I may, If I get the time, Try my hand at this challenge.
Why was I not made aware of this....
Instructions for any sky color you want:
1: Create an image that has the dimensions of 256x256
2: Make it whatever color(s) you wish.
3: Save it, and name it skycolor0
4: Put it into the "misc" folder in your texture pack.
5: ???
6: Profit.
NOTES: you need to patch your game with MCpatcher, as this is not a normal feature.
Also, the skycolor0 file is like grasscolor.png, in that it has different shades depending on the biome.
Nice like rice. White rice. Anyway, here's what I did today. Almost done with the top-left quarter of the terrain.png! Sorry, kind of messed up the order of the textures just to crop the picture, so everything is out of place.
I can push out textures a lot faster when I don't have to go looking for a perfect color for everything. Working with limitations is good practice for working without them. Plus, I brainstorm when I'm not at my laptop so that I don't have to think much when I actually start texturing.
The sky is gray in game, if that is what you want to know. I did not edit the screenshot afterwards to have gray sky.

My wip 32x texture pack.
Sorry, the vote was 6, maybe another time.
Any tips on the stone? I don't really like it as it is right now.
(Haven't done dirt yet)
So for you the dispenser is my profile picture? Weird. For me it still shows up as the little yellow guy.
EDIT: Oh, It has updated and now shows the correct avatar.
What do you think? (And yes, I realize that they cannot be seen through)
Yes, but the shades have to be the same.
Okay, cool.
We all have weird hobbies... Maybe this is his.

Peyton's weird hobby is making texture pack challenges.
