Definitely love this tutorial! I'v wanted to start my own texture pack, but I am not terribly creative, and I tend to have trouble thinking of how to start the textures. I really like how you explained it all. It's given me a couple small idea's to start for a few of the terrain items. Than I can hopefully build around those :biggrin.gif:
I thought about making leaves, but now I'm not so sure I want to give away my secrets. I've already seen a lot of people make brick that looks almost a little TOO much like the brick I do in the tutorial. (As in, the same texture with a few extra pixels. XP)

at least its not simple, you should be honored :smile.gif:
I'm using cs5... you do have Offset, I made an error, I will fix the post.
The correct path for the filter is:
Filter > Other > Offset
Sorry dude!
Oh thanks! Maybe this will speed things up. No promises, seeing as I've already done most of my textures :-)
I've got one for dirt somewhere...
ah, here.
Hey hey! No advertising your tutorial on MY tutorial, please!
And to the person who requested dirt: I can do that. :wink.gif:
What, you can still make lumpy dirt. Besides, mine was 16x. Totally different. :wink.gif:
Actually...on second thought, it will probably have to wait until I get back from vacation in two weeks. I have to pack tonight.
Speaking of which, make sure that the admins and mods know who are acting has your proxies. :biggrin.gif:
Don't worry, I'll take care of it!
:ducks:
Uh, how am I supposed to tell them? Or should I just state it in big bold letters at the top of the OP?
Yeah, you'd better duck, you upstart 16x urchin.
I don't think I'm going to do dirt, because the process for making it is almost identical to the process for making stone.
