So what if the ender isn't another dimension but in essence the "end" of time. you travel through the air portal and you arrive in the same spot but a million years later. There's giant ruined cities and buildings. The land has no minerals and is useless to dig through. And of course, the endermen and their dragons roam everywhere.

That would actually be pretty cool. Didn`t think of it that way.

maybe a similar seed to the your overworld? ruins of your old house? old villages?

This sounds sort of like the Mazeworld idea someone had awhile back.

Actually, someone in the thread suggested a mob that only moves when you're not looking at it. So there's another similarity.

probobly not the portal Notch added recently though, that one im positive is being saved for skylands

Though this makes the additions more interesting and adds mystery, I highly doubt that's what they've got in mind. They've been talking about the Skylands and dragons for a long time.

I had a vision. After reading this post, I came with a conclusion:

What if the ender isn't a new demention, nor the "end" of time... what if it was the begining of time? what if enderman had found something, something so terrifying, that they had to warn someone in the far furure? What if "record 11" was steve, stumbling upon an endermans writing, from the past? What if steve has altered all of time, and created enderman? What if enderman were man-made?

Thats quite a good idea actually OP.

Like if you build a large castle and you enter the portal, see the ruins of it or something...
