This is a remixed resource pack intended for a medieval / fantasy theme.
Since I find most wool and carpet textures to be unused this pack customizes most of them with a unique set of textures. This is great for people that would like to add variety to their world without having to install 3rd party mods for additional blocks.
If you are new to this pack I would recommend viewing this detailed album for a full overview. http://imgur.com/a/Nxpdt
Texture Pack Credits
Mod's if you need proof of permissions, I have a full set of links and screenshots showing PMs, and all releated legal info. If needed please PM me.
This texture pack is a remix of the following texture packs and would not be possible without all of the original authors and the permissions they have granted me.
Since Ovo's Redemption is now an open project I have tried to track down each individual author. the list of those that I am borrowing textures from is as follows.
Lastly thanks to my friends. First to Sersay for helping with the 1.6.x update. She created many of the new blood textures as well as modified the coloring on many other textures to better match the pack.
Secondly to my buddy Arglaar for creating the original .cmd file for me which I based all future updates on. Note: the .cmd file is currently no longer used.
If I have missed crediting anyone for the work they have done please let me know and I will add you.None of the artwork here was created or owned by me, however I have done a number of modifications to the textures and created many additional CTM files.
I have gone through great lengths to contact the authors, ask for permissions, and respect the rules they have for redistributing these works. If you want to redistribute anything in this pack please do not ask me, look up and ask the original authors as I have.
#4 Run Minecraft
Enable both Guruth's Graphics Pack 7.1 and Misa's pack. Make sure Guruth's Pack is listed above Misa's pack as shown in this image. http://i.imgur.com/Og41jI5.jpg
#5 Optional
Open Guruth's Graphics Pack and navigate to the folder Guruth's Graphics Pack 7.1.zip\Optional Files.
Drag and drop the file wool_colored_brown.properties into Misa.zip\assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\ctm\flora_wood.
This will enable additional connected textures when using my pack and will not conflict with Misa's pack when used on its own.
A sample of sounds included in this pack can be seen here.
Virtually all source files for these sounds are available freely through means of old abandoned software, mod packs from various games, or through current "free to play" games.
I did not create, nor do I own any of the sounds I have included in this pack. However I have spent about 20+ hours now sampling and remixing these sounds for this pack and I hope that you all will like them.
The biggest change to this version is the large number of sounds that I have added
2 new "carpets" have been added (blue and orange).
Ravand has granted me permission to use his cobblestone texture so it has replaced Misa's stone brick as the black wool.
I touched up some bad pixels and recolored the blood textures to be more consistent with each other.
The last remaining default wool block now has a custom "log cabin" corner texture.
Guruth-Pack_6.1-1.6.1 (7-3-2013)
Important for anyone that used my previous 1.5.x packs
Due to the way CTM data for textures was handled on the wool blocks and carpets I had to reorganize a few of the old custom wool blocks in the new package. If you built previously with my pack you may now need to swap some blocks around to correct things. I think the additions I made to the pack that required this change are well worth the trouble though.
In the last couple days I believe I have fixed any remaining bugs in the pack, added a ton of new features, tweaked / reworked and recolored many textures, and can say the pack is more or less complete in its current state.
The only likely things I have planned to improve or change are improving the crafting table, improving the broken cobblestone / blood textures and maybe in time finding a neat texture I can use in the last reserved wool spots I have.
Guruth-Pack_6.0-1.6.1 (7-2-2013)
Obviously a major update with this version.
Misa has included a great number of new additions with her pack which are of course included in this pack.
In general I have cleaned up the pack and reworked Ovo's CTM files which should all be functional now.
A number of new textures have been swapped in to replace wool textures such as the "intestine" "slime/mold" and one of misas "brick" textures. I have also added Ovo's carrot's and potato plants and the newer wheat texture that is available in that pack.
Since wool textures are used for many custom specialty blocks I will be making CTM files for various carpet textures.
Guruth-Pack_5.37-1.5.1 (5-3-2013)
Major changes have been made to the wood textures in general. More are now borrowed from Misa's texture pack. I originally had the wood types scrambled a bit, but they now match Misa's structure.
If you built with my previous packs many of your wood blocks may need to be replaced to match the original look. (this type of change should probably not happen again in the future, it was a mistake on my part to mix some of the wood types initially)Misc changes includeOvo_Vine removed due to crashes I was experiencing.Torches changed to Ovo's versionMany ore types switched to Misa's textures.
Guruth-Pack_5.35-1.5.1 (4-24-2013)
Changed texture of cloth_11.png
Removed Items folder from my supplemental zip (part of Misa's download already).
Having followed the steps three times, I've yet to be able to use the texture pack. It defaults to (well...) default. I have Optifine installed and have tried both MCPatcher and Optifine to no avail.
I use the John Smith texture pack without a hitch. I'd like to use your path as an alternative "a bit more bright and cheery". There are very few of the brighter texture packs that I like as much as the one you've managed to piece together.
All too often, as Jassycays brought up, there seems to be mixed signals sent by an otherwise great texture pack. Yours sends no such signals. You seem to have hand selected each texture carefully in order to do so.
I think most likely the files were re zipped incorrectly. When you open the finished .zip file you should immediately see about 10 folders and numerous files. If you see a folder named Guruth-5.33a first then it is incorrect.
In my video around 6:50 you can see the process of selecting the files to be zipped.
Let me know if this helps, it is an easy mistake to make and one I have made many times in the past when not paying attention. I think it has the result of going to the default textures as you describe.
And yes, this texture pack has been something I have been tweaking since beta and put a great deal of time into. I am always making changes to it, but in it's current state I am pretty happy with it. I decided to release it since I have been planing to release my world save which can now be found here if anyone is interested
There are a couple of textures I still need to rework such as the redstone ore and a couple of the food crates (the eggs and potatoes don't look very good), but I will fix them in time and upload newer versions.

