Zam, looking awesome with the new updates and the brighter textures you have been revamping i think was a really good change up!
So i'm curious as you must know something i don't. I had plans to make my clay really detailed/useful build materials, same ish idea frames/support struts etc BUT I had to throw it all away because of the clay biomes, even now my CTM connected edges look a bit strange when out in the wild.
Do you have some way of forcing the clay biomes to use a different texture set!??
@ Syclone: well with ctm you can (hopefully) do the biomes=canyon. Then you can also have all your custom clay textures only appear if ctm is active (so that non mcpatcher/optifine users don't get messed up biomes either).
Only downside is that you won't be able to use the custom stainedclays in the canyon biome xD
Might I suggest taking a look at Halcyon Days. The creator did some fantastic work with his tudor walls (they are replacing quartz blocks). I like the stucco color of your vertical+horizontal?`tudor walls. However I think the white tudor walls fit your pack better
Keep up the good work Ever since I started making textures 3 months ago, your pack has been a great source of inspiration.
Syclone- What Filmjolk said, but I was actually planning on maybe just making the varieties that are used in the terrain in mesa biomes work with that, and using the ones that aren't for building materials.
We need to ask Kahr to make an MCPather feature which allows textures to be customized for blocks placed by the player!
Filmjolk- Yes, I've looked at that specific part of that pack for inspiration, but moreso your pack. I love what you did with them. I'm actually going to revise the quartz, and don't worry about white, the white stained clay will be white. What you're looking at there are the two types of gray.
looks like a pretty awesome texture pack... the builds you're using to show it off on the other hand could use some work
I made them each in like five minutes just to show the new materials for the updates. Trust me, if I had the time to put lots of work into them, I would. Would you rather have textures, or quality screenshots? When all of the new blocks come out I'll probably ask around for some nice builds.

I feel ya man, but I just like to apply the rule of business.
Calvin Klein to sell its underwear puts handsome men... it's more appealing to the eye as a "this is what you could look like", even though u wont grow a 6pack from wearing them xD
In the end, it sells!
good builds+good pack= this is what my builds could look like
Yo gotta sell it man!

I'm sorry, the minecraft forums no longer support the small youtubers. Kindly bugger off

Yeah, I know. Good analogy.
Right now my whole thread is kind of an outdated mess, I've pretty much just been updating in the comments. As I said, once I get all of these new building blocks complete, I'll probably revamp the thread.

might i suggest having people build them for you if it is an issue? the structures i mean.
I suppose I'm a bit late, but I have redone my pumpkin. I don't really consider it to be redoing anything however, since the old one was so bad that it might as well not even have existed. (I took it out of the pack file because it was too ugly.)

Yes, I know that I still need to make an "unlit" version, but I realized that after I was finished. I'll go back and do it sometime soon.
How does everyone like the old one better? It was so inferior to me and I was so happy with the new one— and now everyone is saying that they liked the old one... I'm keeping the new one thought, so it doesn't matter.
Try posting on PMC forum that you are looking for builds, well you could do it here on MCF as well, but PMC tends to move faster.
The thing I like better about your old pumpkin is the stem, the design that is.
Your old pumpkin had it's own charm, it was very rustic and almost looked as if it was alive due to the uneven face. It reminds me a bit of Tim Burton's art, it looks kind but not overly and still a bit mischievous. However, the lighting effect on the new pumpkin is superior to that of hte old one.
But it's final now? you are going for more saturation and light? You could always have a darker alt pack version with less saturation.

I like the new one better lol. just saying, like the poster above me that the old one had a nice rustic charm ha ha.
Also, love the new avatar picture... Does this mean faceless sheep in the future? XD
So my building skills are, to put it mildly, crap, but here's something I threw together when I was playing with the new sandstone. ruined desert village.

Hello again. I posted this build here before, but I'm going to post it again!
I did some edits to this mansion with the sole purpose of making it look better with the default resourcepack. I was surprised that it still looks great with your lovely resourcepack, especially with some of the new changes you've made to it. The pictures are very dark (mostly intentionally), click them to view in full-size.

That's a nice build you have there, one of those is going in the OP.
No, no faceless sheep, I think they'll be normal.

Great build, very nice use of materials. I never thought to use quartz like that, but I'm happy to see that it works really well! I love that first picture, it has a spot in the OP.
Well, I've redone the dirt texture. I'm still not sure if this is final, it but it's probably pretty close.

filmjolk was spot on. It will technically work for 1.6.x or 1.7.x, though the textures are entirely complete for... no version of minecraft.

... and I love the new grass.
for the unlit pumpkin how about just no face?
