Hello! After almost one year i'm OFFICIALLY dropping this. It's a work nobody liked, and after some time, I didn't as well. Will I quit doing resource packs? No. I'm going to do a new resource pack called "Contempo", it looks great right now and it will feature this resource pack's UI. I hope you enjoy the new one and let this older die. Without further of do,

Announcement threads are pretty pointless. You have nothing to show, nothing to download, and barely even a hint as to what the final product will be. You really should wait until you have a complete pack before making a thread.
Art is a visual medium. Show don't tell.
Even with that aside, this forum has rules. If you don't have a pack for download, you should have posted this in WIP Resource Packs. Also, you are required to post pictures or video on thread in this section. Please read the forum rules before further posting. OK? Not trying to tell you how to lead your life, I just don't want you to get in trouble.

Right now im uploading the Beta 1 to MediaFire so it will be available in few minutes. I had some trouble with the pack.mcmeta but it is already fixed. Im working on the other blocks right now. Im posting some pics soon.

Already posted pics and a download. Thanks for the advice!
It does actually look pretty well, but don't bump it that much. And then change the name, a texture pack called "VTheBeast Recourse Pack" doesn't really look like a pack that could be nice. Name it something cool and then put something extra to make it look more attracting. Just keep on going and you will have a great pack by the end of the month, and maybe a relatively popular pack by the summer.
+1
I was going to put VTheBeast's Simple RP but I had to change the text in the pics and all that and I said "Nah, Still got lot to do with the textures". But thanks for the advice! Maybe when it's finished I'll change the name. Also thanks for the support!
Right now you need to work on that shading. Light bounces off objects into our eyes. Where there is no to little light hitting an object, there is a shadow. See how light interacts with objects, and try to incorporate light and shadow into your work.
Also, it's generally better to not reuse the same texture, but recoloured, for different blocks. Right now, I can see at least 3 blocks with the same, recoloured texture. Different materials feel and look different to each other.
Also, avoid completely bucket filling areas, like you did with grass. Grass is made of many tiny leaves. It's not entirely flat. Right now, if you hadn't shown me the grass in minecraft, and just showed me the texture in a 3x3 layout, I don't think I would be able to tell if it's grass.

The grass is flat because the principal idea I had for the pack was a flat simple texture. I already finished Beta 5, and I hope I have fixed the shadow part.

Even so, there should be some recognizable feature to tell me that it's grass.
Bucket Fill Packs Other names include: simple pack, smooth pack, cartoony pack, flat pack, OCD pack, etc.
If you were going to make a resource pack that is just 1-2 colors smudged across the entire texture, stop right now. These take no effort to make and are often accompanied by an adf.ly link, which is why these are generally disliked by the MCF community. These kind of packs are usually done in MS Paint with the bucket fill tool, which is where the name "bucket fill pack" comes from. Clarification: A bucket fill pack is not "smooth" or "simple" in any way. For a true representation of a simple/smooth pack, feel free to check out Steelfeathers's Dandelion or Plenty_of_fish's Nemo.
Myth:Making a simple bucket-fill pack is OK for your first texture pack.
This is only partially false. Making a simple pack is a good way to familiarize yourself with how minecraft textures work and were they are place. However, unless it is amazing or you want feedback on how to make it better, don't bother posting it.
This will not only annoy everyone, you will also receive a large amount of borderline flame posts from the community. Simple bucket-fill packs have been done to death. When you make a pack it is best to try to do something that hasn't been done before. Either an idea that had been attempted but not well, or something completely revolutionary.
Myth:Making a simple pack is easy.
This is one of the most common misconceptions I run across. It also can't be more wrong. Making a good simple pack that will not get you laughed out of the community is probably one of the most difficult things to do. Examples like Doll House and Puffy lines are a paragon of what a simple pack SHOULD be. However, if you find yourself wanting to name your thread Simplepack. RUN AWAY!
There are well over 16k packs EXACTLY like this one, and those are just ones with 'simple' in the title. Please don't add to the count.
Dang, you really crank these out, giving me the idea that this is a bucket fill pack. We don't need any more of those, one called oCd is good enough.
Actually, many people are against it, but other are in favor. Right now many modern designs are flat or basically "bucket filled". Apple's iOS 7 can be called "Bucket Filled" because it has really easy to make design of the OS. But people didn't just like it, they loved it. It was a complete success. Even though I will keep with my simplicity idea, I will try to include more colors on the texture. And BTW, i don't use MS Paint (I don't even have a PC), I use Adobe Fireworks CS6, and I have 1 year using it so far.

1. There is really no point in making yet another simple pack because it will get badly criticized and then disregarded with the rest of the (like Taiine said) 16k other packs.
2. Your reference to iOS7 is completely irrelevant. iOS7 might be simplistic but the icons are not easy to make and almost all the icons do have some sort of shading.
3. If you using Adobe Fireworks you should be able to do much better things than a simplistic texture pack.

IOS7 is supposed to be simplistic; it's an os. It should be simple and easy to navigate. In addition, it has some style choices that make it appealing.
A texture pack however, is different than a texture pack. It is an artistic representation of minecraft blocks. Each minecraft block is different, and represent different things. This difference is good to show in a texture pack.
And a texture pack can be simple, but have interesting colors and shading. Just look at Hazelwood.

A word about texturepacks
Some basic things to consider before you start making your resource pack
