Just a quick thought- to me, the lighting on the nether creatures looks a little... white, don't you think? Looks more like they're lit by florescent or sunlight than lava-light. Have you tried adding a little more orangey-red?
p.s.- I'm basing this observation on the screenshots in the OP, which I know have been around a while, and not my experience with the current textures, so I could be completely wrong about this.
The red fog in the nether should fix this, make sure you use MC Patcher to enable the Custom Colours!
Pale creatures would make sense though.
They're in a cave with no sunlight all the time.
The fact that they're bright white is probably because of the lighting.
MC Patcher allows custom lighting colours if the pack's author wants to fiddle around with that.
Tobiwan could take a look at Misa's realism as an example for custom lighting colours (where torch light colours are seperate to natural sunlight and moonlight)
Tobi has used the Custom Colours quite a bit in the latest version; and the torch, moon and sun light are a part of vanilla, implemented in beta 1.8ish
I like the texture pack itsjust that the amror is not making no sense pelase try and make it more logical to the texture pack cause the helmot and chest plate dont eve look like armor and the sword make it a little wider and a bit purple
everything else is great
this pack is back to being awesome like it was a year ago! (wish you would use the old brick texture for stone bricks) like this really miss the glass and wood too
So far, this is amazing. If you need anyone to make you a video, just tell me. I'll create a video showing every block, mob, item, and armor type in the game.
Tobi, I had always loved your texture pack, but I am disappointed with version 20. I'm really sorry, I know you worked hard on it, but the gravel is too dark, the stone, cobblestone, stone slabs, and stone bricks look too smooth. I liked the old ones that didn't look too smooth. The glass with the lines look weird to me, but it doesn't bother me a whole lot. I would love it if you have a alternate textures though. On the plus side, I love the cobblestone, just put some more noise into it so it doesn't look too smooth. I also love the new dirt! Again, i'm really sorry if I offended you, I know you worked really hard on it. I am looking forward to the next version though
Tobi, your texture pack is amazingly great, I so great can't put it into words, which means all of this hard work has paid off. If someone say you can't do it, you can. They just don't want to be outshined by your amazing talent! I can't wait for v21!!!

I may not always be there with you, but I'll always be there for you. <3

You still have version 1??? Wow. I don't know why you would like it better though. It had a lot of terrible textures. If you prefer some of them, all you need is GIMP to cut and paste from that version to the new one. Pretty simple thing to do if you're familiar with GIMP.
I haven't been able to really check out the update, but from what I've seen/noticed...
Cobblestone - I prefer the current style to the previous, the old looked too linear. (If that makes sense.)
Stone slab - It might just be me, but the texture seems 'flat', that and the light color reminds me of those top finishing flat gray Lego pieces.
Gravel & Water - Looks nice.
Jungle planks - Me likey! It's nice to have some variety with the broader planks.
One again, I love your work, keep it up!
Thanks Dowager. I agree with you about stone slab. It's not quite perfect. Not sure what to do with it exactly. Glad you like the jungle planks too. All I did for those was flatten out the jungle log texture; I just removed the grooves and bumps, but left the grain so that it matches style with the logs.

Thanks, glad you like it. But there have already been many videos made. I even plan on making my own tour of it once I think it's done enough.
Tobi, you should use a nostalgia version. I miss the old everything (i.e. mainly wood glass cobble and DEM TORCHEZ. from v.6, v.7)
EDIT: Or you could just give us old downloads and we'll edit the terrain and items.png to include the new items and terrain.
I think I will just provide links to the older versions for now. I've got all of them already in my dropbox. I'll try to remember to get those up on next update. I'm just not ready to provide a customizer for the pack yet.

Aw, I'm sorry you don't like some of the textures man. It doesn't offend me though. I know everyone has their own preferences, and I'm used to not being able to please everyone. I wish I could say that I agree with you and that I'll change it, but in my opinion stone should be smooth, especially in a game with no built-in mip-mapping. If everything was super grainy and gritty, the pack would be so noisy that it would give me and a lot of other people headaches. That said, if you've been following my pack for a while, you should know by now that I almost always redo the stone textures! XD So we'll see what happens.

Thanks. Now I can make that diamond greatsword I've been wanting.

Thanks for replying Tobi, and I understand Your pack had inspired me to make my own pack, and I see that it is a lot of work. Is it too much to ask to re-release your old textures? You don't have to if you are too busy. I would love to see them, because I only subscribed to you since version 13.

READ THE FIRST LINE OF THE OP.
everything else is great
I've got two weeks to get as many 1.3 textures in place as I can. O_O
Seems as if you have some catching up to do.

I love how the enchantment table looks.
To all of the above, thank you for the compliments.

Thanks. Yeah a ton of catch-up, haha, and only about a week more to do it. Must stop playing Dayz.

Thanks. Yep, I'm easing back into YouTubing.
Glad you like it.
