weird, only the custom data for the spawner is generating, not the custom data on the mob. (for instance, the spawner detects me from 150 blocks away like i told it, but the mob doesn't have any gear) any idea what might be causing this?
With the Custom Spawner, how can I edit the creeper such that it has a head of coal ore and drops coal?
I tried changing the Helmet ID to 16, but that didn't work.
Only Humanoid mobs (zombies, skeletons, wither skeletons, and pigmen) actually show armor when they wear it. However, unless the chance of your creeper dropping its coal ore is zero, it will still drop it. Basically, it doesn't show, but it still exists. Also, if you want it to drop normal coal (not as an ore), just make it the weapon or put it in an armor slot. As a weapon, it can't show, just like armor, because the enemy isn't a humanoid (it's a creeper). As armor, it will not show for any mob, but can still be worn as armor to make the creeper drop it.
Idk, what happens if you try 0? or 0x0? I managed to get it to be black by putting 15.
Also, I'm having a problem with making it so a zombie baby villager drops its pickaxe or leather armor. I set the drop chance to 1, but it isn't dropping anything at all. Any ideas how to enable it dropping its items?
HOW TO RUN THE PROGRAMME ON A MAC!
(example done with Populate Chests)
Downloaded a (free) application called Winebottler at Link Removed , then opened the .exe file (in exemplary case Populate Chests.exe) with wine bottler. A window will come up asking you if you want to run the file directly or create an application. Select Run Directly. This will bring up the GUI. Press Select World, and to locate your world open My Computer/(Z:)/Users/[Your User Name]/Library/Application Support/minecraft/Saves . Then select the world file. Select your desired Random items file saved as RandomItem.txt. Then run the programme!
Hey, great tools and all but I think I found a bug with the custom spawner. When I create a custom mob it has everything I entered, but upon death the mobs drop everything, completely ignoring the drop rates. Once again, great tools. These are probably the most reliable map making tools out there
I'm not sure of a workaround to have custom stacked mobs with the createspawners tool until kamyu updates, but adding names is easy.
You need NBTedit to do this.
First, create the spawner and then open it with NBTedit. Find the mob you wish to add a nametag to and go under properties.
(This will be under TileEntities -> X Entries -> Spawn Potentials -> X Entries -> Properties)
Next, add a byte (black dot in NBTedit) and call it CustomNameVisible. Once this is created, set it to 1.
Then, add a string (the TT in NBTedit) and call it CustomName. Set this to the desired name.
Finally, save and close NBTedit. That's all there is to it!

Well, one problem with that is that, if you have to use NBTEdit, you might as well use just NBTEdit and Sethbling's filters, and save yourself the time wasted closing Minecraft and MCEdit so that you can use this tool.
nope, checked the boxes. I actually went back and rechecked them, because i actually did forget the first time. But it still doesn't work. :/

I'm pretty sure the colors are represented by the ID of the corresponding color wool block. i.e. 15 is Red, 16 is black.
did you select your world and the text file?
