The textures are buggy again for 1.5.1, maybe it's my patcher?
Yes. That would be whatever patcher you're using, since I have tested the packs on 1.5.1 and they appear correctly. What patcher did you use, out of curiosity? Minecraft 1.5+ shouldn't require patching anymore (unless you're worried about performance issues).
I was wondering if I could use this texture pack for a map of mine? I won't change any texture, really for the texture pack I'll be putting a link to here.
The map is not finished but I was still wondering if could have permission from you?
Thanks

Hey, nice to see you're still updating this. I've always wondered why you haven't tried making another pack, you seem to have a knack for this thing.
Either way, it still looks amazing. =)
Tinkles! Nice to see you around. =D As far as making other packs goes... I actually struggle quite a bit with textures and it takes me irrationally long to get even a minor update out for these packs. Though I think making a more "normal" pack would be fun, I just don't have time to do it.
Have you noticed that when you turn on a redstone lamp with this texturepack, it goes to the default redstone lamp texturepack?
Ohhhh.... that wouldn't be very good, would it? Which pack are you using and which version of minecraft? I just tested it in-game and it seems to be working correctly for me on both the current release and current snapshot, so I think you must have just run into one of those random graphical bugs.

I'm using Minecraft 1.5.2 official release and I'm using Modified Portal 32x32 for 1.5 (your official release).
This thing also happens for the detector rail when a mine cart rolls over it.
I found this problem and solved it:
Go into the texture pack file
Go to textures
Go to blocks
Find 2 files, one called 'redstonelight_lit.png' and 'redstonelight_lit.txt'
Rename them 'redstoneLight_lit.png' and 'redstoneLight_lit.txt'
Done. For some strange reason, the lower case 'L' causes it to not work, I assume this is the same for powered rail
EDIT: I had another look in the files and the texture pack doesn't actually have a file called 'detectorRail_on.png' which would be for that
I can't rename these files.
EDIT: I renamed them the manual way! It works!

Just checked, and you're completely right. The l needs to be a capitalized L for some reason, so I'll make sure to include that fix in the next update. I'll also get those rails fixed, so thank you for the problem solving!
I noticed your textures for the Portal Gun mod are a bit out of date, I'm working on that for you, I can give you a link to the fixed version when I'm done but it might take a while
EDIT: Finished the 32x32 Modified Portal Portal Gun Mod textures, are they different in Precisely Portal? I'll check, I'm making a Portal 1 and Portal 2 version of your pack, the portal 2 version contains some of the alternate textures, also, where would you like me to put the download links when I'm finished?
iChun has updated AGAIN? iChun rarely used to update, but it looks like he/she's been working on the mod a lot again recently so I'll have to check that more often. As far as making textures goes... you really don't need to worry about that--but if you happen to have already made some new textures that I haven't gotten around to yet and want to submit them here for me/other people to use, that's always perfectly welcome. =) If they're particularly pretty then I might even be tempted to add them to the official packs (but no promises! I need to make sure everything matches nicely)! And lastly: Precisely Portal and Modified Portal both use the same textures for the portal gun mod so it should be the same regardless of which pack you use.
EDIT: I just checked for version 1.5.2 of the gun mod, and it doesn't look like there are any new textures added since 1.5.0 (my last update of the mod). So if the images aren't showing up when you install the mod, iChun might have just switched a couple of folders around--I'll look into that a bit later.
Carlotta! Could you get me the version for 1.7.3? I am going to make an adventure map with it (after I make the other one which is based on portal 2) This is because the 1.5 textures just look weird in 1.7

But... there isn't a 1.7.3 yet. The current release of minecraft is 1.5.2--so what do you mean? If you mean Beta 1.7, I'm afraid I don't keep backups for every single update of minecraft (but on occasion I'll back up a certain version and put the link to it in the change log). I've kept all the old files from before the new texturing system came out, so the packs should theoretically still look fine in Beta .jars.
(6/19/13 EDIT) In other news: 1.6 will be changing the texture packs to a new "resource pack" system. As such, there's a lot of back-end stuff I need to trudge through. So that in combination with all the new mobs/items/etc might make this new update take a while. In fact, I probably won't be updating until 1.6 is officially released (so as to avoid breaking everyone's packs. 1.5 and below will be supported on the older version, and only 1.6+ will be supported in the new one. I'll make sure both versions are available in the change log when the update comes).
But until then, 1.5 has been minorly updated to fix a few bugs (like detector rails and redstone lamps not showing correctly). Enjoy.
i think its brown but im not sure. the reason im asking is because im building a room out of it in mcedit and i forgot to check what kind of wool it is.

Yes, that would be brown wool.
1.6 update:
Moved to the new "Resource Pack" system, so the packs are now resource packs instead of texture packs and will NOT work in any version lower than Minecraft 1.6. If you'd like to continue using a 1.5 texture pack version (or lower), please check the change log for a download link.
New: log tops, horses, donkey, horse armors, lead knot, and coal block. Also, alternate textures are now in a separate folder for easy copy/pasting.

How did you do the logs? And can you make the pressure plates different textures that way?
How did you do the logs? And can you make the pressure plates different textures that way?
In 1.6 Mojang added new log top files. By default, they all look like the oak wood log, but all you have to do is update the .png to your new texture in order to get it to show. I wish I could use this method to make pressure plates look differently (and I did look into that to see if it was possible!) but until Mojang adds a pressure plate .png it will continue to draw automatically from the wood textures. So I don't think I can customize it any further at the moment.
the Portal Gun mod textures were all on one file but iChun had move the files do a different place and made them separate files. I noticed that you've done this now so don't worry
I noticed that your edited language files names the poisonous potato 'PotaTOS' I actually have a PotatOS science kit and on the box it says 'PotatOS' so it would help if you fixed that
Also I'm English and I prefer to have my language set to English (UK) so I was wondering if you could make a separate custom language file for English (UK) that has all the custom names, I would just change the file name but I assume that would use all the American words which would defy the whole point
PotatOS will be fixed in the next release--good catch. And you're correct that changing the name of the file wouldn't solve the problem you're having... but I'm afraid I have no current plans to support en_UK or any other language files beyond en_US (the default). There are SO many language files, and even just supporting one takes enough time and effort into my releases that I cannot feasible support any other ones.
But you're always welcome to move my custom changes over to your own UK file, if you like. It just involves a lot of analyzing to see what is different and hand moving phrases.
The map is not finished but I was still wondering if could have permission from you?
Thanks
To both of you: Yes, but please check the permissions section. I did include it in the OP post so people could find this information easily. =)
Either way, it still looks amazing. =)
