SteamCraft
I have to think of a better name..
anyways I decided to release this, simply put, it allows you to have steam work with your ingame overlay and minecraft run with any amount of ram, you know all those batch files you made, allowing minecraft to run with more ram? but you figured out that steam cant use the overlay with batch files!!
this will fix that!!
it uses a built in windows 7 tool called Iexpress to make an exe out of batch files.. basicly.. when you run the exe, it extracts 2 batch files to your temp folder, the first check to make sure you have your minecraft jar on your desktop and then it moves the launcher bat to the desktop, its a very very simple fix for a problem..
WARNING WARNING do to the nature of the exe it will be listed as a virus in most cases, heck, I would too if I was extracting a patch file from an exe and running it!!
ill be posting pictures and what the batch files contain!!
How to use
simply run the file, and do as it says, the 1024mbs version for some reason keeps the bat file running in the background.. but the other one doesnt, no idea why, hmhm...
You also need to have a Fresh Minecraft.Jar on your Desktop Because of the way it launches and gives the ram.. it will only use the launcher frame from this, dont really know why this step is needed, but its aaaalll in the method... http://www.minecraft.net/download

Haha!
Holy Facepalm! I forgot the download links haha!!
give me a sec
Something about this post made me completely facepalm.
the fact that I just forgot my own download links..??
:|
anyways.. it simply allows you to run steam while using more ram.. :|
**EDIT**
fixed!! links added!!
if people have a bunch of problems with this.. ill just post a tutorial on how to make it.. when you upload things from Iexpress it tends to be scanned as a virus....
Oh! I wasn't aware of Iexpress, thank you for telling me about this useful tool!
haha!!
well if you want you could make this tool, just simply make a new one with the tool, name it whatever, no promps and the first file is mcstarter and the second file is mcstarter 2.. also..
cmd /c mcstarter.bat
and
cmd /c mcstarter2.bat
or it will give you an error..
then make sure it says use long names, no restart, and just build it..
reason I am posting this is.. most stuff made with Iexpress is scanned as a virus on other pcs..
Great tool! It works flawlessly when I have my vanilla minecraft in .minecraft/bin/ but when I try to use my modded .jar it runs REAL slow. I can run the modded just fine without steam/tool. Any ideas?
