Do you have any awesome minecraft creations? I would love it if you took some screenshots of them with my pack and posted them here so I can replace my boring screenshots.
This pack is 16x16 (same as the default textures). In order to use it drag the .zip folder into your texture packs folder and then select it in minecraft.
Do not use or distribute any of these textures in your own pack without my permission. You are free to use these textures and change them however you want for personal use, though.
Give me a diamond and maybe even a sub on PMC here!
My dream for Dead Roses is for it to be a good post apocalyptic alternate to Red Roses that won't make your survival world look really odd because blocks are made to look like things they aren't. However I wanted to see if I should make the wools look like post apocalypse wool or various building materials like computers and machinery.
Dead Roses is the post apocalyptic version of Red Roses. It is not yet complete or ready for download.
Here is the progress on the pack:
I am using regular Red Roses as a template and it is resized to 800%

You're just FULL of textures, aren't you? :3
Everything looks very nice, especially the Bacon.
Though your Purple Soul Sand could work better for
the Obsidian texture

Thanks! I will probably change the soul sand as well, It doesn't really fit in with the rest of the nether very well.
Woah O.0 I saw this without looking at the post count, and I expected it to be one of those packs with 48 pages... But to see a pack like this at an early stage of developement?
I really like the amount of dithering in all your textures, it's perfect! The emerald block is a prime example of the use of shading and dithering in your pack that look simply amazing! Well done!
(I'm sure someone will call that pillow shading, but to that, I say that pillow shading clearly isn't always a bad thing)

Yeah I've been just waiting until someone calls me out for pillow shading... But thanks!

Honestly, it looks like you found one way of shading it, and stuck to it like gum to a bus seat. But this isn't necessarily a good thing.
Everything kind of looks like it were made of the same material. There needs to be more variety in some of the textures. Things like the water and leaves not really appearing like such are good examples. Not to say that the pack is sub par, quite the contrary, it's pretty decent. But it needs some work for it to reallyshine. Good luck, man.
Edit: I think I've nailed down what the issue I have with this pack. You have trouble making things flat. Try beveling for some things.
Kind of like this, of course with some more texture added in to it.

Thanks for the advice, I actually do a lot of different types of texturing and shading, but for this pack I tried to stick to a similar theme. Earlier in the pack's creation it was all over the place and nothing really made the pack seem coherent and that was a major issue for me. For sake of being unique and having a common theme I stuck to this shading style, but I see what you mean and will work on it. Thanks for the advice!

Also I would really like to have a lava animation, but when I tried to make one it was a major failure. If anyone would be kind enough to help me out I would sure appreciate it.

While I liked the original leaves you had, this version has a less bulbulous style to it, and looks more like actual leaves.
Well, I saw and voted in the poll, but I didn't check the poll info in the post, and that clean version, at least the style in the dirt seems... Overused... I'm pretty sure I saw that style in quite a few other packs. So I'd definitely prefer to see the post-apocalyptic spin-off from this!
As for that pumpkin though, the edges around the carvings should have some shading, dark on the bottom and light on top, so it is more recognizable as carvings, and that way they will be more noticeable on the jack'o'lantern, that yellow blends in to the pumpkin a bit too much in my opinion.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.

Damn hobo-shrooms....
Hm, I've never made that connection before, but everyone interprets it differently. That is part of the beauty!
