Hello, from what I found, the following blocks are back to there old textures.
- Dirt
- Grass
- Stone
- Oak Wood
- plus no new gravel or leaves textures
Is the texture pack supposed to be like this?
That is what the pack looks like without CTM, it really does make that big of a difference in quality. You need to use the latest MCPatcher to enable CTM.
Which is highly recommended because it boosts the framerate as well.
Mojang's hd texture support is pretty shoddy, 256x packs aren't even playable because of horrendous framerate issues and custom fonts are still broken. So despite everyone being excited about the new support it really means jack for the more advanced texture packs.
I would imagine it will continue to be that way, especially since mojang doesn't even look to great mods like MCpatcher to implement mod features.
Instead they re-invent the wheel, meanwhile doing a half assed job of it and then they don't even credit the mod maker.
That's just how they roll, so I don't expect the high end packs like misa's and mine to ever really work properly without help from kahr and his Patcher.
I also expect that kahr will continue to add features that will just put it even further ahead.
Also as a side note, the CTM leaves are only available on "Fancy" setting, it seemed silly to make them for "fast" because chances are if you are playing on fast you are already having performance issues which means you shouldn't be using CTM as it literally doubles the size of the packs.
Long story short, everyone should still use MCPatcher.

Ok, thank you. I use Optifine and it's not fully updated yet so I think thats probably why. (I have used Optifine before 1.5 and it worked fine.)
Out of curiosity: As any sensible person I use adblock. Does it mean that do not I generate money for you through adfly? Because you deserve hard credit for your work.
I just started minecraft few days ago. I dl-ed mcpatcher and the 256 version of this. It worked for a while But then it crashes the game, nvidia is saying that my system does not meet the minimum spec. And now, once the world is loaded it crash straight away.
The game work fine when I just had mcpatcher. I did allocate 4gb of memory for it using a bat file
Please help
My specs are :
i7 3770k
gtx 560 ti
antec 550W
corsair 16gb ram
EDIT :
I got it working now, by place the zip file into the texturepacks and also adding it into the MCPacther.
But I am having really really bad FPS, like 10 or so with the 256 res. Is it my system being not fast enough or am I doing sth wrong? At first I had good fps when i installed the pack via MCPatcher and did not add anything into the texturepacks but it crashes
Thanks for the 1.5 update! I love this texture pack... I have it on my desktop and was going to DL it to my laptop. I clicked on your links and I got "File removed for violation". um... is this just me or are others getting that error too?

So which one is best for a person whith a 32 Bit version of Java? BTW: It looks amaizing!!!!!
I would say the best version is to just make your own out of the packs, resoultions are no longer set with 1.5, I almost considered just dropping the 32x etc names because they kinda dont apply anymore.
If you like the best quality/performance ratio, use the animations, blocks and better sky from the 64x/128x version, and then use the items from the 128x/256x version. The items are the thing that most benefit from the increased resolution, you can literally barely notice the difference of block going from 256x to 128x.
It's more about personal prefrence, hell if you don't like certain items/blocks you can even drop a texture in from another pack now, the things you can do are a lot less limited with this new format.
That being said, if you don't want to swap things in and out and deal with possible crashes it's probably best to stick with the 64x version.
Honestly I'm not sure because at this point no one should be running a 32bitOS/java, if you are, you got screwed, Computers have had a min of 8gigs of ram for about 4 years now.
Just kidding. Cool texture pack. Too high-res for my liking, though. Love the lava and water though:

- Grass
- Stone
- Oak Wood

Was just going to mention that, I think the MCPatcher unstitcher puts them backwards. I noticed it with a texture pack I unstitched as well.
Thanks I'll fix it in the next version.

Oh thanks I'll fix that in 1.5.1 keep the reports coming they are helpful, I expected a couple of things to be wrong due to the volume of changes.
Many people don't know that an activated Detector Rail has a texture now. I just though I should let you know (if you didn't already know)
