Guess that since 1.3 is out, I'll have to update this. :smile.gif:
Hooray! MineOS users love you!
We've forked MineOS since Hexparrot doesn't seem to be working on it anymore. Just wondered when you might be getting around to updating this script, as MineOS had used it to do automatic map checking and chunk fixes using most recent diff backups and we would love to get that working again.
Here is a new program to check worlds for corrupt chunks: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/admin-chunkster.8186/
It's called chunkster and has worked really for the maps I use on my server. It may work for sp but I haven't tested this.
def is_valid_mob_id(self, name):
return name == 'Mob'\
or name == 'Monster'\
or name == 'Creeper'\
or name == 'Skeleton'\
or name == 'Spider'\
or name == 'Giant'\
or name == 'Zombie'\
or name == 'Slime'\
or name == 'PigZombie'\
or name == 'Ghast'\
or name == 'Pig'\
or name == 'Sheep'\
or name == 'Cow'\
or name == 'Chicken'\
or name == 'Squid'
One clue I missed it where to actually point checkworld.py at. If I have my saved games at /.minecraft/saves and the folder for the crashed game is at /.minecraft/saves/CrashedGame, do I point checkworld.py at the folder or a specific file within the folder?

What am I doing wrong?

Another option would be to convert current map files back to the old format and then run your tool and convert them back to the current format.

There's a bit where you can shorten it:
can be shortened to:
You can even put that list as a constant if it's gonna be used elsewhere too.

The script is way outdated now. It doesn't work on the current world format.
