Well, I'll let that up to you. But you do have a role. Also, I would suggest improving your grammar. We highly treasure players who can type and RP correctly. Don't take it offensively.

Character Name: Anahlay Twalland
Character Race: Elf
Character Class: Woodsmen
Character Role (out of the set roles): Cook
Character Biography (should be at least 250 words): Anahlay grew up on the island south of Araethon, isolated away with the rest of her Elven race. Her mother, which was the only family she lived with, worked at a small little shop for marksmen/woodsmen. She would craft the best bows ever, for a fairly cheap price. Anahlay would always try helping her mother and would always make terribly fletched bows, or try to sell items to people. This was just the basic life that Anahlay lived, and she didn't mind it one bit.
Years passed and soon her mother grew slightly ill, but then soon the illness, which seemed to be only a cold, turned worst and more flu-like. It wouldn't go away, no matter how many trips to the apothercary or healers they took. Soon enough, the sickness overwhelmed her mother and she had died. Anahlay was forced to take after the shop, but soon after she closed it.
About a year after her mother's death, she had learned many things by herself, like learning how to make the basic bow and arrow, and knew how to easily shoot prey. Anahlay would jump tree to tree, climbing things, anything to get food because of her high agility. Later on she'd cook the food and sell some of it in the market to help pay for other basic necessities. Anahlay had picked these things up slowly as she progressed, sometimes remembering the way her mother did things to help her out. At the end of the year, she moved off the island and to the mainland, looking for a place to settle and start a shop to sell her game she hunts.
What are your character's ambitions: To simply have a nice, little shop and hunt in peace. Possibly a family? Her dream, though, is to become a great archer.
What are your character's strengths?: Use of a bow, climbing, and sneaky.
What are your character's weaknesses?: Any sword better than stone, body strength, and very competitive.
What are your character's fears?: Death.
A guard walks up to you and tells you that you have been convicted of treason. What is your reaction?: Let him take me to jail, but at midnight I pick the lock of the jail door and sneak out. If failed, I could alwaysbribe my way out..

kat457 I've got to say, you did exactly what I'm looking for. Woodsmen can't use bows though, but they can get the extension with RP training. Good news though. We'll give you that extension. Also, it's illegal to hunt on the Elven nation/island, so that would be very interesting to see as well. I hope to see you online on Sunday!
Alright, standard application here. Edit: Post-acceptance edit to make backstory fit better with lore.

