Question: For new content have you considered adding any of the Personality Cores, like Space Core, Rick, or The Fact Core? and then core grabbers which when a core is it, sends out a redstone signal but only when a cores in it.

when i open my crafting table and i put the items up to make any item like the portal gun or the sentry,
when i put the last item up i see the gun for like half a second then it disappears...
like, the game knows the guns there but it only pops up for like 1/2 a second

NOTICE: NOTE: Remove your portals and portal spawners if you're updating from 1.2.4v1 to 1.2.5v1! There's been a change that would cause a white texture to render above the portal block if you don't!

Bacon Gun
Fire Portals with the left and right mouse buttons.
Zoom in and out with the middle mouse button.
Grab blocks or entities with the "G" button.
Reset portals with the "R" button.
For the bacon gun, the portal's colour is randomly generated. However, it can be defined in the properties file.
Portal Spawners
When placed, a GUI will pop up asking you to set the colour, and if the portal stays open if redstone power is cut.
When powered with redstone, it will spawn a portal based on the colour you set.
Portal Gun Pedestals
Accepts any type of portal gun.
Automatically fire portals when it receives redstone current.
Portal Gun can be retrieved by right clicking or walking into them
Single Coloured Default Portal Gun
Fires only one type of portal.
Will automatically merge with the single coloured portal gun of the other colour to form a dual portal gun.
Can also be crafted together.
Long Fall Boots
Negates all your falling damage when worn!
Mod Part 1:
Weighted Storage Cube
Placing it in the world and right clicking it with a rose will transform it into a companion cube!
Whilst in your inventory, the companion cube will help heal you every 5 seconds!
Incinerating the cube (How could you!?) will cause it to leave behind a recorded message.
Smelting the disc will cause the plastic to deteriorate, changing the entire track!
Crafting two of the first discs together will also change the track.
Radio
Plays the radio loop record repeatedly.
Can be turned off with right click (configurable)
Weighted Storage Cube Vent
Weighted Companion Cube Vent
Placed on ceilings.
Requires redstone power.
Cubes deployed cannot be broken.
Redeploys new cube if redstone is still supplied and cube gets destroyed.

Right clicking the cube with cyan dye will make it bouncy! Get rid of the bounciness by putting it in water. (Initially a request by TheFrogMC for the portal 2 gels mod, but I found it too fun to make it exclusive to that mod)
Mod Part 2:
Material Emancipation Grid
These are placed from wall to wall, and has a maximum range of 15 blocks.
Pouring fluid through it will disable it.
These grids have several modes, which are configurable in the properties file.
These grids are also configurable to have to be redstone powered.

Sentry Turrets
(Model made in Techne)
Shoots anything, configurable in properties file.
Has range of 20 blocks, also configurable.
Fires 20 bullets a second.
Will die if pushed over.
Defective Turrets
When sentry turrets get smelted, their sleek body polish melts off and their circuits gets messed up!
Mod Part 4:
Aerial Faith Plates
Can be placed on floors, walls and ceilings.
Wall plates can be oriented to look upwards or downwards.
Right click to adjust the power.
Can be set to be redstone powered to work.
Electronic Intelligence Indicator
Intelligently indicates if it is indirectly being powered by redstone
Warning: Will not increase intelligence if ingested.
Mod Part 5:
High Energy Pellet Launcher
Launches a High Energy Pellet when powered by redstone.
High Energy Pellets disintegrates living things on contact (Configurable to knockback)
High Energy Pellets spontaneously combusts if it bounces too many times, travels too far or lives for too long.
High Energy Pellet Catcher
Catches a High Energy Pellet to provide redstone power.
Can be sneak right-clicked to release caught High Energy Pellet.
Mod Part 6:
Discouragement Beam Emitter
Forms a high powered laser when powered with redstone!
Lasers travel 40 blocks maximum from the last object portal/cube it goes through, to a maximum of 20 objects (This is so to prevent any overloading of the game)
Can be configured to cause damage to living creatures.
Due to my limitation in Mathematics, lasers will only go directly vertical, even when going through a wall portal at an angle into a ceiling/floor portal. (Sorry!)
KNOWN ISSUE: Lasers do not render if you have OPTIFINE! I've tried my best to find a solution for this and I am unsuccessful, so please go bug sp614x about it.
Discouragement Beam Catcher
Receives laser as its input to produce redstone power.
Discouragement Beam Sensor
Detects the presence of a laser going through it to produce redstone power.
Discouragement Redirection Cube
Refracts a Thermal Discouragement Beam to the direction it faces.
Grabbed with the G (default) button.
Becomes bouncy if right clicked with cyan dye!
Discouragement Redirection Cube Vent
Check Weighted Cube Vents for info.
Checkpoint Blocks
Will temporarily save player status, portals, and portal entities at the moment when the player walks pass it, set in the GUI.
Restores the above when the player dies and respawns (Note, this will move you away from your bed [if present] after you respawn).
Also can power redstone 2 blocks below it like pressure plates.
1. Go to your minecraft folder. (If you don't know how to, look it up)
2. Extract the "portalgun" folder in the zip archive into the /mods/ folder.
3. If you want to change a setting (eg: a block id), go to /mods/portalgun/ and open mod_PortalGun.properties
with your favourite text editor.

