Great looking pack so far, has the potential to be one of the greats!
Only thing I have a problem with is the stone, I prefer smooth stone being..well, smooth :smile.gif:. I think it looks a lot nicer, especially when building with it, but this is just a personal preference. The texture itself is still great.
Also, love those iron doors. Keep up the good work
thing about smooth stone, is its actually just stone hahah, and I know I know, I am an alpha player too, but I am try to find something that looks great in caves and builds well. It is definitely on my tweaking list, if not maybe even a new one. Cheers for the support mate.
The textures are all very cool. Love the chests especially. But...some things are almost too dark to see. I get that you want the atmosphere to be dark, but some of these may be taking that a little too far.

really, which ones in particular? Most of the terrain.png is incomplete so it is all darkened in the main picture, other than that I haven't found anything too dark yet. I would love to know if this is common for people, it being too dark that is.
I often rotate between mine (mostly when testing new stuff), Glimmar's, Croco's (CroCraft), Last Days, and Sump's Arcane Pack (not real dark...but I love it so I mentioned it still). I absolutely love the darker packs. :biggrin.gif:
Yours reminds me a bit of Croco's on a darkness scale. I have to close the blinds when using his or my pack sometimes. Even torches don't help. But I don't see anything too dark in comparison...but I R prejudiced.

HA, yes I can see what you mean, But I think people need to configure their monitors properly, makes a BIG difference. I have not used a single true black pixel that I am aware of yet, so It can't be that dark.
progress is trundling along when I get spare time. New torches and tweaked trapdoors, as well as tweaking the mossy stone to look better as well, think I may do the stone without moss as well. Keen to get a bit more done this evening if I can try and push forward, I think My next release will be 0.5 when I have the terrain sheet nearly done (fingers crossed I get it done before 1.8 hahaha.)
Hoorah, I look forward to your input. I am also dreading doing water and lava hahaha.
We'll drink flat water and lava in sympathy together. :biggrin.gif:
The ladder/rose climber is a very cool and clever idea. You know I'm all for making each element multitask and just never thought of doing something like that with the ladder.

OH I was chuffed about it, so thank you sir glimmar. I am trying to make plenty a multi-task texture block if I can.
It's looking really nice! stay away from those portaits of yourself! don't want you to die yet :wink.gif:
But seriously, as one of the bigger paintings you should put the portrait of dorian grey. have it be your avitar or something. or it could be the whole thing...

The world is an oyster. The jury is still out on whose it is. My name is in the consideration. I like that. Pearls, here I come.
On another note, I've met Chuck Norris. I'm deadly serious.

When I find time to do an avatar I shall perhaps think of using it for the pack :smile.gif: cheers for your kind words.
I have nothing to add on, it looks perfect to me so far, maybe post the terrain.png so we can have a "better" look at the blocks you have done so we can see them in a different sort of view instead of just in images. Aside from that, keep up the awesome work, I am really looking forward to this one.

Thanks mate, Yeah I will look into getting a terrain.png up with the next update, I just want a few more textures done yet. Thanks for your kind words.

No problem, I just love how it looks so far, like I said it looks like what I had been looking around for for a good while now. I use Dokucraft a lot, but I wanted a slightly more realistic RPG feel, and it seems anything over 32x texture packs like to lag me more then I do with 16x or 32x (no noticeable difference). So I hope this works out very nicely, and I shall download it when the terrain.png is done. :biggrin.gif:

Believe me, I will be checking in constantly, adding comments and criticism (positive that is :tongue.gif:) as I see fit or if I have some sort of input. :biggrin.gif:

I have been doing a few of the smaller textures like mushrooms and things, will be working on redstone torches and things as well as sandstone soon I think. Cheers again for all the positive feedback guys.
Also When I do sandstone, I will look at making an alternate 'smooth' stone texture too
I've started the video shooting...just getting footage. I'll definitely wait til you are the most comfortable with the terrain before I add your clips. It's looking really cool so far and I'm testing stuff as you update.
/eagerly awaits

I regard that as a gigantic compliment, but I will be hopefully offering something different to them both.
Thanks mate, good luck with your pack.

Cheers all for the encouraging comments so far, this is my first piece of 'digital art' ever so I'm learning as I go what works and what does not.
I also did wheat for 0.4 but I am definitely going to change that.
We'll drink flat water and lava in sympathy together. :biggrin.gif:

There is already one sir, not all the block are done yet.

Don't stress, I'm very Tempted to create an alternate, smoother stone texture for people who prefer that.
