Fuzzles, that Iron ore looks very un...iron...y. Unirony. Yes.
And that snow is horrible. Mostly because the color difference from white to bright cyan.(Hint: Why I used a desaturated palette)
I've seen greenish-sorta iron. xD And yeah, I know the snow is horrible. There was just an empty space on my image and it bothered me so I threw together snow and stuck it on there. xD

More than one Ghost, More than one.
I'm gonna give yours a try, since from
what I see, you do have some good colours, though
you are slightly lacking in the Wool Colour Department

Yeah... I noticed that as well. I was just trying to give myself enough colors while still retaining enough shades of each to make good textures. Which, since I haven't done much palette work before, is quite a challenge for me.
Very nice tutorial, but it would appear that in the tutorial there is a bit less of the diagonal/ checkerboard dithering, and more of a square type dithering that gives it a more cartoony appeal.
Anyone can give me any help with this? Should I just go with basic colours for all of the wool textures then change them a bit so they will work with everything else?
Uh well I wish I could help, but I am about as inexperienced at palettes as it gets. I say you should just choose the colors you think you will need and make however many shades you want, while staying in the limit. Yes you will probably have to change it as you go, like I did, but that's alright, just as long as it looks good.
Oooh, I like it! Especially those stone bricks, very nice. I'm just not too sure about the sand or cobble, it would be nice if you could show more screenshots of those. The cobble's shape just looks odd.

Thanks, mossy stone bricks are my personal favorite, too
I've also made more progress on the actual textures ( which caused the palette change) but I'm going to wait to show them.

It's alright. I don't really like the shading or all that dithering very much though. It just looks odd, but I guess that is just me.
Tadaaaa!
This tutorial inspired me