Character Name: Jafscim
Character Race: Human (Halegronian)
Character Class: Craftsman
Character Role (out of the set roles): Westfall's Blacksmith
Character Biography (should be at least 250 words):
Jafscim was a young child living in a small village out in the wilderness by the name of Sorengaard. It was a town of science, a town of magic, a town where humans and elves coexisted. Placed in a realm of learning, of the arcane, and the elves, Jafscim became fascinated with the world around him. By the age of 7, he was eagerly looking forward to learning how to manipulate the natural world, wishing he could start his training to become an alchemist already, but things sure changed quickly. One night, an orc raid descended on the town. His father through a light-blue vial at him, and yelled at him to run. That was the last he would see of his family. After a terror-filled night in the nearby forest, Jafscim returned to town to see it utterly decimated. Although he found nothing to indicate his parents’ deaths, he could find no signs of life either. Grief-stricken, Jafscim wandered for days and nights until he came upon refuge in the town of Westfall. Fortunately for him, the blacksmith had recently lost his wife and son to a raid, so he was spared the orphanage and in spite of his young age taken to become an apprentice. Jafscim was disappointed, Westfall seemed focused solely on the mineral world, but at least as an apprentice he could reassure himself he at least could manipulate some portion of the world. As a result, he grew older, taking over for the old blacksmith when he left for adventure, fulfilling his duties, but yearning to learn more about the world, and vowing that were he to have the chance, he would unleash the world upon the orcs... those despicable beings that ruined his family and the family of his dear mentor.
What are your character's ambitions:
He has an innate desire to learn more about the world, and given the opportunity, would likely pursue alchemy and/or non-destructive magics. Mostly, he seeks to learn about what happened to his parents and if rumors of his father being held captive by the king are true. As a wish, if given the opportunity to control a populous/army, Jafscim would likely seek to destroy bandits and any of the orcs' major cities.
What are your character's strengths?:
Jafscim is incredibly skilled at his craft and manipulating metal. On top of that, his experiences in Sorengaard have helped him become a rapid learner and the customs have made him a convincing orator, a characteristic uncommon of a blacksmith. Additionally, due to a fear of loss, Jafscim is fiercely loyal.
What are your character's weaknesses?:
He is incredibly racist towards orcs and will not do business with them. Additionally, given an opportunity and advantage, Jafscim will likely attempt to kill the orc even if it is against the law of the land. On top of that, whether towards orcs or in the pursuit of knowledge, Jafscim does not have a good understanding of caution, and is more likely to endanger himself than a logical individual would be.
What are your character's fears?:
Jafscim cannot stand to be in forests at night, as they bring back the horrible fear and paranoia of the night of the raid. As aforementioned, he is also fearful he might lose his companions like he lost his parents.
A guard walks up to you and tells you that you have been convicted of treason. What is your reaction?:
Demand an audience to prove my innocence as I would never betray my leaders. If the reaction of the guard/scenario implied I would have a chance to do so, I would then go along "quietly" (in quotes because I would be nosily inquiring what brought about those charges), otherwise I would pull out a poker, or tongs with a hot coal in them depending upon my location to blind the guard and proceed to run towards the nearest city I could convince to take me in until my name is cleared.
Warning: A smaller wall of text than the last. But still, it's a forming character for me.

