This is Mixed nuts "Golden Platter" Edition, my sixth texture pack, a re-creation of my texture pack "Mixed Nuts". The old pack is still here, known as mixed nuts classic. It was re-made because it needed a more distinct style and a pallete, and I fixed it both.
I am making a big comeback this summer with my "reMIXED Nuts" Update.
Hello! this is my fifth texture pack, and my first pack that is not an abomination. Im not gonna blab for too long, so im just gonna show you the pics. Please note, some of them are outdated. Please note, Wheat glows in rainbow colors when it is at its full stage!Created by Tekelasapeni.Created by Articray.Created by MEEEEWoo finally got items done =D
Are you convinced that this is a good pack? If so, here is the download link.
Gold: A strict level of security. Having this on your pack indicates that your textures can only be used after written permission is obtained from the creator of the pack. It also indicates that adfly links on remixes are never acceptable, under any circumstances. So keep your grummy hands off unless you say pretty please.thank you for your time. now POOAAST.
Here is kinda my review for this texture pack. (See what I did there? :P)
I really like this pack, the colors are nice, and it has a just all around good feel to it. There are only a few things that I do not like. The ores do not stand out enough, and they are hard to notice in caves. The long grass is hard to notice against the normal grass. The breaking animation is really confusing. Lastly, the planks have nice colors in them but they are too high contrast.
But here are some positive things about this pack. The colors are magnificent. There is just enough shading in everything to make it look great. The gravel actually is really nice, unlike in a lot of packs. And I normally do not notice the piston head in texture packs, but the almost swirly look to it was awesome.
Overall, 9.5/10, one of my new favorite packs.

The official Bluebird continuation is underway! Please come and help keep the pack alive!
I like how you used the colours to make this pack, not too simple but also without having too much colours.
However fire texture seems to not work, cobble looks too simple compared to stone and the planks have too much contrast.
Great job though
Are you planing on eventually making the tools, icons, items and armor? That would be great.
Lol disco wheat
Im planning on making everything in this texture pack. im gonna start on 1.3 stuff and than the items.png.
And since your all nice people, here is a scepter. Your welcome.

I hope this does not get out of hand
Im most likely gonna change the grass to a more bushy like thing, so no worries on that. The breaking animation was supposed to be kind of like noise because thats what I thought breaking should be, but it may be changed. I was expecting to get bashed on the wooden planks, because in texturing wooden planks are my nemesis, and my nemesis is even stronger in 8x8 muhahahahaha. The ores are supposed to go with the stone pattern, but I may make each peice of ore bigger by one pixel so they are all 2x2, and thanks on the rating. thats the highest rating I have ever got on my pack, my other ones are ****

Hello Cactii, remember me ;). Well you may or may not know I <3 low res packs. When I actually get a chance to look at the texture pack forum I pretty much just scan through the first few pages looking for new low res packs. Needless to say, I came across yours. I downloaded it and I think you've got a really nice low res pack here, but I wanted to give you some feedback.
First, I think you've made really nice color choices for the most part. Color is very subjective so I typically don't like saying this or that color is off since it's your aesthetic choice but I'm not a huge fan of the color of the obsidian or water. Other than that truly beautiful colors. My favorite textures are the stone and the trees I wouldn't change anything about them. I also like the more simplified textures like the cobble and grass; however, I feel that the cobble doesn't quite fit with the rest of the textures. Perhaps it is too simple compared to the rest? On a similar note, I think the leaves are too complex (or more realistic) and they also don't feel quite right with the rest of the textures. The only other thing I would suggest is toning down the contrast in your blocks. The shadows and highlights are extreme making them a bit overwhelming to look at. I think you'll notice a world of difference if you done the contrast down a bit. Well there ya go, take it or leave it. Either way, I'm glad to see another quality low res pack pop up.

Heh, I love low resolution texture packs too.
Ok, down to the re view part. I kind of wanted purpleish obsidian because of the "bright happy" theme, but I kind of see what you mean. it may be toned down a bit. The leaves are supposed to have a slightly realistic dithered look because if leaves arent so contrasted in 8x8 they will look flat. it may be changed if I have a better leaf idea, and the reason for cobblestone being a normal shaded square is because cobble is such a basic build material, you just get it for breaking stone, and cobble is basic so I thought it was kind of fitting to have it as that texture (hard to explain ; im probably making myself sound dumb) And to the contrast thing, Most textures are gonna keep the contrast level but some textures are gonna be overhauled (wood planks are definately one of those.)
Thanks for your review, I kind of look up to your dot sized texture pack with how much it has a unique style and feel.
Moar tools.
Diamond sword is rainbowy, All the wood items are gonna be leafy, and all the gold items will be different types of scepters.

I do think the obsidian fits with the pack I'm just not used to seeing obsidian that color, but it definately gives your pack your own style just like the contrast. I used to argue with my photo professor about my contrast level. He'd say lower it, but it never felt right when I did it his way lol, and here I am now saying you should lower yours. The high contrast is part of your style, and you seem to be as stubborn as me, but it never hurts to play around with textures and/ or create alternates. Also, I see what you mean about the cobble, I just happened to be on my server that has plain cobble roads, and I think it threw me. Thank you for the compliment on Dot Sized. 8x truly is my texture zone and I think it might be yours too!
The new tools look awesome btw. Oh, and I can't remember if I said this before, but very nice job on the banner for the pack. I am just really happy to see a new good unique 8x pop up. Maybe you should put it on pmc, but PMC sort of makes me crazy I saw a bucket fill 8x with a few hundred downloads (facepalm) buutttt I won't get into it lol. Anyhoo, I can't wait to see more of this awesome pack.
Edit: I'm on my iPad, so I changed it a bit to clarify my thoughts, and look less insane lol.