That wasn't the mistake, also yes it is a common one and I have made it once or twice - its the first thing I look for.
If you do that the texture pack is grayed out in the selection screen (I know that from some experience from editing a few texture packs myself). It causes nothing to occur. The selection is unselectable.
Ah, sorry xTchael, I am not sure what else might be wrong.
I'm in the process of uploading a new video and cleaning up my first post. A friend just helped me with a batch file that automates almost the entire process. It will make future versions much easier for myself to manage, and much easier for everyone else here to use the pack
Bleh. I'll try to track down the culprit. If I find it I'll let you know what is wrong.
I think it may be me unzipping with 7Zip and the original .rar (Misa's) becoming corrupted on a few files (7zip gives an error for 204~ files compression when I unzip her texture pack). So I'll download WinRar to unzip Misa's texture pack with that and see if that fixes my issue.'
E:
Wasnt that, but I wrote a Python script to do the file deletions and the merging and now it works...
Sorry for the bump, but I have found an issue with some of the CTM files in the current package that may be causing game crashes.
With my game and mod configuration /ctm/Ovo_vine has been causing consistent game crashes (every 10 minutes or so). Specifically this error java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1
I would recommend removing the folder if you are having issues. Doing this seems to have completely eliminated my crash issues.
Also to be safe you may want to remove /ctm/Ovo_workbench_sides as I still can not seem to get it to work. If someone knows how to fix that please let me know.
I should also note the next version I release will change a number of wood textures dramatically. This was done to suit my own world build, but if you are using this package for your own projects I thought I would make people aware of it.
Sorry but what about making a Installer for Linux - or simpler - upload the ready Texure Pack zip file...
Read Misas legal documentation. There are a great number of files in the pack that are NOT allowed to be redistributed so I have no choice other then having people download her entire pack as a base.
I have gone through a tremendous amount of trouble getting all the proper permissions required for this remix and sorting through and organizing every file to keep my redistribution "legal".
If you do not wish to, or can not use the .cmd file, it is nothing more then a renamed .txt file. You can open and examine it in any text editor, the functions it performs are pretty self explanatory and can be performed manually.
This is very nice, I'm looking forward to trying it. Is there an option to change the texture size of this release to anything but x64? My computer isn't very powerful and I find I have to use lower-res texture packs to maintain a decent FPS.
Hey Guruth,
So I'm currently going through the cmd script by hand since I'm on a mac and I noticed a slight oddity in it, now I have zero idea how programming or anything works so everything might be in order and I'm just silly
del /f Misa500\ctm\craft_utility\ladder.properties
?? => del /f /a:ash Misa500\ctm\craft_utility\Thumbs.db
del /f Misa500\ctm\craft_utility\workbench_front.properties
Is that intentional or accidental?
And part two, I can't figure out how to combine them after deleting the selected files in Misa500

Yeah, it is intentional. I actually had not noticed that myself, but my friend that made the original .cmd for me says it is because Thumbs.db is a hidden file.
"attributes: Archive. System, Hidden.
There's a Thumbs.db file in there that doesn't need to be there so I was deleting it."
And part two, I can't figure out how to combine them after deleting the selected files in Misa500
After everything is done with Misa's original files, you can copy my supplemental files into her pack overwriting anything that conflicts and you should be set.

Thanks
Sorry, I don't have anything at a lower res myself since the texture pack is purely a remix, and I am not aware of any lower res textures available from the original authors.
I'm on a mac, and I have no idea how I am supposed to run the .cmd file. I won't open and goodle won't give me answers. Anyone who have used this on a mac that can help me? Isn't it possible to create the merged packs and just send it over?
I know it is an inconvenience for some, but many of Misa's files are not allowed to be redistributed.
A lot of people use this pack and I do not want to break the rules and run the risk of all the work I have here being removed.
I don't know much about macs but I am pretty sure they cant run the .cmd file, but you should have some way to view the contents with a text editor and follow the instructions contained in the .cmd file. They are really pretty straight forward, just a series of file deletions, renaming, copying and reorganization.
When I have time I will talk to Misa again and see if she might host a stripped down version of her pack that you can simply drag and drop my additional files into and not have to worry about the .cmd process.