~ Define Roleplay: Roleplay is the art of acting out another persona/character similar or completely opposite to yourself through any possible setting; prefferably via game-engine. It is something most people come to enjoy, but that enjoyment is short-lived if one does not understand the proper boundaries of Roleplaying. ~ What is Meta-Gaming?: Metagaming is the act of the character one is playing and fueling him/her with information he/she does not actually know themselves via out-of-character knowledge. It is something everyone tends to do unconsciously through habit, but it is not a habit you want to keep as a Roleplayer. Ex: Hearing conversations through thick walls or twenty yards away, seeing a name tag through a wall and instantly knowing where the person is (hiding), someone told you through an OOC message that there will be a robbery and your character instantly knows about it and reports it, etc. ~ What is Power-Gaming?: The act of giving your character "godlike" powers and/or actions that are completely impossible comparing to the prior Roleplay. Ex: Throwing someone thirty feet in the air, auto-hitting (I hope people know what this is), a character being able to fly, being able to do ALL THE THINGS (like fighting, smithing, archery, farming, hunting, brewing, etc.) ~ Who can use Flymod?: No one. \=- IC Information -=/
- Character Name: Adoril Swift - Character Race: Human - Character Class: Warrior Class -=- It is hard to understand at first, and I think this should be fixed on the main post - Because yes you have to read very thoroughly to pick up the class you want as the only marker that tells you what exactly you're looking for is the fact that the title says "Class Specialization". It's hard to connect all the dots, especially when there might not be a class you want in the specialization list, and so yeah. - Wanted Class Specializations: Educated, Alchemy, Cook - In that order; I will look for a teacher, if there are any for each. - Character Role: After spending most of his life in Cheesetopia, Adoril has migrated to Westfall in hopes of becoming a soldier of some sort. Serve and Protect. Adoril's arrogance fuels him to become a higher power, to earn his glory and respect he feels he so well deserves. The potential he has, should not be wasted in a lowly bakery at Cheesetopia.
~ Character Biography: Adoril grew up in Cheesetopia as the son of a baker and carpenter. While his father worked as both a carpenter and a hunter that supplied Adoril's household with food, his mother barely put anything in as a part-time baker.
Adoril's father worked kindly with pride at a local pawn shop that sold intricately crafted pieces of furniture and metal work. The shop also had it's own wood shop, crafting area for the shopkeeper. But after seeing his father's handiwork, the owner generously allowed his father to complete his pieces there. Adoril's father mostly made hardwood, pine, and cherrywood bed frames and/or dining chairs. When his bigger pieces weren't selling, Adoril's father would have to resort to making these little oak boxes that could fit in both your hands - With hand crafted wood leaves framing the handle. They were an exclusive of the pawn shop and sold fast even though they took long to make.
When things got really tough, Adoril and his mother would beg his father to ask the shopkeeper for a loan... But, his father wouldn't bear the shame of it. He was too prideful... Those were the days Adoril didn't get any meals in...
Adoril worked almost as much as his father. He worked in the bakery with his mother usually with no payment whenever he could, and sometimes in the pawn shop with his father for a little extra pocket change to his family. Adoril was an only child, so when things got tough it was hard not to just blame himself for not helping as much. Adoril was an over-achiever needed everything perfect, which ended up in the destruction of himself over time.
Hunting was his favorite past time. The look in an animals eyes as that well-known sixth sense kicks in just before the black shafted arrow hits it's chest. Whenever he could, Adoril would sneak away with his father outside the city and hunt. For a few years when Adoril first started going, he couldn't do anything but follow. Most of the time he would scare game away stumbling through the forest as a kid as his father walked with dead silence. But, his father showed no indifference with his son tagging along. After a while, Adoril could go about quietly just like his father, if not better as he was smaller. When Adoril was around fourteen, his father had managed to buy out a series of fresh cut willow branches. The branches were in perfect condition, growing in the best amount of sunlight and set in a rivet in the ground so it always got water.
Adoril's father had been keeping his eye on the tree ever since it started growing into a mature willow. The lumberjacks had also kept their eyes on it, making sure it would become a wealthy cut. It was a win-win situation for everyone. Even though it had taken a significant amount of raised money as well as debt money, his father bought the best of the willow. He cut it down as soon as he got it, working past the pawn's closing hours and deep into morning before the branches dried.
It actually took a few weeks to make, and even then it wasn't perfect. A series of strips had been made and specially crafted/bent for the bow's intricate build. It was far superior in comparison to his father's hunting bow, but not when Adoril used it. It came as a surprise on his fifteenth birthday. It was a size too big for Adoril even at the height of 5'9", and if it wasn't for it's bends, one would classify it as a longbow.
It took a full year to be able to even draw it back repetitively. He almost gave up on trying as he built up his strength.
[Time Skip Until Age 24]
Adoril's mother died shortly before Adoril turned twenty-four. Natural causes. It left Adoril to own the bakery his mother had worked so hard to earn. Adoril's father had died when he was 19 anyways, natural causes.
Adoril did not cry for his mother's death. It was not something he feared coming. They both had accepted it. She lived a happy and well fulfilled life. Rising from the ashes of poverty, Adoril's family had made a life. But, that was all gone... After completing battle-school Adoril was left with a lazy city that did not need him. They didn't need to throw money at yet another soldier. Other bakeries and taverns had opened up, far beyond Adoril's skill to compete with. He had no choice, but to sell the shop.
He actually had a choice... But it wasn't what he felt to be his true goal.
