According to these settings, the map will be 2500 chunks total, so it can't be 50%, when it reaches 2500 chunk. Next time give me a full file, especially the big hexadecimal number in a second line of file.
Also I'd like to see a full report of this bug, step by step (what did you do, what is the program output text and so on).
The biggest complaint I had about the original Golden Tunnels generator was that it completely removed many available blocks. Clay, reeds, flowers, pumpkins, etc. would never be generated. I know that this generator creates occasional 'features', like a lake/pond, sand bed, etc. Is there any way to add more features to it, such that the tunnels might occasionally include patches of clay, small pumpkin patches, reeds, flower beds, and so on? It would round out the available block and item types, and create more diversity in the distinct tunnels.
Haha just found out that Golden Tunnels generates clay, very rarely, at the end of tunnels, in the form of stalactites and stalagmites... at least four times as much clay as in any vanilla map vein.

As ace5000 already mentioned: my generator ocasionaly creates clay deposits in tunnel intersection areas (or at the end of a tunnel) in form of stalactites and stalagmites. By the way: original generator also creates that feature.
About flowers, pumpkins and reeds: I'll add this feature when I'll finish BioSphere generator.
I'd like to see what sort of options you are planning on giving us for "Notch basic terrain gen" map and "Map with settings" map.
It would be nice to have an alternate noise algorithm, something that lets you play with vertical and horizontal noise, volatility, shape of peaks/valleys, sea level, etc. the way you can now with PhoenixTerrainMod.
Eventually it would also be nice to have some control over biome size and bias: be able to manipulate the output of the seed biome calculations so that they are made uniformly wetter, or drier, and warmer. Just some thoughts. I don't know if it already lets you determine ore density/distribution or level/size of lava lakes and caverns. When I clicked the settings button, it showed the "Not available yet" error and my heart sank a little.
i try to make a planetoids map...
when i put it into the ( empty ) saves... ( i have like 15! worlds! )
i doesnt show up...
am i putting it into the wrong saves... cause i think i have 2.

I don't think there will be options for Notch basic terrain gen, because I want it to be a copy of what minecraft is generating. Maybe I'll add different versions of generators, corresponding to different versions of minecraft.
Now about a second generator, "Map with settings". Initial idea was to create a copy of BiomeTerrain mod (now PhoenixTerrainMod), so there should be all this options you are mentioned. However, if I'm not mistaken, the new mod has no open source code, so it will be very difficult to implement it.
I plan to start work on these generators at the last turn, so many things could change by the time I start working on them. Maybe I will not be able to finish them, when minecraft will be realeased, or I'll change my mind regarding these generators, or these generators will be just useless. In any case, it is too early to talk about these generators.
I'll be honest, I came here to complain about you stealing Seibai's work, but after seeing the differences in quality and customization, I am impressed. The amount of choices we are given is really good :happy.gif: Nice work.
Although I would like to see some more original designs, right now they are all clearly based on Seibai's creations. I assume the upcoming 'BioSphere' generator is similar to his 'Mystical Islands'?

The thing is - right now almost anything is already been invented (in generators or custom maps). So if I do anything, someone will come here and start complaining that I'm a thief and these features are already been published. However I have several small new ideas, but I'm not sure that they won't copy someone work.
If anyone could give me a really good idea, maybe I could make it. I don't have time to make new ideas, I don't have enough time even for programming.
Seibai's generators perform pretty poorly - it takes ages to generate a small world. Your program works much better, you listen to suggestions and there are quite a few new cool features that can be set up.
Don't care about people yelling you are a thief, these are just a stupid minority. Many more people enjoy your work.
Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it.
P.S. Little update on biosphere generator.
Right now my generator can create biospheres with random biomes inside. Biospheres may be in a grid like in original generator or may be in random order. Generator can create bridges between biospheres, even when they are in random order.
Each biome in biosphere contains it's distinctive features, like in "Taiga biome" there are snow and fir-trees.
Also I'd like to point out, that in original generator the sphere itself is deformed to match a landscape noise. Because of this the spheres are turned into ellipsoids, with breaches all over them and it was not looking good with option "Water world". My generator creates a perfect spheres (as far as possible in minecraft).
I still have much to do, but I'm moving to my goal quite confident.

Off the top of my head, here's an idea. What if you could have a normal LOOKING world, but is , I guess you would say, mutlifloor. That is, you are diggin in your mine, and 7 or so blocks down, you emerge in a second world underground, trees, lightstone, and all...

Very cool idea.
I've got one too - a vertical world. You'd have to have it enclosed, and probably multiple vertical sections. The trees would look odd of course, as the rings are vertical, not horizontal - but you could still generate them to appear horizontal.
Minus x is below ground
Plus X is above ground
Put bedrock at y-128 and y128
If you make multiple layers (similar to the idea above) - separate them out with blue wool to imitate sky - possibly with fake grey/white wool clouds.
Actually, for that matter - why not an upside down world as well? You'd need to have the spawn point somewhere that the player won't plunge to their death immediately of course.
It's a very good ideas (I liked the upside down one), but I can't generate a normal map yet. It is planned, but not right now. Mainly because of the 1.8 patch with new terrain generation.
P.S. I'll release a new version of the program soon. The new version will include a BioSphere generator (without caves in lower part of the spheres, but with some other options).
Also I came up with a new idea regarding the configuration file and I will completely rework it's generation, so the new version won't be able to load settings.
Another brilliant idea came up, regarding Flatmap generator. In the ideal it will be able to create a map with lots of custom layers made of different materials and with reworked settings file you would be able to share this setups.
I'm very glad to announce a new version of my program: 0.6.0.0. Download link is in the first post.
In this version you can generate a different type of world, called BioSpheres.
Here are some features:
1. You can choose to generate a BioSpheres like in original generator (in a grid), or at random positions.
2. You can choose to generate an underwater map.
3. You can choose to generate bridges between BioSpheres.
4. You can choose various materials of bridges and BioSpheres.
5. You can choose, what biomes inside spheres you want to generate. However there will be at least 1 forest biome, to get a wood.
6. The program will generate resourse spheres floating around. These spheres contains iron, glod, lapis lazuli, redstone and diamonds. Also you can find coal underground in BioSpheres.
7. The program will occasionally generate lakes in a center of BioSpheres. Lake type varies in different biomes.
I strongly recommend to generate large BioSphere maps (128x128 chunks and more).
I decided to release this version without massive cave generation underneath BioSpheres, because it will take some time to figure out, how this works.
The next update will rework configuration files, so I can store there more information. This will allow me to make some major updates in different existing options.
Then I'll make Flatmap generator more flexible in terms of options, so you can control every aspect of generation. Also I'll finish some options, that are not working yet, such as "Hubs" and light sourses in Golden Tunnel generator, Gates in Castle wall border settings and so on.
P.S. Please submit any bugs and errors you'll find.
I've been trying out this program making a planetoid map, and I think it has much potential! Great interface and nice options! I also like the fact that water based planetoids really begin at level 0 instead of halfway up! Also very good that you've included other types of wood, mossy cobblestone and lapis lazuli blocks. However I do still miss the plants like cacti, mushrooms, flowers, sugercane & pumpkins. And maybe sandstone can be added too, because I love those to build with!
One other thing that I would really like to see on future versions is being able to set a much bigger density of the planetoids. I understand that with a bigger density it will take longer to create the maps, but I take that for granted, as creating needs to be done only once. I created two 32 chunk, max density, planetoid worlds (with MCTerra and the old Seibai generator) and the difference in amount of planetoids is huge! See pictures below for examples!
I don't know how and I don't belive this is possible. :dry.gif:
