ok im having that problem again with the patcher in 1.9pre 5...... Can someone help me?
I tested it with 1.8 and it worked perfectly. And my minecraft.jar is the folder not the actual jar.
I can confirm this problem for an other TP (64X) for the Windows version of the patcher, the spider and enderman textures are grayed out except for the eye portion, examples are given here.
It doesn't happen when I switch to default and it may be only in the Windows version. It happens with and without random mobs checked. Reverting back to a version before 2.2.1 resolves the problem.
1.8 introduced a change in the alpha blending method the game uses for drawing the mobs' eyes. It happens with an unpatched game also. In /mob/spider_eyes.png and /mob/enderman_eyes.png, make sure all the transparent pixels have rgb values of 0. MCPatcher would automatically apply this fix, but I accidentally broke it in 2.2.1.
Great mod! I seem to be having some trouble with it though. When I use the HD Font Mod, it messes up my text! It makes it so that there is a little bit of pixel junk a few pixels after a space. Heres a screenie:

Hey, could you add an option to remove the hard-coded purple tint of the swamps to the Patcher? Clearly Notch won't fix that, and removing that would help many texture packs with the the purple swamp problem (Dokucraft being one of those).

I am using 1.9 prerelease 5 (if that matters)
ive got better grass enabled, and the water and lava re set to custome animated.
the water and lava are properly named (custome_water_still, custom_water_flowing, etc.
and the texture pack is up to date because im the one making it
I love MC Patcher though I am new to mods and I have found TheVoxelModPack very useful but I tried installing mcpatcher first and installing the mod pack and the HD textures are borked. So I tried installing the mod pack first then mcpatcher and everything from the mod pack is broken or removed. Shoot! I was very annoyed at this problem, and just made a new .jar for HD texturepacks
I follow the instructions so they are properly named, and placed.
but they wont show up
You can still have mods but you have to MC patch first unless it's forge then you MC patch LAST

That happened when I used Faithful 32x32. All spiders were white. But not on default. I have no solution, so deal with it. Sorry.