With a few goodbyes and even the slow explanation to what he would name to be his first love... Adoril left for Westfall with a numbness in his heart. All feelings had to be wiped clean. That was his plan, a fresh start with a history long gone. Westfall was the future. It had to be.
A new opportunity.
- What are your Character's Ambitions: Adoril has always had an air of arrogance. Arrogance that he knows and accepts to have, even as a weakness. He knows he has potential in the lands of Araethon, to make his name last throughout the ages. The tension between nations... May seem as a threat to most. But, to tacticians and businessmen like Adoril, this can be seen as an opportunity. The land is new and ready for anyone's taking. But who's hand will reach it first? Who's hand will be the first to make the prolonged move that may cost lives, or even have economic consequences? This is what eats away at every living thing in Araethon... The unknown. Each nation fears it's neighbor, but why? Because... You never know who'll make the first move.
And Adoril plans on taking this to its' true advantage...
- What are your Character's Strengths?: Adoril has always had a natural skill in hand-eye coordination. He could hit the eye of a finch with a stone from twenty yards away as a child, if he tried. His accuracy was spot on. A protégé in the art of projectile weaponry. He grew up hunting with his father, even helped craft his own willow short-bow. Although, it was not some ordinary hunting bow his father made... It was made to suit Adoril's needs. Power. The bow was made for power, with a seventy-five pound drawback weight. Hours every weekend after helping his mother in the bakery, put into training with that bow. Physical exercise just to be able to pull it back a few times. It was his pride to be able to use it.
Another strength other than archery, which he has become a little rusty on, is his knack for speaking. With a bit of information and time, Adoril would be able to fulfill the appeals of almost anyone he spoke to. He could easily make friends, and just as well enemies. A true silver-tongue with words.
Finally, Adoril considers education his last main strength. To know things that others don't. The power one holds when they use information and knowledge to their advantage. Adoril holds knowledge above anything, both for good and bad.
- What are your Character's Weaknesses?: The first thing that comes to mind is Adoril's small fear of spiders. Not the huge ones that wait in caves and mineshafts or come out at night, even if they make an incredibly annoying sound, but the small ones... The ones you never expect to be on your shoulder but they are... The ones thay leave stinging bites... Those are the worst.
Another weakness is Adoril's endurance. He's always had an unknown heart problem that makes it harder for his heart to keep his blood moving throughout the top of his body - Making it work two times harder to keep it from pooling in his legs. Adoril has always prefered to get things done faster than with time... Because the longer something takes for him to get done, the more energy he looses. Speed is Adoril's patron.
Another weakness that applies to combat is Adoril's natural tendency to lower his head, especially when doing a spin or fainting a hit and coming around with another. When he does this it is harder for him to react or anything to outside forces as he is putting all his power into a blow you won't see coming.
Finally, his left eye is partially blind - He sees darker objects with it and brightness makes everything fuzzy. Helmets and cowls always helped this for him when out and about. This may be a defect in his heterochromia. (Look up heterochromia if you don't know what it is.)
- What are your Character's Fears?: The fear of spiders, like said above. He has a hint of claustrophobia, just a hint of it. It comes randomly, more with people than it does with tight spaces. And he has always had a small fear of darkness, the unknown.
- What does your Character look Like?: Starting with the most noticeable features on Adoril's slim build is Adoril's face. Dark brown chocolate hair covers Adoril's head and partially his eyes in a natural evanstyle/combover. Oddly enough, his slightly long hair bothers him if it isn't set right - Which poses questions of why he doesn't cut it, but that's beside the point. Normally when Adoril is bored, if he isn't wearing a cowl, you can see him sweep his head to the side to set his hair back into it's natural combover. Coming farther down to where the tendrils of his hair cover the top of his, you can see his eyes. His right eye is a deep sea blue... Like the purest of waters stirring around itself as it battles for contrast with his obsidian black pupils. Adoril's eyes hold an aura of intelligence, as well as riskful curiousity.
Adoril's left eye is a striking emerald green... A result of his heterchromia. Miners tend to lock gaze on his blind eye, wondering if they could mine some of that striking emerald, they'd make a fortune.
A bit below and between his eyes is a sharp nose... It's set on an acute angle to his face, no doubt easy to break if it was ever hit. It adds to his handesome look, especially with the very light dab of freckles across the bridge of his nose.
Under his sense of smell is his lips. Pretty bland compared to the rest of his face... Pale, thin, almost dead... But, when his cheeks crease and that bright, sarcastic smile crosses his face... It's all reborn. Pearly white teeth that Adoril spent his early adult years trying to fix and clean from a childhood of eating scraps are set behind his pale lips. They guard the voice like silk and words as rich as diamonds that move dozens to his will.
The rest of Adoril's face just follows his overall look. A strong and sharp jaw with relatively high cheek bones. Ears that can be seen portruding slightly outside of the hair that cover the first half of his hair that have almost perfect hearing... Et cetera.
Adoril's physical appearance is relatively ripped in appearance than it is built. Adoril is slim with the height of six foot flat, with broad shoulders and a long thin scar that runs across his right shoulder and across his chest. A few other small scars run across both his arms, as well on his back, but it's nothing serious from his childhood.
Adoril's attire is something of outlandish. He is clad in a black tunic under a-- Screw this I'll put this in later but right now this is just pathetic. I refuse to pull a character out of my ass right now, it'll just be all ramble and bull**** and that won't make it in my book of characters. You'll have to deal with what I have right now.

