thankyou for the cake which Is teasing me being encased in diamond. It looks so delicious, but I cant eat it.
As for the update, 6 votes and its a tie. So as I seem to be affecting a very tiny amount of people I will be holding off the update till a later date, when pistons and rails are done. Thanks for those of you who have commented and tried to help me out with the pack so far.
quick progress update before I go away. I have redone or tweaked most of the ores to look more embedded and ore like. They will possibly be tweaked some more (especially lapiz)

feel free to give me some feedback on these.
These are a HUGE improvement to the previous ores. Well done! I like how you made the gold almost seem more like a little vein than a pocket, and the encasement in the ore is pretty much perfect! I'm not going to say that they are, because everything can be improved, but you definitely hit the nail on the head! Great job!
Although, I don't know how I feel about the encasement in the iron ore block. It might be because of the amount of ore that is actually there, but it just doesn't look right compared to the other ores. I might just be picky though. :wink.gif:
I would definitely replace the old ores with these though. Very nice!
Thank you, I am ever so happy with redstone and the rest. Does lapiz need changing? its growing on me, but its not perfect, perhaps a few more small pockets of it...

thankyou! this is exactly the confidence boost I need to take away with me! (yes I am taking my pc, so fingers crossed that I will get something done) also about the iron problem, It does look a bit odd compared to the others but If I explain it, you may see it like I do.
The iron is embedded on and in the rock, so some is just peaking of the end of the rock where as others you are seeing the bare iron itself in the centre. The reason I did this is cause If you look at iron ore that is what it does, just melts in with the rock. So hopefully I have achieved that cause I'm rather fond of it. If you disagree, tell me and I will no doubt have a crack at it again :smile.gif:

Lapiz is really good. Maybe a little more shine to the ore if you really wanted, but otherwise it's really good. Perfection, even. Wouldn't want to have too much there! :biggrin.gif:

I can understand what you're talking about, and I agree that it looks like it melts pretty well with the rock... but I still think it smothers the stone texture a bit. Don't change it if you feel strongly about it though, it isn't going to stop me from using the pack or anything like that. :smile.gif:

I will look into it, see If i can find a good medium between the two. Also is it just me that likes my coal? I didn't change it cause I thought it just worked... but now I look at it, perhaps there could be improvement... perhaps more square shaped and rigid edges cause it looks round at the moment..... hmmmmm.

I like coal, but if you change it I'll probably still like it.
Just curious, how do you go about making the textures for this pack?
Like, what image editor?
How do you work from start, to middle, to end? :smile.gif:
oh golly. It is hard to explain, it depends on the texture really. Some I do pixel by pixel, others I use a brush tool, but it generally goes, outlines, colours, shading, details.
First of all: Nice work, love it, really good job,
Second, I've took myself a project:
Make a blended texture pack, so i pretty sure i need to ask permission from the creatures to take their items and put them in my blended one.
So, can i take a few guis, maybe items and put them in my blended texture pack?
(I can take no as an answer)
Namro
If you correctly credit my work (link to the original pack and state correctly that you are not making the textures) and do not use adfly or donation buttons (this is to me something morally wrong to do with remix packs) then I give permission for you namro to use this in your remix pack. Be sure to PM the link if you end up posting it online.
If you think I am too strict, and do not adhere to my regulations then I will ask for the pack to be taken down. I don't mean to sound like an ass when you have been so polite either. I look forward to seeing what comes out in your remix.

Dorian
The state of 0.7
my apologies for taking so long to get this out, I may seem slack, but life and such do take priority over this pack I am afraid. I am super keen to announce my piston texture is done and I am pretty damn excited about it. Also a few more tweaks (ores, shading under dirt grass, better dirt! and perhaps a few others) are just some of the things I have been working on for you all. Thank you for your patience!
also 1200+ downloads and over 10,000 views between here and planet minecraft. Your support keeps me going with this!

I'm really excited to see those piston textures! I'm working on pistons for my new pack right, and I hope they can compare in awesomeness.

not to be arrogant, but more just excited, I think you will love them. Im currently doing the rounds of visiting family and have not had the brain power (due to *cough* drinks *cough*) to set up my pc. Tomorrow, this should happen and I may post a preview, or I may just leave it a surprise till I update :smile.gif:

Ok, it looks pretty reasonable for you to demand those, and im not going to make any profit out of work of others, you can check my signture (Or click here) for the topic post.
I will let you know when it's done :smile.gif:
Thank you very much,

EDIT: I have finished the terrain.png and all that is misssing to me is a tnt texture.
and is available for download from here http://adf.ly/2EhYj(this is an adfly link, just wait 5-10 seconds and skip the ad, do NOT click any ads) this helps support my time (and software) put towards this pack.
included (that I can remember) in 0.7 -
BIG NEWS! John Smith has given me permission to use his grass and foliage colours until I release my own, this will improve the look of the pack as you will no longer have the fluro green default grass.
Rails, Pistons, a beta breaking animation, a still water texture and Nether! Also a HUGE amount of tweaks such as Ores, Dirt, Cobblestone, Planks, Tall Grass, Ladders, Saplings and MUCH MORE!
and here are some screens to back up my ranting.
I encourage critique and screenshots to be posted as it allows me to see how this pack works for everyone and where people would like to see the pack head. Thanks for all the support guys and enjoy the 0.7a update.

OH YAY! I need feedback, cause there seems to be no one but you and me that enjoy my pack anymore. oh well, I shall just continue to keep me happy.
I am also in the process of taking some screenshots for your enchanted pack to see the differences in them :smile.gif: I will post them on your thread in a bit.
goodness, I have so much to do before I die. Damn you and your bad news :sad.gif:

I ENCOURAGE critique guys so fire away.

Its looking good for this weekend, more tweaks and rails to get done still, but I have pistons and a few tweaks done already.

gummies? is this good or bad?
and thanks for the compliments!
