Also if your nether is redder it make nether forts look ohh so garish.
Yes, now that you mention it, that was the reason why I didn't keep the dark purple colour on the bricks. Actually I struggled quite long to get a look that fit well in the nether. Unfortunately it comes with a prise of not fitting too much in the main world, but honestly I don't like the original netherbrick there either.
The texture pack looks awesome so far I love texture packs that mixes realism, with cartoon, like soartex fanver. But your texture is amazing! I will wait for it
Very nice work and nice improvements since you started!
One thing I've noticed though, the sidegrass is incredibly flat. I know you're going for the smooth look but atm it's kinda just like a green carpet that stretches down half the dirt block. Maybe making individual grass strands (obviously stylised so you can actually see them) stand out or something would make it a bit of a more interesting texture?
I must say I really enjoy all the feedback. Everytime I get suggestions on things I thought I did good from the start, when the next version is complete, I realise that the first version actually wasn't very nice.
The side-grass is however a quite early product, so I can see why it needs to improve. The side grass was unfortunately quite hard for me back then (because it must be made with sharp edges), which was the reason I never changed it when I finally found a decent solution (after 1 million tries).
Grass and other plants/flowers are actually the most important since they cover so much of the world, therefore feedback is worth everything.

I'm on a roll right now, extremely productive, so I will use this boost of energy to complete as many items as possible before I get bored. Then I'll go back to refine what needs to be refined.
Dang! After seeing the pictures on the opening post, I couldn't resist going through the pages to see some progress, and this is just... Amazing! The tools and weapons are looking glorious! And I don't use that word lightly!
My only suggestion is to add some more shadow below the side grass, and perhaps add some thicker and softer shadow? At the moment, it looks a bit like paper pressed against it, and not as much like thick grass overgrown on the dirt's side.
Still, everything else is amazing! I need to look at these threads sooner!
Yes my progression is quite radical. I found my first image of the pack, which I'm thinking about to add to this thread so that people can compare (and so insomniac_lemon's reply makes sense. ).
It's good that you also brought up the side grass, it never occurred to me before that it looked just like a flat paper before people mentioned it.
Question:
I have a huge list of blocks I wanna update before an official release, however, are people willing to use a texture pack that has no mobs for the moment? Or will they wait until every single entity is created?
Currently my fanbase is a lot of people on my server who have supported me a lot, they even use my beta-versions. But I don't know how unusual it is to use a non finished TP.

How is this leafy style? Is it too messy? I'm quite used to the flat one which makes this very extreme in my eyes.
The mild version looks great! I had tried some different types of sidegrass for my own packs, but I never thought of a leafy style! In words, I would have expected it to look weird, but seeing it now, it looks great!
It doesn't happen often, but I actually have no criticisms on this now. Really nice job on this!

I think it looks better on the screenshot than ingame, but I've decided to let it rest for later. Sometimes things will work out if you just give it some time.
I'm glad you like it though, still my screenshots are quite biased and you probably find more complaints in-game.
I'm aiming to establish a theme: Fairy tale. Do you guys think that sounds appealing?
Consequently I will start remaking my most modern textures into something more old styled. Tell me what you think about these planks. Too big step? (If you like the style I will continue retexturing the other things to fit better.)
I do like the fairly tale theme, but I think that maybe it should altered slightly to be a "light, semi-modern fairy tale," since it seems to me that to truly do the fairly tale theme justice, so much would need to be re-done that you really might as well start over.
Thanks guys! Almost 100 downloads on this new version without any promotion on reddit at all, it's very exciting!
I've gotten some feedback from people saying that I probably need to make a modern option if I decide to continue with the older style. I kind of agree.
Now I will be on a vacation for a couple of weeks, so I have no idea when the project will continue. Even so, feedback is always welcome!
Looks really nice. However, the chests are a bit too rough compared to other textures. Smoothing it down, maybe a varnished chest?, would make it much better.

Do you mean the grass as the lawn or the tallgrass?

I've highlighted the items since they get so dark as drops.

EDIT
Here's a slightly milder version:

My computer can't use resource packs that are 256x and above.
It's 64x. I've updated the post so it shows more than just in the tags.
Things so far i made:
Background (panorama)
Font
And a suggestion: Can you make a different breaking animation? It's to cartoon-ish and dark. Or just put a little bit of shading in it.
