most issues are stated in the change log, so I have nothing negative to say! Great texture pack over-all, and I love that theres a 16x pack with tekkit support
At last, this is what I was waiting for. 1.3 of Glendale is now up and going! We now support the new 1.5 texture format, as well as keeping hold of the old terrain/items files to support past versions.
Some thing's did have to be removed for this update however.
Custom Water/Lava was removed for the time being until I get to sorting out the now required text files to control the animations.
CTM Support is disabled for the time, as I am waiting the 1.5 full update to MCpatcher to begin the convert over to the new CTM format. This may take some time. I will also try and keep in older support, but not sure at the time if having both in one pack would work out.
The Next Update for Glendale will be coming soon. This will include the return of CTM support, custom water/lava and a few other goodies! One such being that as of next update, every block has now been fully textured!
The last block that had been stuck hanging, the note/juke box's have at last gained their own textures! It's nothing to die for, as this block was one of the ones my brain had been stumbling over for so long.
I wanted to show that one was made with redstone, and the other with a diamond, not easy when the jukebox uses the note blocks side textures (unless I CTMed it to death). The only last min edit I may make is adding the redstone 'wiring' to the top of the jukebox to tie the textures in.
Also a long awaited fix for the annoying line through the top grass has been fixed! Although people may still say it looks 'noised' something it wasn't >.>;;;
On top of all this, if anyone has been keeping tabs on the Texture Union, you would know I've been working on something on the side.
GLENDALE 32X
Yes that is right. Now that all the blocks are finished, leaving just the items to poke at (Unless mojang adds more blocks!), I have slowly been working on a 32x version of Glendale. It is something that has been asked of me for a while now on here, and on PMC, and yes, it is coming. But it will be coming for 1.5+ ONLY. I do not desire to mess with making a full 1.5 version, and a 1.4 version. That is just way to much time out of my pocket and I have little free time as is.
What held me back before was my old laptop (that died now) couldn't handle HD textures all that well, but now I have a new rig, and with the automated HD support of minecraft 1,5+, it had given me the push to give a HD pack ago.
The big question is: What will the 32x Support?
It will have CTM support, same as Glendale 16x.
Mod Support however, WILL be coming. But not any time soon. I still have a lot to go just to make the 16x mod supports as is. I rather get that done, and get the 32x pack done (at least all the blocks) before I want to start of Mod support like Tekkit and Feed the Beast.
POLL TIME
On the topic of mods, already people have agreed to keep a 'Default' Glendale and a 'Mod Support' Glendale as two downloads rather than joining them together. Well here's another question for you regarding this:
Not everyone plays Tekkit, or Feed the Beast, but do play with some of these mods. Plus some mods I'd like to add support for that are not included in both of those packs.
For those who may only play with one mod, or have their own 'mod packs' they make to play with. Would you like it if I; along with the full packs for Tekkit/Feed the Beast; also added split downloads for individual mods? Like say, a download just holding the files for Red Power, or one just for Mystcraft, or one just for Mo' Creatures? So you can pick and chose and just add them to the default for those that may only use said mods? Rather than taking everything?
1. The name is after a custom map I have. I didn't know it was a real city until some long time after.
2. Unless I wanted minecraft to chug at an amazing 1fps with optifine and view distance at the lowest it could go, just to turn on smooth lighting and or fancy textures for those shots at the time they were taken.. ya no, and I wasn't about to get a new pc -just- so you can have smooth lighting in preview images.
I do have a new pc now however and do plan to update them. But that is not the top of my list right now. Finishing the mobs and villagers for the next update is.
Speaking of:
I found it very hard to make them all look at you for a group screeny xD
GLENDALE has now been updated to v1.5! The big MOB Update! Or semi Big.
As I said in the notice:
Notice: Sense the 1.6 format has changed everything AGAIN. This may be the last update UNTIL said format comes out. As I'll be busy changing over to the new texture file names, folder layouts, java files and so on. Lot of work to go into this to ready the pack for 1.6!
The Mob update aimed to finish up all of the mobs of the game, sadly not -all- of them got done, but most have! Cows and Pigs are still in an OLDER style, not yet updated! Yes, they will look a bit out of place. I may put out a mini update at some time to fix them if not will be fixed in 1.6.
Why did I put this pack out now rather then wait till I finished all the mobs? That again is due to the 1.6 update. I want to start converting over as soon as I can so this packs ready for it and I can sort the stuff out. If I have two versions of the pack, if I update one, I may forget to update it on the other.
So, all mobs are now done aside:
Ghast, Sheep, Magma Slimes, Cats, Bats, Iron Golem, Snowman and the Ender Dragon are the only mobs not yet textured!
Cows and Pigs, textures are still old for them... will be updated.
Want to apologize for not getting an update for 1.6 out fast like other updates have come.
During one of my trips home from work (I take the buss... three in fact to and from) a large storm struck with a down pour that reduced viability down to 10 feet (that is not exaggerating either) with high winds gusting. Sadly we couldn't remain on the buss and the driver wasn't about to sit there, and I wasn't about to enjoy who knows how long or how far a buss ride until the rain stopped so I stepped out...
As soon as I did my feet landed in a torrent of water down the side walk, and along with that gusting winds knocked me down. I landed hard jamming/spraining my wrist and smashing my knee, and instantly getting soaked.
Not fun, not fun at all.
That was three weeks ago, my knee is still semi brushed but my wrist still aches. I may be ambidextrous (a.k.a no dom right/left hand, can use both) working on stuff with one hand can still be annoying and slow.
I have sorted out how to do all the 3D meshs, the issues I am running into however involve the texture mapping.
For example when I try and texture the bed, the top face wants to take the whole texture and strech/squish it across the whole of a 'block' section, instead of mapping say, just the pillow part of the texture to the... pillow block on the bed... it instead takes from the whole thing.
The bottom half of the bed came out fine.. the top half.... yeah I cant get the mapping to work right.
Even told it to map a 1x1 pixel and it still is trying to take the whole texture and cram it onto each upper face. (maitres, pillow, bedsheet)
So yes, that's what the beds may look like, if the texture issue can be fixed x.x
Now I see a new issue.. my flowing lava is animating very... badly.
I really like your netherrack, i may try your colours on mine actually it would fit my pack.
So we got a keeper!
New Chests coming next update!
....On another note...
What oh what could this mean?
Some thing's did have to be removed for this update however.

Hope you enjoy!

If there's anything that I can do to aid you, let me know. I'm probably not good for much, but if you can think of anything, don't hesitate to ask.
I know how it feels to have an injury that stops you getting on with things for a good while and how frustrating it gets.
Just some of the new 1.8 3D mesh's! To view them in game use the latest snapshot!
These may change in the future.
For example when I try and texture the bed, the top face wants to take the whole texture and strech/squish it across the whole of a 'block' section, instead of mapping say, just the pillow part of the texture to the... pillow block on the bed... it instead takes from the whole thing.

Don't get me started on doors....
I also like how you added 3d, mesh and model to your tags