ArchBishopExodus I liked it. Only 3 things. One, we don't like people creating places. Two, it would be unrealistic for the Humans and Elves to have their own community, considering their distance (I'm sure you didn't know this) and other reasons. Third, the necromancers are long gone and we don't want to see/hear/speak about them again. So as long as you forget about the necros, and a town where elves and humans lived in by an imaginary place, you're in.

I had planned on Adoril being a swordsman before I wrote out the bio and stuff... So...
Yeah... I should have seen that... Adoril grew up hunting... In the woods... Plus, he's a man... I should have put two and two together and realized it was Woodsman. Yeah... Sorry.
Oh yeah, those things are fine. I was just trying to spice up my character to avoid another bread and butter parents dying orphan story. Thanks for letting me in, I'm looking forward to this server!

Ex: Throwing someone thirty feet in the air, auto-hitting (I hope people know what this is), a character being able to fly, being able to do ALL THE THINGS (like fighting, smithing, archery, farming, hunting, brewing, etc.)
~ Who can use Flymod?: No one. There is a difference between Creative and Flymods through hacked clients.
\=- IC Information -=/
- Character Name: Adoril Swift
- Character Race: Human
- Character Class: Warrior Class -=- It is hard to understand at first, and I think this should be fixed on the main post - Because yes you have to read very thoroughly to pick up the class you want as the only marker that tells you what exactly you're looking for is the fact that the title says "Class Specialization".
\=- Roleplay Example -=/
*A guard walks up to you and tells you that you have been convicted of treason. What is your reaction?:
I'm pretty sure you don't need an example. Hopefully...
If this doesn't do it... I don't know...
*Looks at kat457's application*
*Looks back at the old one I had as well as the new one*
*Sizes up the reasoning between feedback and the applications itself*
*... This... *
Whelp, I'll be on a cruise then :/
Thanks! I'm glad that I did what I did then. Sorry, also. I didn't know they couldn't use bows. Same with the hunting deal. Can't wait till the server starts, however!
Character Role (out of the set roles):To cook food for people.
A guard walks up to you and tells you that you have been convicted of treason. What is your reaction?:I would tell them I didn't do it and have facts to back me up.

I liked it.

It's good, but if you're a warrior class, you can't know archery. Other than that, it's really, really good. Welcome.
REJECTED!

Um. Really? Sorry bud, we don't need you.
I can't believe I missed that! Soooooo sorry, I entered the Class category as Warrior when I first was making the application because I like to get the small things out of the way first, and I forgot to change it to Woodsman after... I had planned on Adoril being a swordsman before I wrote out the bio and stuff... So...
Yeah... I should have seen that... Adoril grew up hunting... In the woods... Plus, he's a man... I should have put two and two together and realized it was Woodsman. Yeah... Sorry.
Final Tweak: Class is now Woodsman.
*starts to have a horrible flashback of an old server*
I don't want to know. xD
