I'm afraid I'll be taking a (hopefully) short hiatus. I've kind of lost interest in working on it at the moment and I'm trying to work with terrain colours (to make the world look less boring). :\
VERY nice texture pack! Shame you are stopping! One thing that could REALLY make this pack perfect, would if you used a lot is "hue shifting" By this I mean shifting hue towards purple for shadow and towards yellow for highlights. This brings lots of depth to the textures and makes them ultimately more interesting to look at. It's used in quite a lot of pixel art :biggrin.gif:
If you REALLY want to stop, then I wouldn't mind doing a fan update, if it s allowed, of course!
That's extremely thoughtful of you (:ohmy.gif:), but I'm still going. I've just stopped for a lil' while. I've got lots to do in real life (exams are coming soon as well) and I've just kinda lost interest in texturing at the moment. I'm sure I'll get back into it, but for now... We'll have to deal without 1.1 compatibility. :\

One question; on specifically your banner it says "member"
I'm now officially part of the Texture Artists' Union (or TAU for short). I'm supposed to add that symbol somewhere on my OP and in my signature. If you click on the one in my OP, it should bring you to the main TAU thread. :happy.gif:
Well done for getting into the TAU! You might be unaware, but I am a TAU admin :wink.gif:
Ha. I think I saw you in the list of admins but since I kinda just skimmed through, I might've forgotten. Oh well.
Thanks, man. :smile.gif:
EDIT: And to answer your previous "question"... One of my biggest problems when making pixel art is the colours. I can't seem to make 'em look right. I dunno if it's because I don't rework them afterwards or if I just need more practice. Maybe even both. But I know I'm not the best. :\
Its a pretty nice texture pack, but there doesnt seem to be some sort of theme, so it loses alot of unity and it feels kinda jumbly. Like the textures dont fit well together. Try to acheive some unity, make a theme, and this will be a superb texture pack :smile.gif:

Here's the thing: I originally made this texture pack as a way to practice and hone my pixeling skills. And I have! Immensely! I never actually had any specific theme in mind. After getting pretty far, I ended up coming to the conclusion that it was a sort of cartoony texture pack with realistic aspects to it. And it was pretty shiny as well (still is). Slowly but surely, I'm beginning to give it a theme, but for now and for quite some time after that, no REAL theme. :sad.gif:
Would you like to explain what you don't like in specific? It'd help me tons. :smile.gif:
God. Adf.ly is so annoying! I mean, if I myself don't like it, why should I make you guys go through it?
Oh, and, uhm, yeah. STOP SOPA!
I know about that whole hue shifting thing. I'm a pixel artist myself, though clearly not the best (http://ilosm.deviantart.com/ and http://www.pixeljoint.com/p/28166.htm). I've tried to do that in my newer textures, but it's not always very prominent.

I'm attempting to get back into the groove and up to now, it's going pretty well. :smile.gif:
I'm for that.
Here are two pictures for y'all:

EDIT: Here we go! I'm back with Version 1.5!
I made mine with the exact same LEAF shape.... Guess I'd better work on varying the texture a little, it's way too similar to yours right now.
