Great and awesome work!!!! I use this texture pack non-stop on my gaming pc...my other one can't handle it.. :angry.gif:
Just one thing, it might be my Minecraft or my pc but the lava and water textures look even more crap like those in the vanilla textures.
I'm currently using the compressed version of your 256*256 pack. everything works perfectly, just those two things don't.
Wondered if you guys know why, or could tell me what I've done wrong. :smile.gif:
wow those pics r awesome? will you change it to those for all the texture packs (like 64x) or just the high res 256x256 and 512x512?
We'll see how well the downsampling will work for the x512 pack. I will certainly have a x256 download for it as I'm running the pack on that resolution for testing. XD

Keep it up! Best texture pack ever!
Hmmmm... That is quite odd. =(
I had another guy who had the same issue a while back. I believe he fixed it by doing a fresh install and repatching the game. For some reason it wasn't detecting that it had animated fire/lava. Maybe it wasn't checked in the patcher?
The 512x photos are causing me to drool. You nailed the stone texture. Am I too early to the party? Where is the link to download this version of your texture pack? I feel like I'm on google+ waiting for everyone else to catch on. :smile.gif:
Also, what font do you use in your LB Photo Realism signature?
It's looking quite promising. I can't wait for a release. ^^
A bit too early. I just released the photos last night and I have like 10 textures finished thus far. I may release a "beta" version later this week with many LBPR placeholders.
Dude! Nice! when can you have the 512x pack up for download? i have a good computer i run your 256x pack at over 150 fps so i wonder how well ill do at 512x!
In due time. =)
It's 4x larger than the x256 so I'm not sure how well it will run. My computer runs out of memory, lol
You've been doing quite a lot with your texture pack, Skuttles, did you imagine you would get as far as you have come to now? I can't imagine you've devoted to this project, patiently listening to all the feedback you've received. This is without a doubt the most popular 256x256 texture pack out there (soon to be 512x512?!). And I'm sure you've been getting quite an income from those Adf.ly links. But once Minecraft blows over, what do you plan on doing?
It's really nostalgic to pan back through the first few pages and realize how far I've come. I never thought it would become this popular. I remember thinking "yay, 500 views!" I hope to be the most popular x512 pack out there as well. :wink.gif:
I've been quite a nice amount of money from the Adf.ly, but it's all going into the bank account for my kid. Once Minecraft blows over I'll hopefully have everything finished that I have planned and simply leave with a touching goodbye.

It was checked in MCPatcher, but thanks for your fast response! Incredible O.O
Hm, I also thought "Maybe a fresh new install will do" but no, not really. Still the same problem.
I'll try using the non-compressed version of your texture pack, maybe that'll work, who knows. :smile.gif:
Anyway, thanks again for answering my concern, so quickly. O.O
EDIT:
Maybe you could send me a beta of your 512*512 texturepack aswell, my pc runs your 256er with about 150fps,too.
If you want to: People who think that the 512*512 version could work on their pcs, could send you or post their pc stats in this thread.
That might give others a hint in finding out which version of your textur pack might work on their pcs
Just an idea, of course.
Curious if my com will be able to run 512x. Do you think a 2gb graphics card with 8gbs memory and quad core i7 will be able to run 512x? Excited to see how it goes.

If you allocate your memory correctly in the java config, and install Optifog/Optimine, I would imagine an average of 50 fps with that set-up. I've got around the same hardware as you (except more ram) and I get about 200+ FPS with this texture pack and optifog. So I would imagine the 512 (fancy settings, far render distance), although quite resource intensive, should still run fine.
No way you can run it with a super computer... why would you even bother asking?
Chuck Norris can't run it, so why would you be able to with your super computer?

Haha, quite welcome. This pack was built off of the fans so I have a high respect for them. =)
I'm entrusting the beta to 2 people as of right now. I'll post a downloadable version in the near future. Likely later this week depending on how things go. Usually I get frustrated and delete hours of work because may not look right. Probably a bad habit...
That is awesome, the x512 new texture pack. I'm looking forward to testing the limits of my computer, but I might need to do the upgrade I am thinking of doing anyway - upgrading my 1 stick of 2GB RAM to 2 sticks of 4GB RAM
I would HIGHLY suggest getting more RAM. The x512 is 4x larger in resolution than the x256 so it will take up much more memory.
cant wait to see how it looks in 512 cause it looks amazing! kinda looks like rpg, but i like it! wood and cobble looks amazing so much!hope you fix the sand soon. wonder if the patcher will work with it. kinda wanna do a 8pix just to see how it looks XD GOOD Work! Keep it up!
The x512 is basically another pack entirely. It was based off of Oblivion because I'm excited for Skyrim. XD
The wildgrass for the x512 will simply look astonishing based off of what I can do with it so I plan to keep that mod in mind for when I progress further.
The sand is fixed (sort of) and I've moved on to trying to finish the terrain this week.
Curious if my com will be able to run 512x. Do you think a 2gb graphics card with 8gbs memory and quad core i7 will be able to run 512x? Excited to see how it goes.
Probably as long as you've allocated enough memory.
Indeed I'm also busy with an "unknown project" for x512,
But I always make my textures at 2048x2048 it's easier to edit + I can use it for other projects to :smile.gif:
That's quite exciting. =)
I made the mistake of creating all of mine at 256x256 so when the new patcher came along being able to go higher I was unable to get to a higher resolution. Imagine a texture pack with a resolution of 2048x2048, lol
So I just started from scratch and made an Oblivion based texture pack at x512. ^^
can i have the beta? i really would like to see if it runs or melts my computers face off (lol) but may i?
i love this texture pack i used this pack since day 1 i started minecraft and i love every texture in it!
Got shaders, bumpmapping and specular mapping on the 256 LB photo realism. Looks so good.
Along with all that I also installed the waving wheat, grass and leaves shader and bloom.

I hope so. :wink.gif:
I'm quite excited for the 1.8 lighting. Hopefully the x512 pack will be finished by then. =)
I'll finish up polishing a few more textures and send them your way. Oh, and IronWill will (lol) certainly get it as well. I trust your computers.

So much work to be done with the x512. So many pixels. O.O
