.gif:

It's not true that my ideas can cause injury, people just implement them wrong.
I love the new "area around buildings" generation. I took a few pictures, everything looks smooth and pretty:
Yeah, much better than before. I just wish I could make it a little less regular. I tried some simple randomness but it wasn't looking good. Still, a big progress, I'm just wondering why I didn't do that before :wink.gif:

Despite being comparatively feature-free when you look at other updates, I have to say this is probably one of my favourites :tongue.gif: I've spent way too much time smoothing slopes around buildings before now :tongue.gif:
Same here. Adding a new NPC by comparison probably has less impact on how most people experience Millénaire than something basic like this.
Anyone got any comment on lag-reduction? Surely this will make pathing an easier job, thereby making it less CPU intensive?
I'm hoping for the same, but of course it's so situation-specific it's hard to measure. All that can be said is that villages with obstacles between buildings should be significantly rarer now.

I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news, but one of the villagers built an inn, clearing out a large area of ground underneath before doing so... That large hole was not there prior to construction...
Is this perhaps a bug for the most recent update, or has this been a common problem?
I'm playing Millenaire v 1.1.3 and even after more than 40 ingame Days there isn't a single good that has been traded between the Gros bourg and the surrounding villages. Is this normal?
Hmmm... I'm wondering if this is not an unforeseen consequence of the trade update I did recently. Now merchants will only jump when they have stuff to deliver to an other village, but not if they have stuff to pick up in the other village instead. I need to sort that out I think.
Otherwise, glad to hear you enjoy it, and yes, more cultures are certainly something I want to see!

I'm counting on you guys for finding out the unintended consequences, if any :wink.gif:

I'm suspecting that when altering the code for placement in such a great way, there are going to be half finished wierd houses and isues, but this might go a long way to helpinjg path finding too.
Ohh, and if there are consequences I guarantee you'll hear of them :smile.gif:

I started a new world to test out the updated version and when a village was generated one of the buildings was half underwater, not sure if it was todo with the new way the ground is done or if it was just a coincidence. Just thought i would report what i had found after a very quick play :smile.gif:

I found (and fixed before releasing) one: the groves had no "floor layer" specified since before 1.1.5 it would all get filled up with grass anyway. As a result groves in deserts were built on sand. There might be others though...

Is this normal? Using v1.1.3 I have 8 people harvesting Turmeric from this one location (the ones in the screenshot plus others that walked away):
Hmm, I'll check the priority given to that action. Might be too high.

Meh, too much work :V
Oh yes, thank you so much!!!!
