I just got the 1.8 Pre-release, and noticed that if you stand in between a zombie and a skeleton, and the skeleton shoots an arrow at you but it hits the zombie, the zombie will stop attacking you and chase the skeleton until its dead. The skeleton, however, will just stand there and continue to attack the player, ignoring the zombie until its death.
I think this is amazing, it makes more sense that mobs aren't working together to kill me. I think it'd be neat though, if skeletons and skeletons worked together and didn't attack each other, zombies and zombies would work together, but a skeleton and a zombie if provoked will attack each other. It adds realism to the game and is interesting, now the mobs are actually mobs rather than just monsters out to kill me :]
I love how the moment Notch says "he's considering mob-to-mob interactions" everyone starts finding the mob-to-mob interaction that's been in there since Survival Test as something new, heh.
So what if the information is old, I'm suggesting that skeletons shouldn't kill other skeletons, zombies other zombies, and so on. Mobs of their own kind should work together, it would make the game more interesting.

You just said it was amazing, because now you knew that they weren't working together to kill you. Now you're saying they should work together.

Mobs of their own kind should work together, I said.
I meant that when they are all just after me, it seems like all the skeletons, creepers, zombies, and spiders are solely after the player and don't mind each other.

What is your opinion?
"sometimes, wizards are so awesome, it hurts"
