Installing outdated mods is always difficult. :sad.gif:
He never made it modloader compatible, so that might be your problem. (Meaning you just chuck all the class files in the minecraft.jar and delete the META-INF folder to install.)
Because of that, it's also incompatible with almostevery other mod. That might be your problem too. (So install it on a clean, un-modded minecraft.jar.)
Might also be that it was for Beta 1.6.6 instead of 1.6.2.
If its none of those, I have no idea what it could be.

I think this is a REALLY GOOD mod.
and I also have a couple of ideas.
1.
in minecraft you go to other dimensions with portals, nether portal, aether portal and the cheesy portal (the moon mod)
why not make a portal to the jurassic out of dinosaur fossil blocks
2.
it would be really cool if you add dinosaur armor
then you could ride arround on youre ARMORED TRICERATOPS TANK
3.
special attacks.
the different dinosaurs have different kinds of attacks
brachiosaur
on large enemys he hits with its tail
and on smaller enemys he would just stamp on them and they would be like "SPLASH".
triceratops
a sort of charge attack that will knockdown the opponent.
raptor
they will jump with their first hit because they hit you (or other dinos) with that big claw on their feet.
