I sent you an email regarding various things over a week ago and no reply? This puts me off going with you guys if this is how the support is going to be :/
was going to try you guys but seeing that i cant get a dedicated ip for a 2gb server never mind. Also are oyu allowed to control your slots or is there a set amount?
EDIT: Only 4 hours after this post, they finally answered my ticket, as well as gave me an extra 2 weeks of server hosting free for the delay. I appreciate the help!
The performance is good, but after a week of attempting to contact the company for support about being double charged when setting up my server through both the sales and support email, the support ticket system, and PMs on this forum, the customer service seems to be a bit behind.
They state that the forums is not their primary choice for communication. If you need to contact them, use their support/client area on their website or contact them via Skype, Twitter, Facebook.

Just gonna throw out that double charging is probably your own fault, i believe that if you doubleclick the order button you will be charged twice - I did the same thing.
Can't say I've shared your experience with delay on support though, they've gotten back to me within the hour of submitting a ticket
10.00 for 2gb as advertised. the only issue i have is how long it takes to get a response. I'm use to other service providers answering me quickly, within an hour or two, not 10-24 hours.

Yeah well I don't really mind, as it's a one time thing setting it up. And when you're paying $30 for a 6GB ram server with Minecrafted.NET, instead of $80-100 with any other company claiming they're cheap (Not gonna mention any names here) anything goes

I had to setup both a recurring subscription that charged instantly, and an instant payment at the time of service when i was opening my server. I had two completely separate transaction types that went through, it wasn't from hitting the same button twice. They did credit me the $10, so it was no big deal, but I don't understand why I had to go through two different types of transactions when I was ordering a server.
So will the package I get vary my world size? New to owning servers...
I'm just curious, as an example, if I get the 3$ package, will I get a 1000x1000 block world compared to the 10$ deal's 100,000.100,000 block world?
Or are all the worlds, no matter tha package, unlimited in size?
Alright i'll try to explain this as simple as possible:
The packages has nothing to do with the map itself in that manner. You can upload as many maps as you want and pretty much how big you want to the server(within the storage capacity defined by the package you purchase) Also: When you start your server, there will already be a map on it. This map is the same as any map you would create in single player.
When you buy the $3 package, you receive a server with 512MB RAM.
If you go with the $10 package, you get 2GB RAM.
RAM (Random Access Memory) is what your servers capacity is based off of.
More RAM = the server can handle more players and plugins.
I emailed them a couple of days ago asking how I could upgrade to 4gb service. I never heard back. I'm asking to spend MORE money, and still can't get an answer. It's cheap, sure, but no one seems to work there. Mysql is free I guess, but how would you ever get it if no one answers you? I'm cancelling service today and considering the lesson of "you get what you pay for" as learned.
These guys are good once it all gets up and running [Took 2 days for mine to be set up]
BUT:
- Support tickets take a very long time to be answered [3 days at times but the average is around 16 hours]
- Custom Jars [Tekkit, Bukkit Dev Builds] etc are not allowed
- I am not allowed to upload Bukkit Dev builds - which really annoys me!
Apart from that they are okay, but I am considering cancelling the service as I need to have Bukkit Dev builds.
They are cheap, but their server is lacking a LOT. If I could at least be able to upload Bukkit Dev builds by myself, I would be a happy customer!!

Uhm, bukkit is allowed. Did you read the original post?
They usually upload the dev builds for bukkit in a short manner of time, so have a little patience
And I'm just so happy that people are not allowed to upload tekkit to their servers. Tekkit is so resource consuming it would eventually lag every server on the node.
As for your support statement, I'm just gonna throw in this quote from the original post:
We are an unmanaged provider but we will still offer "best-effort" support, we will try to answer all non-hardware related questions in a timely manner however, if it is a hardware related issue we will respond
I have 2 questions that I want to know before I purchase hosting - I sent a few emails and didn't get a response, so I suppose I'll ask my questions here.
1. If a new bukkit version comes out, is it a force updated, everyone is upgraded. If so, which build is forced? I am asking this because I heard that you don't support custom jars.
2. Do the servers come with additional hard drive space? While I like that it is SSD, 5gb isn't that much at all.
Be sure to check your Junk/Spam folders too
even still they offer dedicated ips but what ever so its 4gb and up that get dedicated ips?
Cheapest price and the best perfomance!
Thanks!
