stable 18 works, chief. huh, not sure why 21 is being such a douche to me <.<
EDIT: running stable 18, updating to 21, brings back the problem. (to be expected). However, when I delete said folder and extract the stable 18 zip again (to the same location) the problem is still there. Perhaps the problem is a corrupted registry? it may be something that isnt getting deleted when i delete that folder.
I think you didn't actually include any of the "Plant On" block in the selection, or too little of it so it couldn't find any after 5000 tries. Can you post a picture of what you're trying to do?
Here you go, a fairly simple project I'm trying to do :smile.gif:

Forester doesn't work underground. Try removing the ceiling or copying the floor out to a temporary area before running the filter.
(The function that should be fixed is MCLevelAdapter.surface_block in mcInterface.py in the filters folder. It should do a full column scan instead of reading from the precalculated heightmap.)
I get this when I load my world (I have the cubic chunks and single player commands mod installed). The world loaded fine when I first opened it, even with the mod installed and the save converted, but after I did some work on it, it stopped loading here. Is there any way to fix this? There is a lot of ice that I want to replace with dirt, and it would take ages to do manually.
I'm experiencing issues with the terrain generation causing the level of new chunks to mismatch existing data. I suspect this was caused by a Minecraft update or bug. Checking this thread it seems others here have had the same issue. I tried the Smooth filter but was disapointed in the result.
I've developed a "decliff" filter that seems to do a much better job with this specific issue See before and after screen shots below:
Things to note:
1. Changes are averaged across width of selection so select more of either side of cliff for more subtle change
2. Cliff must be parallel to the long edge of the selection
3. Ensure selection goes below ground level and above any trees/ground on cliff top
Raise/Lower option allows limit of only raising the cliff base or lowering the cliff top.
See 2 in "things to note" above - ensure long edge of slection is parallel to cliff face
2. It just puts smooth stone at base of cliff
Selection must go completly below ground level - lower the bottom edge
3. Everything is adjusted OK except for a small section is left as it is
The filter looks for a large vertical step to identify the cliff face, if you have a deep sinkhole floating blocks of dirt or another large cliff in the selection it can identify this as the cliff face, fill in the sinkhole/delete floating blocks or reduce selection to avoid other cliffs.
4. One or two slices are adjusted different to everything else
This is also caluse by sinkholes/floating dirt see answer to 3 above
my MCEdit is being strange, i go into it, so far so good, then when i right clck so i can look around the mouse suddendly points straight up into the air, and whenever i move the mouse, wichever way, the cube pointing to the sky will just kinda spin around, i have singleplayer commands and too many items installed, i find that if i move my moue very slowly, a few millimeters, it will not shoot straight up at the sky, but if i move it any further it will have me looking straight up and stuck looking thatb way
whats wrong with it? normal minecraft is working completely fine.

Whenever I try to Create New World (any size) I get an Error 13 'Permission Denied', and I'm left at the main menu. The world is created though, but it's just a spwn point and nothing else. I'm using stable 21 (64-bit) and Windows 7. This also happened before I switched from the 32-bit version, so I assume this is a Windows thing. Any idea how I can fix it?
hmmmm, when i look at the little black text box thing it says, whenever i move my heaven pointing mouse.
"loading nearby chunks" over and over and over again as i despratly wiggle my mouse, it worked fine until now, i never did anything new it did this even before i updatede MCedit to stable 21 (32 bit) whats wrong with it?
seeing the little box pointing at the sky spinning makes me rage.
Hey I have minecraft 1.7.3 and mcedit stable21 and windows 7. When ever I try to do something in mcedit, it takes a long time and it takes forever to render everything..Most of the time it doesn't respond. Is there anything I can do to make go faster and work?
I tried to get it to work but when I opened it it said Could not find Python 2.6. I installed 2.7 and put it where it needed to be and still nothing. And the linux wont work for me for some reason. I use mac 10.5.8

When I downloaded and installed the 64-bit version, it refused to run and gave me the following error window:
Any advice? :unsure.gif:
Looks like your OS is 32-bit, so you can't run the 64-bit version. You're going to have to try one of the other options that were proposed...
I swear that I am running a 64-bit version of windows! Lemme go checkWow, I legitimately thought I owned a 64-bit copy of windows until now... :mellow.gif:
Well then, I suppose this is a good excuse to go get windows 7 then!
