I'm running Windows, If there any way to disable specific shaders? I've tested out various shaders on other games and noticed that a few shaders are a bit more taxing on my computer than others. any advise is welcomed
Please follow this Steps to successfully install GLSL:
1. take a fresh copy of the minecraft.jar.
2. install OPTIFINE the newest version. Try it first with the Standardversion.
3. DONT FORGET to delete the METAINF directory in the jar.
DO NOT use the MC Patcher from this point on. it will ruin the jar.
4. depack GLSL on the desktop and start the installer.
Now you should be able to see the result. This Mod is compatible with Optifine but not so good together mit MC Patcher.
I use this since version 1.4 Beta of minecraft (as far as i know) and i didn't have problems with Optifine but some of the problems appeared with MC Patcher like gone textures if you use Bumpmapping but the texturepack doesn't support it.
Did exactly this, three times...
When I run minecraft, the only difference I see is the waving grass and a DoF effect. Nothing else.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, if I got Yoshi, don't mess with me. I warned you.

I believe that you can edit the "final.fsh" and comment out (//) the lines that say "#define:motionblur" and stuff. Then try and repatch it. I'm not sure if this will work though
Everything works correctly, I played with this a lot, but I have one problem...
WHY DID MOJANG MAKE THIS GAME FOR JAVA?!
Battlefield 3: about 45 fps (way better graphics than minecraft ;p )
Minecraft w/ Sonic's Shadows: 10-20 fps (fullscreen; in the default, small window: 25-35 fps)
I'm pretty sure it's not java, it's the fact that minecraft has to keep tabs on every single block in your world. Almost every block can be dug through, moved, and collected. This takes more computing power than just having static maps like bf3.
daxnitro, your mod is really great (I wanted to tell you this, even if probably everyone does it) and your mod becomes really stunning together with the Unbelievable Shaders Mod.
But there is one central request:
I am sure you know the Magic Launcher. I can not understand why you don't support it - more: you nearly boycott the mod and with it you boycott modding in general. And that makes no sence to me.
I know what you said in general about this topic:
But the Magic Launcher has so many advantages:
- extremely easy mod installation
- compatible to nearly every mod
- great conflict detection
- AND absolutely easy replacement of old mod versions through never versions what is not recommended for the normal modding way: In the most cases you have to mod minecraft again and again just because there is ONE updated mod (I don't know how many hours I already saved through that feature)
It is the other way round: BECAUSE of that patcher it does NOT WORK with a lot of other cool mods. (I just want you to make it compatible to the Magic Launcher)
You should not reduce constructive criticism to whining.
Of course it is your mod, you created that mod and improved minecraft through your work. You can hold to your first statement, not or never do anything besides the patcher. But through that you harm all the ones, who probably like modding the same way as you do.
I don't think anyone could have said it better! I totally agree with you in all the ways.
It'd be great to have this mod on Magic Laucher so A LOT OF PEOPLE, including me, could enjoy this with hundreds of other great mods out there... while at the same time Dax has 0% of obligation to do so... But it's also true Dax should kinda consider our plead, since it'd make the mod a lot more usable... even though I partially understand this position of "hatting" this baby posts around most mods... but no one should just close their eyes and ignore, even though rare, decent posts... ones that are trying to improve things...
Anyhow... GREAT MOD! I'd be fantastic to have it available in Magic Launcher... So please Dax, do reconsider your position in this matter, and, if possible, do give Magic Launcher a support for you great mod! =D
THNX!

I read the first 4 pages of posts and gathered that AMD graphics cards don't work with this mod. Have they been fixed because I am getting the black/blue screen and have an ATI x1650 (I know, it sucks) and am on windows xp. My FPS rate is 17 so I still should be able to see things. I also have optifine.
FOR THE AUTHOR OF THIS MOD EVERYTHING WORKS FINE!
