I do the same thing. I make the polls because I except to be agreed with then it doesn't happen and I just pretend to forget the polls.
I don't expect people to agree with me. I like it when they do. The only reason I post the poll is to help me decide when I'm conflicted. In this case, I got over my conflict on my own and it just happened to contradict what the poll said.
Here's the textures for yesterday that I didn't make a new post for since I didn't want to bump the thread without anyone replying first:
The new trading GUI that I made a day or so ago. Special thanks to Fire_Fist for telling me what was wrong with the original so I could fix it.
And here's my offering for today:
Only the Emerald Ore is really 'new', but I don't think I'd posted the ores in this pack yet so there you are. Also, the block below the coal ore is the snowflake obsidian that I so love.
As always critiques, constructive criticism, and suggestions are welcome.
*Obsidian removed, and redstone ore added, in the new version of this pic. Sorry for any confusion this caused anyone.
I think the emerald and diamond ores, and then the diamond and lapis blocks, look like shaped colored noise, but I'm so used to 32x and higher packs now I'm probably imagining it.

The diamond ore and block are both designed to emulate the refractive properties of a real diamond. If you look closely at the diamond block, you'll notice there's a distinct pattern to it so it's not just noise.
The emerald ore has highlights that are, perhaps, a tad sharp. I'll see about toning those down a bit.
As for the Lapis block... you might be right about that one. Any suggestions on what sort of pattern or shape I should impose on it??

Nice. I just rechecked this thread and I gotta say other than the disturbing blue villager GUI that this is really getting pretty sweet! And I noticed that you said there was obsidian under the coal ore, but in the picture there wasn't any obsidian.

There was in the origional version. I changed pictures after computersrule pointed out that I forgot the redstone ore.
I'll go add a note about that right now to avoid future confusion.
New preview pics coming back tomorrow... I hope.
Wait... what about the villager GUI was disturbing? I mean, besides the villagers.

I meant that the smiling and odd blue villager stares up at you whenever you are trading with it...like it's taking your money so it can dominate the world while no one notices it due to the comical, smiling, blue, rectangular face...

Oh, yea, that's what I was going for. Political statement on how villagers are getting too much attention and improvements in Minecraft. You totally understand. Props.
Angry wolf has big, red lips covered with lipstick!
I was trying to make it look like it was snarling and its gums were showing. It's hard to do with only three pixels. I'll probably refine it later. Any suggestions?

I'm glad to see you now understand why my attempt at making hellhounds had buck teeth.
And if you want have them in view of the camera just find a pack of them and have them follow you...
I dislike wolves now... My tamed ones I like, having 20 wild wolves teleporting after me is not how I expect to sneak up on skeletons.

I understand what you mean though. I would say "Know when to listen, and when not to."

Edit: Fixed!
Also, to answer the question you PM'ed me regarding this pack, sure.
Groovy.

Nope can't think of any patterns.

Also, I'll try.
Sorry this is a few days late. Have had tons of non-Minecraft related work to do. Here's wolves:
I'm a big fan of huskies and corgies. Corgies are too small to be minecraft wolves, so huskies it is!
On a related note, wolves do NOT like to stand still in front of the camera.
Nice pack though.
Thank you.