- The mod requires ModLoader and Forge 3.0.1.83 or later.

- If your screen turns black or freezes when there's a portal around, disable see through portals
as that is causing the issue.
- See through portals are NOT PERFECT. This means there may be conflicts with other GUIs and such.
If the issues caused by it are unbearable, turn it off or set to static image.
- Advanced OpenGL being enabled causes flickering issues with see through portals.
- The sky will flicker while you're in your inventory and looking at a see through portal.

A: Change the block ID that the mod uses in the properties file to an unused block ID and all would be fine.
Q: Where is the properties file? mod_PortalGun.cfg in the /config/ folder is blank!
A: As the mod doesn't use MLProp (ModLoader's config system), it has its own method of loading properties, and can be found in /mods/portalgun/. The file name is mod_PortalGun.properties.
Q: Can I make a portal map that uses this mod?
A: Sure, feel free to make your maps as long as you credit my mod and link them back here and you do not include the mod download in the map. Feel free to use the world properties file to edit any properties you want to change. Also, if you want to make the map public, DO NOT post it in this topic. Post them here.
Q: What is mod_PortalGun_world.properties in the world save folder for?
A: As some people have made their own Portal puzzle maps, some of them did not like the default settings that comes with the mod, or perhaps settings which others may have set. This file will let the map maker adjust the mod's settings to their liking to fit the map. For the file to take effect, worldOverride in the mod_PortalGun_world.properties file has to be set to 1.
Q: Can you make blocks which portals can't be placed on?
A: It's in the properties file from v5 onwards.
Q: I don't seem to have sound! What's the problem?
A: You probably installed it incorrectly, or installed the zip. Try watch the installation videos to see where you went wrong.
Q: When can you add SMP support?
A: At the moment SMP is planned, but as I start to bring everything back first, it'll be SSP for now, in order to iron out the bugs that may pop up from the recode. Trust me, fixing two different sources, Client and Server, is not fun, and increases chance of serverside/clientside bugs.
Q: Can I beta test your mod?
A: No. Don't PM me asking either, answer will still be no.
Q: Rei's Minimap is flickering when I look at a see through portal! Is there a fix?
A: For some, setting the "seeThroughPortals" property to 2 would fix it, however it is not a 100% fix. Set the property to 0 or 3 if you'd prefer that.
Q: My portals are see through but they are buggy/square like this!
A: Several cards may not support the processes done by see through portals very well. There is no fix I can provide. The best advice I can give is to update your graphics card drivers and hope for the best. HOWEVER, I am not liable for any damage you do to your computer during this process.
Q: I can't see through portals no matter what setting I put!
A: There are certain video cards which do not support the function which is being used to allow see through portals. These cards are normally Intel cards and they are not compatible with see through portals. The best advice I can give is to update your graphics card drivers and hope for the best. HOWEVER, I am not liable for any damage you do to your computer during this process.

When I pickup a Weighted Aperture Science Cube it doesn't move as fluent as it does in Portal (2). I will pick it up with my Aperture Science Portal Gun and it sits there while I move, after I move a few blocks away, it teleports where I am and pushes me. Any solution?

Just an idea.
Endermen, they watch you watch them.....
when i open my crafting table and i put the items up to make any item like the portal gun or the sentry,
when i put the last item up i see the gun for like half a second then it disappears...
like, the game knows the guns there but it only pops up for like 1/2 a second
i thought the problem with battle gear was solved a while ago? well, looks like its back
any will do as long as you still have modloader, for now. just be warned there are some bugs with the newer builds
