1.6.8 IS 1.6, its just more modified. So when i say 1.6 i mean 1.6.(insert number here) =P

So I've got a question that doesn't stem from failing to comprehend that AC isn't compatible with 1.6 yet:
Is there any way I can make an effective and reliable 1-clock / pulser with the extra tools available in AC? I've been trying just about everything I can think of, and while I've found a few ways to get one started, I can't seem to build one that will stay on, reliably, through a save->quit->load, which is important because I need it to be something that's running in the background of the level, not something initiated by the player. In LittleBigPlanet 2, you could make a really good pulser by just wiring a NOT gate into itself, but since redstone torches burn out if you pulse them too quickly, that doesn't work. You can do something similar by wiring two redstone repeaters in a loop and quickly powering one of them on to get it started, but it turns off when I save and come back. I tried to wire a Redstone Trigger [A] -> Trigger Inverter [B] -> Redstone Power [C] -> Redstone Trigger [A], but the game crashed the instant it tried to start. I've tried using the pulser schematic from the Minecraft wiki, but while it looks like it's pulsing at 1-clock speed, it only actually outputs once every few seconds when I hook it to a dispenser (I want to make an incredibly rapid-fire dispenser). I've also tried using Timer blocks to no avail mechanically and practically, since I can't seem to set them to anything less than 0.4 seconds, and even if I could, I can't seem to find a good way to do an instant reset. Please tell me there's something I'm missing, because Redstone circuitry is kinda the theme of my level...
Easier question: How do I set a texture for the player? I could only figure out how to set them for NPCs.

Red is redstone wire and red X is redstone torch
all torches are placed on the sides of the brown blocks and D is dispenser
If the lever is on the dispenser rapidfires
cryect needs to stabilize AdventureCraft, because it keeps crashing!
Well, maybe if you provided some errors and some more details as to what you're doing at the time of the crashes, maybe we could replicate it and maybe Cryect could fix it. As it is, AC runs fine for me, except for the issue with guns and minecarts/boats/paintings.
Cryect, something helpful for currency would be bronze, silver, gold, and platinum coins, purely for currency and not obtainable through crafting or smelting something. They should just be used for an in-game currency which could be done with shop blocks. Maybe make monsters drop some, you dont have to, but it would make in-game currency a lot easier.

You could always retexture coal/iron/gold/diamonds and change the Lang file. I don't see what you'd need Iron/Gold ore for, unless you have it in for some reason.

Yes, but you missed the point of his post. Of course he can retexture whatever and use it as currency, anyone can do that. But the problem is that hostile mobs don't drop any minerals! Of course you could make the mob drops be retextured as money but that would be confusing, and there are so many kinds of mob drops that it would be hard to juggle and make a currency exchange system (because whatever a zombie drops is gonna be different from what a spider drops) It would be a better idea to create a common currency and possibly control how much each mob drops or something.
Wow I re-installed this mod because I couldn't play AC & it still won't work. I click on start in the window that opens & nothing happens, if I try to open up the same launcher again, it won't open. This is just plain annoying & before anyone asks I used MCNostalgia to downgrade to 1.5_1. I have the version r700 since I re-installed it today.

That's the same pulser they have on the Minecraft wiki, which I already said isn't working out. When I put the lever next to it and turn it on it will rapidfire, but when the lever is off, it still fires every few seconds, making it impossible to turn off the dispenser completely. Moreover, I don't just want to make the rapidfire dispenser, I want to build on it and make some much more advanced circuitry that requires the same kind of input. I was hoping there was something using AC's added features that'd work better. If Cryect were to add a Pulser block and an AND Trigger block I'd be set. In the meantime I thought of something: I could use a Block Storage block to save a segment without a redstone wire on it so that the signal from the pulser can't reach it, then toggle that with another block that replaces the wire. It's not really ideal but I guess it might work for some stuff.

Oh hey, I actually needed one of those. Thanks.
Does it say 1.5_01 in the title?
Use MCNostalgia, linked in my signature, to downgrade.
you only get the black screen if you don't delete the Meta-inf folder

EDIT: Cryect should fix that bug with the game lagging very terribly and then crashing whenever the fog level is reset to Far.
EDIT 2: Still it keeps crashing WITHOUT the fog level reset
OMFG Wait until notch stabilizes the client OR downgrade to 1.5_01

My texture pack.
