Ok, so I am making a texture pack....from scratch! This texture pack is supposed to be as realistic as possible, so if you have any suggestions, please tell me!

Ehh, it just looks like you raided Google Images and just plopped textures in. This is especially evident with your guns where you didn't erase the white background properly =p
Also all of the blocks tile funny, and some are different resolutions from each other, and others are too high resolution and create an unpleasant effect where they distort because of crazy pixel density.
Also, it took me a second to realize that in the 6th picture that you were looking through a door, it just looks like a wood board you punched a hole through =/
Realistic packs don't mean that you just get pictures from real life and slap them on, in fact it means the exact opposite and you should spend a lot of time on making the textures look natural and tile properly, otherwise things just look like a mess.

Based on the white space around the outside, presumable from anti-aliasing, I assume the rifle and stick to be from Google images, which I recommend against. The realistic textures I hope aren't a similar story. That aside, the cobblestone has a nice rough feel that fits what it is, but the dirt, wooden door and stone, while their textures are hypothetically nice, don't look good in such a small space, and creating an unappealing illusion of swirved lines. I think it could use some pattern and use of the current textures to make it represent the blocks. The mineral blocks look very nice, but why are they in a resolution of 16px by 16px when everything else is seemingly in 256px by 256px or 512px by 512px?

One thing, the door is supposed to look like that
Secondly, I did NOT take the gun off of google images
Lastly, I spent 3 months on this texture pack, tweaking and adjusting, so mind your own criticism!

Thanks, but as i said before, I DID NOT use google images, thank you very much. Its also incomplete, and i decided that the mineral block textures are what i decided as realistic. Everything doesn't have to be 256px by 256px. Thanks anyways

Just because you've worked 3 months on a pack does not mean you won't receive criticism. As soon as you post your texture pack, expect criticism. I've worked on my pack for well over a year, and I still receive criticism, and I take their considerations into mind when I change textures.

I just noticed that, currently, 2/3 of the people that posted on my discussion are sectional moderators. That could be good or bad. Let's hope it just means that my texture pack is going to be very popular, and not that my texture is illegal

Thanks, but no thanks - I know that you (as a people, not an indivudual), are just providing help and answers - The only reason that I'm a little ticked off is because that my texture pack has only been up for around an hour and I am already being stalked by two sectional moderators

Haha, it just happened that way by pure coincidence. You'll see both of us lurk these parts and at times give feedback on new texture packs. Don't worry, you aren't in any trouble or anything like that, we were just pitching in our 2 cents =)

Slight question - How do you make a texture pack for pocket edition?

Its a slab, for one thing, but I will take your suggestion

Thanks alot - I appreciate the explanation!
Before applying a texture pack here learn some decent ways of excusing images from a background and most importantly how to make seamless tiles
EDIT: Im sry to tell you but the fact that moderators post on your thread in this case means your doing a very bad job
