I was wondering whether or not you guys like the grass. I'm not too sure whether or not I like it myself, but I don't know how else I should make it. Leave a comment below stating whether or not you like it, and some advice on how I could change it. Constructive criticism is ALWAYS appreciated!
EDIT: Advice on both tall grass and grass texture would be nice.
I know that the transition from the side of the block to the actual grass isn't that great, but I'm not sure how to transition them without changing the entire color of the block. Any help?
It's a little thin. That could be because it's so high?
Consider the name- tall grass. it's not bent-over grass, just grass that grew taller than the flat of the block, somehow. Imagine the top third or quarter of the block being the grass itself- you can step into. That grass, rationally, would be about to your hips. That's some tall grass. XD

Because potatoes have never been something so valued to mankind.

Wait, is he talking about the grass texture or the actual tall grass?
I'm confused now xD

Lol! Thanks for the advice! I was talking about the regular grass though. Any help with those would be appreciated even more! XD
I agree that the grass texture could use more contrast. I like the tall grass personally. Mostly I dislike the color choice. The grass seems to be an unnatural color, and is a bit too dark compared to the pale dirt.
Well, to give you an idea... Here's what my grass looks like atm (I'm making a pack too :tongue.gif:):
See how the edges aren't regular -- they're rather erratic (somewhat) which makes it look much nicer, imo. Unless you're going for a cartoon look. Also, note the lighter colours and amount of contrast... have a go, experiment!
And yeah, my tall grass needs to match the rest of it as contrast and colours go... I'll have to work something out for that...

Lol ok yeah I thought so :tongue.gif:
Yeah, a bit more contrast, and maybe add some highlights? Is this 32x or 64x?
A highlight is where you put a lighter color...I'm not really sure how to explain it lol hold on I'll link you to a tutorial :smile.gif:
EDIT: Here's a good pixel art tutorial:

That type of grass is not the kind your'e looking for, but he uses really good highlights. Also http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/488695-guide-to-texturing-for-32x/ shows a bit how to use highlights, though there's nothing there on grass :tongue.gif:
Haha, the tall grass. It looks too tall, imo.
