Appleslinky, do you use RandomMobs in your game? Hang on to all those variants and drop them in your mob folder if you do. I do that with my packs and it's pretty fun to be able to have variety between mobs.
I'm getting some bizarre comments on my planetminecraft Wolfhound page, mostly related to having to patch the game. There's a big notice saying it needs to be done! Seriously!
Okay, I finished the skin for my first attempt. How does this look?
EWDIT: I'm going to add the eye back into his skull, it's too hard to see it hanging out.
Apple, the skeleton looks horrifying! I tried your pack last night for the first time. I was very tense while playing. I started a hardcore world, and I died. Death by creeper. It is truly an awesome pack, and extremely well done!

That is pure awesome! I love how much detail you put into it. You should try adding another bit of tattered flesh somewhere else on the body too. Or maybe part of a ripped shirt. This texture would be great for variations, like Steelfeathers said.
Yeah, Ive had one for a long time, it was my sisters :smile.gif:
I think its a Bamboo Pen and Touch, dont remember exactly.
^ Made that in SAI, its not great, but im new to painting, I wanna get better :biggrin.gif:
Edit: But yeah I think SAI is for me. I tried painting in photoshop a couple months ago, but I was terrible and theres a really hard learning curve to get past. SAI seems to be more-so toward beginners, and my sister recommended it to help get past that learning curve, because painting in photoshop has alot more benefits even if its harder. At least thats what she told me.

Sounds like a very good idea, I never thought of that. The only problem is then I would only have support for skeletons x)

Hahaha, I'm glad the pack scares people. And I'm especially happy you died by a creeper, seeing I just finished the skin and all.

Thanks, I'm definitely going to look into Randomobs. Hopefully I'll be able to texture when I'm away.
See you all in 3 days!

I think it's awesome for a first try! I can't wait to see more paintings. :smile.gif:
@apple the way I died was completely fitting for your pack. I was running away from two creepers, and I ran into a third. I'm really sad I put the world on hardcore now because there were 10 wolves very close to spawn. 10! {{headesk}}

Seems like I'm hearing SAI get mentioned more, and the more I look at it the more I feel like I should try it.
I like these programs, if only because they're very reasonably priced. While Photoshop is good (something I cannot deny myself from experience), I doubt it's honestly actually worth the excessive amount of money it sells for, and eventually I'm sure the cheaper stuff is actually going to manage to catch up to it in terms of power.

I know alot of professionals that actually use both. Some use photoshop more, others use SAI more. I have a feeling down the road im going to be using both equally, because from what ive seen so far both have their strengths and weaknesses :smile.gif: but right now SAI is all ive ever dreamed for, because of the angle tool. You can rotate the picture freely, and i love that oh so much :smile.gif: Corel painter is the big daddy to SAI though, so i might get htat one day too.
I might have to check out SAI, those look really neat and I'm intrigued now. Sadly, it shall have to wait until... next week. All my spare art time will be dedicated to getting these two scrolls done. I think I've spent about six hours on it today and I still have a ton of detail work left. So I'm just going to put in a half-hour of writing tonight and call it a day.
Well i gave up on Minecraft and that texture pack I was working on cause I got busy with other things. I'm currently working on a game with someone and decided to use the textures i've made so far for the game :ohmy.gif:
Made a quick generic mockup.
Might as well post some recent digi doodles too

I was trying to make something impressionist, but its the grim reaper :tongue.gif:
And the game your making reminds me of terra noctus :tongue.gif:
Ah I see. Any particular reason you aren't continuing it?

I started using SAI. No, but theres been a ton of things going on, too much to just point out.
And those that use SAI, how do you minimize a selection/layer? I have a good sketch, but its bigger then i wanted :\
Edit: Found it ;D
Depends, how long were you gone?
EDIT: This wins for best title I have seen in ages.
