Too neat for a tile dump, and it clashes terribly with nature.
I quite like it actually.
Also, I apologize if its been asked, or if you've attempted it and failed because imgur/MC Forums/your computer/the Internet/the universe was being annoying, but could you post pics of ores and storage blocks in a row, armors in inventory, and armor on player in the OP? Also paintings. Would love to see their variations.
And finally, I don't know if you've done cobwebs yet (haven't downloaded yet), but seeing as they come out of robot things, shouldn't they look like barbed wire or something?
Amazing texture pack. One of the best (and creepiest) I've seen in a while.

Paintings are the one thing that isn't done yet (well, aside from the 1.7 stuff) They're next on the list once i get the update out, and when i finish them the pack will be 100% textured. Not 100% complete of course, i want to go back and overhaul some of my old textures, but nothing will be vanilla anymore.
Anyway, i have done cobwebs. Most of my mobs actually aren't robots. Spiders are certainly not. In my pack, spiders are harvestmen. Webs are still pretty nonsensical though, considering harvestmen don't produce silk, but perhaps these ones are mutants.
Anyway, here are the ore/storage blocks. Remember how i said i plan to overhaul some of the older textures? These were some of the first ones i did when i started the pack.
From left to right: Gold, iron, coal, lapis, diamond, emerald, quartz.
Emerald and quartz are the only ones that are keepers. Everything else will be redone eventually, since they're awful and terribly outdated. The stone will be redone as well.
Here's the cobweb:
I might redo that as well and in much higher resolution than the rest of the pack and using ctm to give it a thinner look.

The spider webs don't come from robots. In fact the spiders that are spiders can't spin webs at all so it makes it MYSTERIOUS. As for stone based textures they are likely to be redone so not much point in putting them up.
Well, i finally found a mesa rock type that i can live with. It's not perfect, but at least i think it looks rather like rocky clay stuff.
I used repeat ctm, 4x4 tiles... 16 tiles per color, so 112 textures for this.
Most of the colors are pretty much the same thing tinted a bit. White has a few plants sprouting out of it here and there, and red has deeper striations, but that's about it in pattern difference.
Here it is:
Like it?
And here's the top surface:
I was thinking i might add a separate texture for the tops. Something that looks like a cracked, dried out lake bed... or does it look fine this way?
Also, don't worry about the dead bushes, i realize how bad they look with the mesa rock. I will be adding assorted clumps of wispy dry grass instead. Biome specific of course. The entire mesa rock texture set is entirely biome specific. The hardened clay tiles still work as usual in all the other biomes.

The cracked texture on top would be cool, and would help the biome look hotter.
Yay, the Jupiter Mining Corporation.
I think both the red sand and the mesa rocks look astonishing! Great job with those! Sometimes a recolour is the best option.
Yep. Sand is really nothing but sqiggles and noise, so why make new sand when no one would ever know the difference anyway? New ctm however isn't a bad thing.
But it's slowly getting better, i think.
I like it so far.
Been a while since I last saw you. (I never talked to you but last time I say you was on the last days lore page)
I really like the mesa blocks as well.
I don't mean to get off-topic, but I'm in desperate need for the texture pack to update and then I'm going to get right back to work on my map!

You are right it is looking better. Maybe all it needs now is some ctm?
There are 5 different tiles there.
Maybe i'll just redo it and use repeat ctm instead of random...

It doesn't seem like the game wants it to be all too hot in mesa biomes, they're actually full of water.
But at the same time I do not think it should look as though it used to be under an ocean. Hmmmmmnnnn.......
It's 2x2 repeat ctm, since this sort of texture will usually either be really repetitive and unnaturally uniform, or just plain tile badly.
Also, i started on replacing the plants for the biome. I'll be doing a bunch of other ones as well. Clumps of grass and stuff.
Here are the individual tiles.
A red dwarf reference in there. I doubt anyone will get it, but it's mostly just for my own amusement.

Assuming i've completed it by then.
