I think Vechs, a random minecraft & D4rkd3str0yer and everyone else have expressed enough that these tools are amazing, but I cannot stress how much time I saved by using the "Populate Chests" tool in my second CTM map, False Findings. I could've wasted 4, 5, maybe even 6 hours populating all the chests manually, but instead of that, I just used 30 seconds to run this tool, and bam, it's all done in an instant. You, sir, are amazing.
When I try to use Populate Chests it says:
IndexError: List out of range.
What's the problem?
I believe, if I'm not mistaken, you haven't selected a valid 'RandomItems.txt' file. If you're on a mac, make sure that the list has been formatted to .txt too!
I'd like to make a map or try at it, but I only have access to a mac computer. I've read the OP, and there was no mention of macs anywhere. How can I run these tools (most importantly the spawner and villager customizers) on a mac? If this is possible, Kamyu, please add that information to the OP.
I used your custom spawner app to generate a sand stack spawner schematic. However, I'm unable to disable the spawner in-game using light levels or water. Ex: surround the spawner/spawn radius with water - items still spawn; encase spawner in glowstone on all 6 sides - items still spawn. The only working disable method is player range. Is this normal for a custom item spawner? Any thoughts on how I can fix this?
Edit:
The only semi-reliable way I could think of to disable was to surround the spawn radius in obsidian. However, you can run around the outer edge and collect some of the item drops [hence semi-reliable]. My other thought was to convert the spawner into a dropped item, place it in a chest, and then surround the chest in obsidian.
[This is an idea I'm working for a custom survival map. Diamond tools are not available in the early stages, which is why I'm using obsidian to restrict access until later in the game.]

These tools are extremely useful and easy to use for almost any mapping situation. Thanks so much to the people who made them and put them here for us to use!
very awesome but is their a possibility you could combine all those tools into one file and just download all the things in one file it would help alot?
Thanks for the info! This is one way, I'll give you that. Not exactly what I was looking for, tho I'm sure I can adapt it to fit my map. I was looking more along the lines of info on how item spawners behave, their spawning conditions, etc. Info that I could work with. Like how mob spawner behavior is based on what mob is spawning... Perhaps there are no spawning conditions for item spawners?

Also, I'll add that I found the instructions a few pages back about Wine Bottler and that those did not work with Custom Spawner - it had no errors but didn't run. Any help?
I'm not on a mac and I've selected the RandomItem.txt file that goes with the zip file and I have writed exactly right.
Second question: Oak wood do you write it like this: 5:0 0 1 100 to get a 100% chance of getting 1 oak wood?
I'm trying to use the create spawners thingymagig to make endermen with black boots that have sharpness 1, that they will drop. a) what do i do for the enchant (16:1?) what do i do to make them black, c) these are the best tools for map makers ever.
I am having a problem with Custom Spawner where when I try to create the spawner, the console says "IndexError: list index out of range"
I noticed someone else had a problem using the Potion application, but that solution didn't seem to work.
EDIT: I also can't seem to click the Add Entity button either. Don't know if this makes a difference.

I have fiddled with a number of settings but each one didn't work. Thanks in advance for the help
I post lots of #Srion dev updates and other MC stuff on twitter. @RedWingHamstorm
What exactly is the problem? Not enough mobs spawning? Spawn area difficulties?
I get a few to spawn then it stops working. I am wondering what settings in what fields would produce that type of spawn (in the video).
thank you for helping, i really appreciate it.

5 0 1 100
to get 1 oak wood in every single chest.

Nope. You'll have to use a different method.
