It's all thanks to multiple properties for one block. I have four total; two for each type, then each has one for sides and one for the top. Then it was just trial and error to get it all to line up.

Well I think when you release your update, I might use your files as a base just to figure out exactly how it works, for now I'll keep working on the easier things such as the randomized textures like the sand you just posted! (which look great btw, just make sure they have a rare chance of occurring - as in once every 100 blocks or something, otherwise it can get very overwhelming which I found out making my randomized sand)

Awesome! Personally I think you should make the weights (from left to right)
Wow! I really like these new blocks! They really match with the overall feel of the texture pack!
As for a suggestion, I always thought that when using your texture pack, the circle stone bricks felt out of place.
They don't really blend well with the other stone brick blocks in my opinion.
Aw, that's one of my favorite blocks. I use it as a gargoyle on castles or statues. But people have mentioned before that they use the block for buttons and levers, and it looks weird. Not sure what I could do about that, cause I like it the way it is.
No pictures to show off today. I did make some random bricks and stone, but it really doesn't show well in a screenshot. Tomorrow I'm thinking of making new Lapis and Diamond blocks, with some interesting CTM ideas.
Hey Levaunt, playing around with the pack yesterday I noticed that the sandstone really doesn't blend in very well when found naturally in deserts or whatever. Now that we have 2 more sandstone blocks (which could be kept as the brick-like, more decoration based ones), would it be possible to make the normal one look a bit more natural and not stand out as much from the sand? (the sandstone is a fair whack darker)
I absolutely love his sandstone. It's the 1 block i enjoy the most. Don't really think it looks out of place anywhere either. What you see in deserts is mainly just sand anywho.
Edit: Have you seen a desert village with Derivation? It's damn nice, let me tell you!
Yea, I think the villages look nice, it just looks really weird in situations like this:

I was actually very torn with this texture. As I've said before I like my blocks to look well in their natural state (i.e. glowstone), however I also like having a variety of bricks. I think I have a good solution though, MCPatcher lets you change a texture based on what blocks are near it. So I can try making a "transition" sandstone for when it's next to sand. It could be sand with some bricks or rocks sticking out of it here and there.
Hello.
First of all, I love your texture pack, it's the best I've ever seen! I would like to request some changes to the texture pack:
- Gray pig texture: I don't know why, but it just looks odd to me.
- Birch log texture I hate how plain it is, it looks more like milk.
But yeah, I enjoy using it and keep up the good work!
Thanks, big fan Limeth.
The grey pig is a Wind Waker thing. And I am actually going to update all of the log textures!
Don't fret! It will be ready for 1.4 in three days when the update is released!
Wow, that's nice. My friend started to play minecraft few days ago, and he so badly wanted your pack. You can't just imagine how sad he was when I said that it's not ready for snapshot
I probably should've posted on this thread earlier, but this is my FAVORITE texture pack.
I've been using it for months. I even watched part of your livestream (If you recall)
Just want to say keep up the good work! The pack is beautiful and inspiring.
I agree that the block is a great one, but It feels out of place next to the other stone bricks. The only thing I can imagine that could be a solution is to replace the texture of the iron block with this one. You've also done a ornamented gold block, so it wouldn't be that weird in my opinion. But then again, the iron block looks good as it is.
That's not a bad idea, but I've already started CTM for the iron block. Perhaps if I beveled the edges more it could look like it's placed on top of or inside the bricks, rather than being on the same plane?
I'm officially addicted to sticking faces on just about everything now. Keep an eye out in birch forests, very rarely you may come across a Weirwood.

God, I need to find out how to do that!
Time to go experiment with more CTM...
I bet if you counted all the textures mojang recycled they would be the most eco friendly company in the world.
Seriously I can't make bookshelves have unique tops without a mod. That's kinda lazy mojang, kinda lazy.
I love all the stuff you are making now!
Especially the gold ore a few posts back!

750, 500, 500, 1000,
50, 35, 750, 10
Default=1
Egads! That would be a lot of skulls.

Yes, that's what I had in mind. I've never used that ctm feature though, so I only hope it works the way I think it does.

Given that screenshot, you should be. Just don't make the special alt textures too common.
Although that might be like a 1 in a million chance.
