ok so I tried not putting in an IP adress and I don't know the IP for my friends. I tried making my own IP but it says Failed to bind to port. Please help
So you want to make your own server? Did you port forward or used hamachi? And DON'T fill the ip in the settings file!
Do you have Norton AntiVirus? And please download and install .NET Framework 4
Nope I don't have NA. I use Mcafee but I have its settings pretty laid back lol. Never had trouble with bukkit serervers b4 I also have the latest version of .net :smile.gif:

Don't you get the same error when pressing support?
Before I try, does this happen to work with Bukkit plugins and/or ModloaderMP mods? I'd love to use this to raise a Fallout-based server, but that also means I'll have to add guns, npcs, and stuff.

MC Server Soft is a Bukkit based server, and ModloaderMP runs on bukkit right? Than it should work. But to make sure make a backup of your previous server.
And if you were using bukkit in the first place you can just copy your mods in the "plugins" folder.
No becuse I fo not own it and would not like to take too much time to learn how to.
I do not think you understand the purpose of Hamachi.
To make a server you need to run it on an ip, which is an address for each and every computer.
Running a server requires you to input a ip to host the server on. To get your computer ip search and open up this program in your windows start search input box and when it loads up type in ipconfig and press enter.
Under "Wireless Network Connection" you'll find your IPv4 Address, I highly suggest not using this as if someone had your computer ip they could hack you very easily.
So what people do to get their server hosted on an ip is to "port foward", there are many tutorials on how to do this. It is confusing-I can't do it myself at the moment but an easier and less restrictive alternative is LogMeIn Hamachi.
What Hamachi does is you don't have to do all the port forwarding, it allows you to create a network for players to join.
Once you have hamachi and created a network all you have to do is go into your minecraft hosting software and in the settings type in the ip which you can find at the top of your hamachi program.
Then all you have to do is run the software and go into Minecraft and type in the new ip of the server.
If you want friends to join your server all they have to do is download hamachi and join your network and then just type the ip into Minecraft.
And there you have it.

Probably in the future yes, but don't ask me when ...
Updated to 4.7.3.0! Check it out! It was a lot of work! :laugh.gif:
Thanks for the update, only issue I have found is on the Extreme Edition 8 GB, the instal file will not allow you to select where you want to install the server. I choose to never run my server on C drive, and need to install where the previous version is. Is this just a mistake not allowing us to set destination folder for installing?

But if you want I can make an special edition for you. If you would like that of course.
